No chance he renew with this status in the club. Try swap for Ginter or sell him somewhere else and buy proper CB. With Abraham and Giroud performing very well I think Werner will continue to play more as a LW. With Pulisic back to his last season form hopefully, it will be again a problem for CHO. I think he is also much better as LW. So with moving from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3 we kind of lack depth in number 8 position because Kante, Jorginho and Gilmour are all only for deeper role. I know Kante played there but is it worth it? So I am thinking Ziyech can move to number 8 sometimes, he can definitely play that role and open RW spot for CHO/Pulisic.

In terms of squads I would give us 60-65% in this game but with Mourinho factor it is 50-50% really. Their midfield is really physical, do we have a answer for that?

About players not mentioned... Chilwell had his worst game so far for us. Azpi clearly lost his place rightly so. James is better. Kova is so undefined player, all players from the bench were good and all should start against Spurs. And no love for CHO? 3 goals this season already and had just 3 starts in CL and PL.

Funny thing is that if you take away Southampton game all Werner goals and assists would not mean that much because we would still win all these games. He scored a lot of penalties and goals when it was game over. We need him to perform at highest level when it is needed! Not hating or anything I think he will come great for us. But Giroud should play more and even start games because he is the reason we play CL. His goals in February-July gave us so many points.
