There’s a logical reason as to why imo. Torres came with the reputation of being one of the deadliest strikers on the planet (could argue that he was the best striker in the world in his prime) whereas Morata does not have the sort of rep and has a lot more to prove. Given that, I’ve always said that he should be allowed a season or so to bed in anyway so it’s not a shock to see him struggling atm.

As the saying goes - you create your own luck. We didn’t invest into the team correctly and ultimately that’s the reason why we crossed those fine lines between winning and drawing/losing. If we had better overall quality we’d definitely win the last two games.

Would not include Giroud in your post, he was only on the pitch for what, 10 minutes? How can you blame him or his signing on the result? He was bought to provide a nice reliable back up for Morata and so far he’s done all right. 1 goal and 3 assists so far isn’t that bad (considering he should probably be on 3 goals).

Yeah it was, by Lukaku is still well on his way to scoring probably 30 in all comps this season with around 10 assists. That’s a respectable output. I’m afraid Morata won’t even hit 20 goals this season.

In the same seat sort of. Always said we should give him a season to bed in. Next season we’ll truly see what he’s made of. Things aren’t looking great at the moment after a really good start though.

All that Lukaku slander about how Morata is definitely much better than him and here we are, in a very important fixture... Romelu had a quiet game but still finished with a goal and assist.

If he continues to play at this level at the very least you might be right in the long run for sure. I know a lot of people were mad at the Aké sale but he’s certainly an upgrade. He still seems to be quite under appreciated it seems though.

He’s a good player that’s still quite young for a defender, he’ll only get better. His weaknesses (concentration, positioning) will only get better. We’ve got a top player in the making here if everything goes well for him.

The phrase wasn’t meant to be taken quite literally Henrique lol. My main point was that we’re much more sturdier defensively when he plays instead of his alternative, Cahill/Luiz. Is this false?
