If Werner would work well with any player up top it would be Tammy given his mobility.

The issue is that we have a manager who is relying on individual talent to see him through when he has an abundance of talent in the team. I want Tammy back in the starting XI. All of the fluidity vanished the moment Giroud came back.

I'd fancy Kai at LW in a 343. Just get him closer to the striker and narrower. Get him comfortable to gain some confidence. That said, I'd start him on the bench here.

A big reason we finished 30 points behind was because of the naivety in not only the squad, but the manager. To suggest we can make up those 30 points in the space of a season, one that's congested as this and no preseason, is unrealistic. We saw last night the same naivety we saw all last season. It is still there and can't go away over night. You are asking quite a lot if you expect a title challenge. Lampard's task was to comfortably finish in the Top 4. He doesn't do that, we won't challenge next season and I would actually lose my faith in him to carry us forward.

Finishing Top 4 was the bare minimum. Forget Spurs. Lampard's season will be based on that and whether or not we see actual progression.
