  1. It screams as if Tuchel doesn't know what he's doing and is suffering from the must not lose bug that ate Conte alive.
  2. Just to add on to this. Nail on head @ 4:17 "I find it embarrassing that one of the most expensive assembled teams, who are in dire need of a win, go up to a main rival and play and offer up a performance that's akin to Burnley and Everton, who actually had better stats when they went to the Ethiad than Chelsea did today."
  3. It becomes incredibly easy to dislike this team when they approach big games like that. Twice now on the bounce against City when beat them convincingly in the bloody European Cup.
  4. Whilst 4th in the league 19 points behind the champions.
  5. 2017 onwards. You dont spend as much as we do and be considered a ‘cup’ team.
  6. Which goes back to something you and I both agree on in that the system is prmarily responsible. For it too be successful, it needs to have conservative CMs. Creativity goes out the window. We need to switch to a back 4 next season and having Gallagher + Tchoumeni will help loads.
  7. Broja at the very least looks good in the Premier League. There is always the risk of buying STs from Italy or Germany. Other than Haaland, there really is no stand out ST atm.
  8. Vlahovic still too early. Should seriously just do Havertz & Broja and see how they fair.
  9. ESPN making a whole segment on how our players around Lukaku aren't performing well to supply him and yet the notion of Lukaku not being able to control a ball today completely avoided. Convinced these aren't football people.
  10. Peak Lampard and Gerrard would have their way with Kepa.
  11. Maybe I'm over reacting. Going to calm down a bit.
  12. I think getting drawn into another Top 4 battle, or worse even missing out, begs for some uncomfortable questions and a Tuchel assessment is well and truly warranted. I said last June after our CL win that the jury is still out on Tuchel for me. Cup manager vibes.
  13. Can't believe he is 26 and the highlight of his career was his goal against Arsenal for the U23's.
  14. We still have a donkey leading the line.
  15. That's the thing. If we want to finish above City we need to operate like them in the market. Identifying targets that meet that manager's profile vs buying for the sake of buying. You, me, my nan and my dog knew Lukaku didn't meet Tuchel's profile. This is primarily the reason why we have stagnated for years whereas City have endured sustainable success.
  16. In 24 hours we could potentially be only 3 points ahead of West Ham. If Arsenal will their two games in hand, we will be only 2 points ahead of them. Matter of fact, if Spurs somehow win their 4 games in hand, they will be ahead of us by 2 points. Lot of hypotheticals but if we end the season with another battle for Top 4, where do we assess Tuchel in all of this considering there has been zero improvement and another chunk of money invested?
  17. His positioning in general against long attempts, has and will always be below average.
  18. But I was told Lampard was the reason Kepa couldn't save long shots?
  19. These wide attacking players are hard to come by when you consider the PL proven remark is well and truly returning.
  20. He has to be a part of the squad in the final to actually win the trophy, hence why Ballack didn't win one in 2007 or Rio during his entire United career. Strange rule but Lukaku was hardly influential during that run.
  21. We give shit to Pulisic but Havertz deserves criticism as well. Has one good game and then either is inconsistent the next or gets injured.
  22. God hope PSG or Aletico do us a solid.
  23. Any goal or trophy we plan on achieving will always be heavily risked with Lukaku playing. We going to rely on own goals and set pieces to win us trophies? Is that what this club has become to now and do you believe that to be long term sustainable?
