If you want to restore political will you need to restore accountability and trust. This is the misconception. The only argument we see for that is because Palestine was never independent nation, even though both Roman scripture and biblical text recognise it as Palestine. (Canaan/Philistines). It is also ignoring the fact Palestine was under Ottoman Empire rule but started forming the idea of independence as far back as 1911.
