With wingers back it just makes Havertz redundant. Mount has eclipsed him when we all expected Havertz to hit the ground running. They can't even play together anymore considering Havertz looks bloody clueless with the ball.

If Werner would work well with any player up top it would be Tammy given his mobility.

The issue is that we have a manager who is relying on individual talent to see him through when he has an abundance of talent in the team. I want Tammy back in the starting XI. All of the fluidity vanished the moment Giroud came back.

Aye, you can see the mental strength along with the quality they have as a whole. The same mentality you saw in the Chelsea 04-07 team, United 06-09, and City 17-19. They belong with those sides.

I'd fancy Kai at LW in a 343. Just get him closer to the striker and narrower. Get him comfortable to gain some confidence. That said, I'd start him on the bench here.

A big reason we finished 30 points behind was because of the naivety in not only the squad, but the manager. To suggest we can make up those 30 points in the space of a season, one that's congested as this and no preseason, is unrealistic. We saw last night the same naivety we saw all last season. It is still there and can't go away over night. You are asking quite a lot if you expect a title challenge. Lampard's task was to comfortably finish in the Top 4. He doesn't do that, we won't challenge next season and I would actually lose my faith in him to carry us forward.
