Of course Simeone is much better manager than Lampard. I never said one word about quality or compare them. I said if Lamps can not explain to this group of players what playing for Chelsea mean, Simeone who can't even speak English have even less chance because @OneMoSalahwas speaking about fighting and passion.
I support decision to drop Kepa for a couple of games so he can wake up but since Caballero conceded 8 goals in 4 games and it's clearly not an upgrade there is no point to continue with this.
We are just lowering Kepa's price in case we want to sell.
And rumour I read yesterday that we offered 30m plus Kepa for Oblak is bullshit.
First of all I don't think fighting and spirit is issue in our team.
And secondly, if club legend like Lampard can't make players (and we have so many English players and academy players who support Chelsea) give their all what makes you think someone like Simeone would be able to do it?
Not sure what people expect from him?
He made great pass against Spurs for first goal. Last night also for Mount chance. 3-4-3 is not his system. Stats show he's our best defensive player with interceptions etc...
He has his flaws of course but if he plays for City or Barca he would be very praised player.
Kane, Rashford injured. Vardy retired. I have no idea what should England do for the Euro. Ings or false 9? Maybe Calvert Lewin? Bambi on ice is not ready and never will be.
I agree with everything you said about Mount.
And yes his numbers haven't been that great. At least not for our standard.
Last season with Derby 8 goals and 5 assists in Championship.
Gallagher already on 6 goals and 8 assists in less minutes.
Mount started season very well and played good last two games but he has just one goal in the last 26 games for Chelsea! Also 4 assists this season all came after set pieces (Leicester twice for Rudiger, Jorginho's goal against Arsenal after Leno mistake and short corner against Burnley for Pulisic header). Not one assist from open play.
Let's see how he plays in the next couple of months.
