How has the squad got to how it is now? Do you absolve Mourinho of that as well? Mourinho's poor squad management has cost us some good players who would infinitely help in situations like this i.e. KDB, Filipe Luis, Schurrle. Mourinho has a big part to play in why the squad is where it is now. We got rid of players he didn't fancy and brought in players that he did (Cuadrado, Falcao etc.) thus weakening the squad. We fucked up in the summer in not getting the right targets (specifically Stones) but that doesn't mean that Mourinho gets to be vindicated. He's a massive reason why we're in the shit we are now. Surely you can see that argument?

I like how you've completely ignored the Filipe Luis debacle. Honestly, you can't say that we didn't try to get Stones in and that Emenalo chose Papy over Stones. That is just absolutely ridiculous. So Oscar isn't meant to contribute to the control of our game either right? No idea why you keep on bringing up what people in The Shed say either. Honestly, that's a very irrelevant point. What are you trying to say?
-
Take Oscar off and put Traore up front. Please.

My problem with how we're playing today is that it is very Jose esque. We had ball playing defenders (think Filipe Luis and David Luiz) but he didn't fancy them. He'd rather implement a strategy where we'd boot it forward, using Ivanovic as an auxiliary striker to knock the ball down. We used to do it all the time under him. Similarly, his decision to choose Oscar as his number 10 was absolutely disastrous. We have no control in the middle of the park because he's just a very average player that can't control a game at all. That is a major reason why we play the way we do today. It's all well an good saying that we don't have ball playing defenders at the moment but when Jose had them in the squad he never utilised them properly at all. That's why Jose is a major reason why we're looking the way we are right now, and in fact, in most big games.

I'm not just blaming Jose, but he sure has a huge part to play in it.
-
It isn't only Mourinho's fault. What I can't agree with is people like yourself who seem to absolve Mourinho of blame completely. That's my main point.
-
Jose was in charge of this team for 3 years. What you're seeing now is the fruit of his labour if you want to call it that. It'll take Hiddink a while to stamp his ideas onto the squad. He's barely even been here for a week yet.

Willian is looking mad sloppy.
-
This is so pathetic. Don't understand why we're so stand off ish.
-
I can't believe we're actually hoofing the ball when we have no centre forward on the pitch. Lol.
-
I feel like Guus is just following the coaching staff atm.
-
He had an awful game as well.
-
Why do we need a CM like Pogba? Elaborate how KDB wouldn't be an upgrade on Oscar either...
-
You need flat track bullies in your team, honestly.
-
I can't lie - the board did massively mess up on Stones, I agree, and I'm definitely not defending that. I didn't make much sense of the Papy signing initially either but it made some sense as a low budget squad filling signing.
-
In regards to Papy's signing - surely you can see that it was merely a squad filling signing? Surely you can fathom that perhaps the club wanted to go back for Stones/Marquuinhos in the future so didn't want to spend too much on the wrong player right now?
-
How do you know the club hasn't got a plan in place? That's just pure speculation from you, you're saying it as if it's some fact.
-
He was great today. Bit of a flat track bully but he should've been the one, honestly. It should've been Hazard - KDB - Willian. Damn it Jose.
-
Emenalo for manager would be interesting now you bring it up actually.
-
Actually... RM, Barcelona, City etc... They all make signings irregardless of manager. Especially Real.
-
Courtois Azpi - Zouma - JT - Kenedy Matic - Mikel Pedro - Willian - Hazard Remy

Don't forget about me

Fantastic today. When he focuses on his football alone he's a very good player.
-
I WISH HE SCORED .
-
Yup. I was absolutely livid at Cahill. Individual, amateurish mistakes did us in today.
