How have you not volunteered yourself?! , can we add our dear Dion to the waiting list please? Also can he jump the queue a bit (Sorry Dion you can't decline this )

Dion... It's okay. I'm just waiting for your hot seat don't worry. Beepu, you're lucky yours has gone.

Both need working on tbh. I don't really see it as a Oscar - Cesc or Cesc - Matic partnership per se, I see them as a trio, and they're all as responsible as each other. Fabregas has the most creative freedom out of all so naturally he'll get forward more from deep - here is where Oscar comes in and helps protect the team's shape and offer Matic support. Oscar pretty much said the same here: Also, it's natural that we'll be a bit more exposed with a more expansive style of play... Jose said himself we still have a lot to work on (and he included defensively). It's inevitable, but it's what's needed especially against these smaller sides. For the bigger games we have the best manager in the world in that regards - he won't as be naive as let's say a Wenger in his tactical choices.
-
The Oscar - Cesc partnership definitely isn't perfect yet but give it time... It's only been two games.
-
Uh oh. Lukaku won't like that.
-
Not Ivanovic or Courtois.

4-2-2-2 is essentially a permutation of 4-2-3-1... Man City do it well but they have the players to do so. Mata will still have to go out wide (like Silva), Rooney will still have to drop deep (like Aguero)... They really didn't buy well. It's a mess.
-
Oh wow. RIP.
-
Fergie ruined him by playing him all over the place. He should've been allowed to learn/improve his trade at CB.
-
Rooney has to play, he's captain and on 300k a week lol.
-
That's true, but if they want to play their best players together certain players will have to make sacrifices.
-
I'd say they should go 4-2-3-1 too if they want to fit in their best players. RVP Mata - Rooney - Di Maria Herrera - Fellaini Shaw - Rojo - Smalling/Jones - Rafael DDG Is probably their best XI, that isn't too bad but the midfield and defence is still very, very average.

Not difficult at all... No one disagrees with that. You're basically repeating exactly what people have been discussing about over the last summer regarding Oscar... Which is why it's bizarre you're debating it now because people have been saying this from the beginning. I also believe that Oscar needs to step it up this season and have said on numerous occasions that this is IMO his 'make or break' season, but that doesn't mean I can't commend him for doing well in the 2nd half. What are you even trying to argue now? You're trying to throw points across that no one is arguing against... Your original argument was that Oscar was 'pathetic' and embarrassing etc, people called you out for it and you continued to try and bring completely irrelevant points in to try and back your arguments up (irrelevant in the sense that it's already been discussed and no one necessarily disagrees). Comparing Oscar to Torres is absolutely laughable, how one can even comprehend that in his mind is hilarious. Just let it go man.
-
You aren't comparing Oscar to Torres, but didierforever certainly is.
-
Backtracking now are we? Why didn't you just say that at the start instead of trying to justify your point?
-
It's not about LVG tbh... United's squad is just really, really poor.
-
Wow didierforever will never admit that he's wrong.
-
Why are you even discussing that? It's been discussed over and over and over again and the majority agree that Oscar was very average/poor from the 2nd half of last season. I don't understand why you keep bringing it up like everyone disagrees with you in that....Very odd.
-
Only milking the second half performance because you're milking the first half performance.
-
Not fair to compare that at all because 1) Di Maria has consistently had better players around him 2) Di Maria is older 3) Di Maria only had his first real excellent season last year. I'll have Eden over Angel because I think he'll reach further heights.
-
I'm not downgrading Di Maria at all, he's one of the best players in the world, that doesn't need to be said. if Di Maria was joining us I'd still say Hazard is our best winger. Get over it.
-
I understand that but it's new season, and Oscar has a new role in a slightly different system, which is less creatively reliant on him and suits more to his strengths - he's now more of a number 8. I feel like the judgements we made on him last season is irrelevant in a sense - only that his average season last year means that he has to step up this year - but honestly we shouldn't be expecting him to be our creative outlet anymore (as the number 10) in this system. Hence why I think we should be judging Oscar in a new sense.
-
Having a decent game against United (I know) so far.
-
Exactly, Di Maria has more pace but Hazard is the better dribbler IMO. Not to knock Angel though, who is also an excellent dribbler. Just believe very few are in Eden's league. Only Messi and Iniesta are better dribblers than Eden IMO.
-
What is didierforever discussing though? How average Oscar's been over the last 7/8 months or so? No one disagrees with that (at least to my knowledge) - hence why I don't get his argument whatsoever. Why is he even bringing that up? People are isolating Oscar's singular performance from yesterday and discussing that and he's getting his knickers in a twist because some have just come on here and commended that Oscar did well to turn around his bad first half. His argument is nonsense IMO. Whether you like it or not, Oscar was instrumental in our win yesterday as he created chances (one that ended up as a goal - his delicate pass to Ivanovic) and his shot that hit the post, also the Schurrle chance... Why is it so bad to commend him for that? And you can't put me personally in the "double standards" bracket with your examples because I've backed Ramires and Mikel numerous times on the forum. I call it how I see it fairly I like to believe and I can tell you straight that df's argument is just a strange one. He's getting angry because people are commending Oscar for a nice 2nd half saying we can't forget his first half and basically insinuating that he was by far the worst player and that the bad first half performance was mostly on him and that's absolute bollocks IMO.
