  1. I think Spurs got in after some others rejected. This was first plan:
  2. On Forbes list of top50 most valuable sports teams you have just 7 football clubs. Real 6th Barca 8th United 10th Bayern 24th City 34th Chelsea 37th Arsenal 47th Something is clearly wrong here because football is by far most popular sport in the world. I think for clubs money is most important so this Americanization of football should put them on top. They want to do this because UEFA was not able to do it. We dont care about this but our board must ask why teams in American football from small American cities with less than 1m population are worth more than global brand like our club. Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens... Even same baseball teams we never heard of are worth more... Yankees are kings of marketing and making money. Football is watching 4 billion people in the world and how much people watch baseball and NFL? Outside of USA not popular sports at all. Yet they make more money.
  3. Teams like Leicester have been better than Arsenal last couple of years. I am afraid this will not be the case anymore.
  4. This is how cartel bosses run their business. Taken from James Corbett on twitter, who claims to have seen a copy of the "Super League Document". The plan would guarantee massive income to a 15 club elite and cement financial gaps not only between those competing in the Super league and those not, but within it. The plan envisages one off payments of up to €350 million to the fifteen founder members, but only six clubs would receive the full amount with five of the initial members receiving just €100 or €112.5 million. The 15 breakaway clubs have generously deigned to allow 5 merit based qualifiers each season. But the system is totally skewed against them. They have no say in running the Super League and are entirely excluded from a commercial pot worth 15% of income. Moreover, there is an 'equal' share of revenue that is not equal at all. The qualifiers are excluded from half of this pot of money (worth around €1.85 BILLION) At the same time, the organisers have shown their contempt for rewarding sporting success. You get given a ton of money for playing (about €180m for the group stage), but prize money is quite small - worth perhaps €30m extra for winning it. Which is small change, really. If you win the Champions League, by contrast, you earn about €120million - or 300% more than just making the group stage At the same time, if, say Leicester or Everton, were to qualify and actually win it - despite everything being skewed against them - they would earn around half the amount Barca or Real would be guaranteed JUST FOR COMPETING IN THE GROUP STAGE. Essentially this has been devised by a cabal of greedy, stupid and desperate individuals who care nothing about football, competitiveness or the sustainability of the game. It will kill domestic football and create a boring spectacle skewed in favour of a Super League 'big 6
  5. lol 76% of City fans voted on poll they will not attend games anymore.... We have this proverb in my country, it goes something like this... Whore about honesty...
  6. I am sure players have been aware of this for a while so this should not influence them on the pitch.
  7. I guess narrative he wants to play CL next season means now he wants to play Super League...
  8. Looks like SuperLeague will have 20 teams. These 15 plus 5 through some kind of qualifications.
  9. So what are our plans for transfer window? 🤣 Now we have the problem that many more clubs can pay big money like Milan, Inter, Spurs, Arsenal, Atletico which they could not before. But also I heard there will be salary cap in Super League.
  10. I expect top6 to stay in PL but it is not going to be the same. If you are not in the title race and we saw that can happen after just 2 months of the season, games will lose value. No fighting for top4, top6 etc... All eyes will be on Super League.
  11. Yes, eventually this will become normal. People in general dont respond well to changes. Even if it something small like Facebook changing design. Roman can now build that stadium without using his own money.
  12. If you ask why this is all you need to know. And this is without TV revenue, tickets, sponsors...
  13. UEFA need to be smart here if they want to stay relevant. They can have 2nd big European competition with all the other European clubs. That would mean so much more for all the clubs across Europe. And work together with SL. For example finalist can play in SL.
  14. He was very pragmatic in PSG as well. Playing 4-3-3 with basically 3 DMs.
  15. With this I agree. Eventually football will become like American sport. Less emotional. People will go to games to eat sausage, drink beer and basically just look at games like fun... It will kill the emotional part of the game sadly.
  16. Dont worry guys Florentino will help football... 🤣
  17. Tons of games against top teams. For example this season we played Atletico x2, will play Real x2 and final maybe. This is 4 or 5 games against top clubs. No more Krasnodar, Rennes...
