I thought it would be a good idea to keep one experienced midfielder. Jorginho left and if we let both Kante and Kovacic go we would not have any left. Mount is also leaving, possibly Gallagher as well. That leaves us with: Enzo 22 Casadei 20 Santos 19 CC 19 (don't think he can play in pivot anyway) And new MF will also be young Lavia, Ugarte, Caicedo... I don't have a problem with one of them being in pivot starting with Enzo regardless age but are we really gonna have only these kids on the bench when realistically all should probably go on another loan? With only PL and Poch playing 4231 having 4 midfielders is ok. But it should be Enzo, new MF, Kante/Kovacic and one youngster. So if we cannot extend Kante just keep Kovacic even if that means losing him for free next summer.

Our defense was at least right there with Newcastle and City best in the league before Lampard arrival. Now you have 5 more teams who conceded less than us. We are 18th since his arrival. And he left Everton 20th place. With a couple more weeks with him both teams would be relegated. Even in his first term he was defensively worst Chelsea manager in 30 years. He never knew how to setup defense. And it's not his first time to concede 4 with Chelsea at OT.

I'm happy that combo won't be in Chelsea together. In fact, that was my biggest fear going forward. Also Odegaard I think we all agree is vastly superior player to Mount so can't see him starting there.

I didn't watch any Chelsea games last month or two. Lampard still with no clean sheet in 9 games. Won't have in next 2 either. Bruno had one in his only game here and even Potter in 2 of last 5 games.
