  1. Interesting team choice from Hiddink (Mikel for Matic). Interested to see how well he and Fabregas link up. Just don't like the blind faith being shown to Ivanovic and Oscar though. We'll see however.
  2. I think Jose had to go but yes, the way people are talking about him is mega disrespectful. He will always be a very important figure here at the club, he's an icon. Just didn't work out the 2nd time around but that doesn't mean he deserves to be called certain names.
  3. I'd sell Remy and get him in. He'd give Costa a proper challenge.
  4. Against your team I'd change Sterling/Isco for Neves, then I'd still win. It's a squad game.
  5. Courtois Bellerin - Stones - Varane - Alaba Verratti - Pogba Sterling - Isco - Neymar Martial I win
  6. Makelele was a holding midfielder. Kante is a dynamic B2B midfielder. Not similar at all.
  7. As many have said... Hiddink has been here for a week.
  8. Completely different types of players...
  9. PS. MOTM is RLC. Was outstanding in the minute that he came on the pitch for. #AcademyDay
  10. Well, that was embarrassing. United should've put us to the sword. Unbelievably bad performance. Relieved we got a point though. I hope Guus wakes up soon and starts changing the team around.
  11. I actually agree. There's lots of space for him to run into when we're on the ball.
  12. United's best dribbler in Martial is facing our worst defender constantly. Why are we not putting our supposed best 1 on 1 defender in his natural position to counter act that?!
  13. Ivanovic once again getting toasted. Courtois saving our ass.
  14. God forbid there be people who don't agree with your opinion. If you think the forum is so beneath you then why do you post/come on here?
  15. How has the squad got to how it is now? Do you absolve Mourinho of that as well? Mourinho's poor squad management has cost us some good players who would infinitely help in situations like this i.e. KDB, Filipe Luis, Schurrle. Mourinho has a big part to play in why the squad is where it is now. We got rid of players he didn't fancy and brought in players that he did (Cuadrado, Falcao etc.) thus weakening the squad. We fucked up in the summer in not getting the right targets (specifically Stones) but that doesn't mean that Mourinho gets to be vindicated. He's a massive reason why we're in the shit we are now. Surely you can see that argument?
  16. I like how you've completely ignored the Filipe Luis debacle. Honestly, you can't say that we didn't try to get Stones in and that Emenalo chose Papy over Stones. That is just absolutely ridiculous. So Oscar isn't meant to contribute to the control of our game either right? No idea why you keep on bringing up what people in The Shed say either. Honestly, that's a very irrelevant point. What are you trying to say?
  17. My problem with how we're playing today is that it is very Jose esque. We had ball playing defenders (think Filipe Luis and David Luiz) but he didn't fancy them. He'd rather implement a strategy where we'd boot it forward, using Ivanovic as an auxiliary striker to knock the ball down. We used to do it all the time under him. Similarly, his decision to choose Oscar as his number 10 was absolutely disastrous. We have no control in the middle of the park because he's just a very average player that can't control a game at all. That is a major reason why we play the way we do today. It's all well an good saying that we don't have ball playing defenders at the moment but when Jose had them in the squad he never utilised them properly at all. That's why Jose is a major reason why we're looking the way we are right now, and in fact, in most big games.
  18. I'm not just blaming Jose, but he sure has a huge part to play in it.
  19. It isn't only Mourinho's fault. What I can't agree with is people like yourself who seem to absolve Mourinho of blame completely. That's my main point.
  20. Jose was in charge of this team for 3 years. What you're seeing now is the fruit of his labour if you want to call it that. It'll take Hiddink a while to stamp his ideas onto the squad. He's barely even been here for a week yet.
