Not a good performance. Starting lineup, well I do not have many issues like many. After two clean sheets against Liverpool and Everton I did not expect any changes in the back 4. Chris for Zouma was probably Frank thinking we will have possession so Chris is better in this. But overall Chris is shit and whoever we pick for back 4 we will suffer because we do not have good defenders. People who even mentioned Kepa for that goal can fuck off, Azpi, Chris, Mount all had terrible reaction. Were people really thinking Gilmour is going to be starter all the time? And btw, for almost every lineup I saw people posting for next season we play 4-2-3-1 with Kante-Kovacic and RLC/Mount so there you go. Giroud deserved to start after many good games before Covid and he still keeps his place for me. Mount/RLC on the wing was my biggest issue? What was Frank thinking? They should never play there! Was looking at some highlights of this season and I am 100% sure Emerson is better defensively that Alonso is a myth. There are tons of goals we conceded this season where Emerson should do much better. All 3 Arsenal goals, Bournemouth home etc... Alonso biggest mistake was penalty in not important Carabao cup game against Utd and not even sure that was a penalty. Not to mention how better Alonso is offensively and in the air. Winning percentage is also dramatically better with Alonso in the team.

I also hope they win EL.

Prime Iva was top5 RB in the world. I think there was a moment when he was the best after Dani Alves and Maicon. Best two seasons from Azpi came when he was LB (Mourinho title season) and when he was RCB for Conte winning season. As RB he was solid at best. Talking about trophies yes CL is a big difference. Iva was major part of that team at highest level. Goal against Napoli, heroic defending against Barca... Winning goal in EL final was also big. This is why he is a leader! There is a reason why we did not do shit in the CL since Azpi is our leader. Also number of trophies is important and Bane have more. Not to mention individually... You are speaking only about this season. You seem to completely ignore last season when he was after Eden and with RLC our top3 player. Would we win EL without his penalty saves against Frankfurt? No. Even this season you mentioned Valencia game where again he saved us with a penalty save. He was dropped in January and he was our MOTM on January 1st against Brighton and kept clean sheet 10 days later against Burnley. He did not had any howlers like DDG many times just situations where he should do better. With better defense he would not be a issue. Also, he breakup long relationship I think in autumn and this definitely had impact. Kante, Rudiger also dropped in quality a lot this season. Arsenal away? Header from 3m? How can you blame him for that? Many situations you mentioned there are players more responsible for goals than him. Basically worst his mistake is Newcastle away and that is nothing like WOW WHAT A MISTAKE, just something like oh, he should do better but happens... And if we had just solid attack we would finish that game earlier. Bournemouth home? Really? If that is one of his biggest mistake we have no problem. Azpi, Emerson and Zouma are all more responsible for that goal. Everton away again horrid back 4! How can he feel confident with Zouma and Emerson in front of him? He was great against Liverpool and Everton lately after being dropped so this is a positive sign. We need better backup tho to push him and that is it!

I hope Liverpool do not sell any on them. They are all 28+ years old... Let them stay and block their chance to rebuild with younger players.

Schmeichel, Chilwell, Soyuncu, Pereira, Vardy would make starting 11 for us easily. Ndidi and Maddison would be in discussion too. So, we do not have far superior squad. At least not starting 11.

Hahaha how did I disrespect Azpi? Look bro in terms of accomplishments or quality he is nowhere near Ivanovic and not sure even Bane is a legend. But Iva was at least leader. So no, Azpi is not a leader and not a legend. Just solid squad player like Paulo Ferreira or Alonso.

It is not. Liverpool have American owners and they operate like this. If they did not sell Torres then would never get Suarez. If they did not sell Coutinho they would never get VVD and even Alisson. You underestimate Covid influence. We are in different situation unlike all the others. Liverpool wanted Werner for discount. Utd, City also had interest. Bayern before. Real spent 60m on Jovic last summer. Zidane still rates Benzema a lot it does not make sense to go for another striker. Same for Barcelona.
