2 goals in 17 games: Chelsea could be at risk of being conned out of £100m Surely Chelsea can do better than Evan Ferguson https://www.caughtoffside.com/2024/11/24/evan-ferguson-transfer-Chelsea/ Chelsea reportedly still have a firm interest in the potential transfer of Brighton striker Evan Ferguson, despite his worrying drop-off in form. The talented young Republic of Ireland international looked like a huge prospect just over a year ago, but he’s really struggled in front of goal in recent times, finding the back of the net just twice in his last 17 games in all competitions for club and country. Still, it seems that not only are Chelsea still interested in Ferguson, but that Brighton would also still ask for as much as £100million for him, according to a report from TEAMtalk. Ferguson is not the only name on Chelsea’s radar as they look for signings up front, with Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap also mentioned by TEAMtalk. Still, the long-standing interest in Ferguson is surprising, and the Blues surely need to be very careful about forking out huge money for the 20-year-old after his total loss of form. If Ferguson gets back to his best soon, then perhaps he would be someone worth looking at, but it’s debatable if he’s ever looked like someone who should be being talked about as a £100m player. For that kind of money, Chelsea could surely land proven elite players to come in and give them an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson, who has improved a lot this season but for whom there are perhaps still a few question-marks. TEAMtalk’s report also mentions Victor Osimhen, and that’s surely the calibre of player you’d expect to be getting if you spend anywhere close to £100m, while CFC fans will also surely have their own ideas about potential targets. Other big names like Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak are both exciting attacking talents who could strengthen this Chelsea side, but the club’s apparent fascination with Ferguson shows a worrying lack of judgement.

Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing NEW club in contact over Victor Osimhen transfer but Chelsea are still there... EXCLUSIVE update on Victor Osimhen's situation as he's NOT staying at Galatasaray... https://thedailybriefing.io/p/new-club-in-contact-over-victor-osimhen Chelsea are still interested in signing Victor Osimhen, who is almost certainly NOT going to be staying at Galatasaray… However, Juventus are now understood to have made contact over a potential deal as they also look to prise the Nigerian striker away from parent club Napoli. Sources with a close understanding of the situation have informed the Daily Briefing that Juve are keen on Osimhen as one of a number of potential options in attack amid some doubts over Dusan Vlahovic’s future. Juventus are also exploring Joshua Zirkzee as an option in that position, but Osimhen would be another tempting candidate to strengthen Thiago Motta’s front line. Victor Osimhen transfer could now be more realistic for Chelsea Osimhen remains a target for Chelsea as well, however, and the Daily Briefing understands that the 25-year-old now looks like a more realistic and affordable target for the Blues than he did in the summer. Chelsea were not too far away from signing Osimhen on that occasion, but a deal couldn’t quite be finalised, and he ended up leaving Napoli for a surprise loan to Galatasaray instead. Now, however, sources have indicated that a fee closer to €75m could be enough to persuade Napoli to sell their star striker - a deal that would likely be seen as a bargain by many top clubs. Osimhen has continued to shine in his time in Turkey, but his stay there is not expected to be a long one, so it seems Chelsea and Juventus could be two names to watch in the race for his signature in the weeks and months ahead. Chelsea also have a long-standing interest in two young Premier League-based talents in the form of Evan Ferguson and Liam Delap.

NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! Robert Sanchez had 34 touches, completed just 63% of his passes, 19 out of 30 to be specific, and completed just two from 13 long balls. He prevented -0.2 goals and could have done better from Ayew’s penalty, he failed to keep it out despite getting a firm hand to it. Absolutely diabolical that we do not have a world class GKer despite dropping £189m. WTF!!!

Félix won most duels (9) and completed most dribbles (4) in the game yesterday, which is actually amazing. To win 9 duels as an attacking midfielder really is quite something. But also having the most amount of dribbles shows that he was doing his attacking role well as well as the defensive side of the game. https://Chelsea.news/2024/11/unexpected-Chelsea-player-wins-most-duels-vs-leicester-to-prove-a-point-to-critics/

If Neymar had not had the mumps in summer 2015, causing him to miss Barca's 2015 UEFA Super Cup win he would be the first player to win every major club international continental trophy on TWO continents plus the World Club Championship he won (in South America with Santos): Copa Libertadores: 2011 Recopa Sudamericana: 2012 and in Europe he won (with Barca): UEFA Champions League: 2014–15 plus he won the FIFA World Club Cup in 2015 with Barca that 2015 UEFA Super Cup game he missed was insane best one ever
