  3. https://football-observatory.com/WeeklyPost482 The 482nd CIES Football Observatory Weekly Post presents the 100 players under the age of 20 (as of 27 November) with the most playing experience* in 2024, while having played fewer than 900 official game minutes at senior level in the previous year. Despite being just 17.8 years old, Barcelona's centre back Pau Cubarsí tops the list with a score of 91.5 out of 100. England's Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United) and Argentina's Julio Soler (CA Lanús) complete the young revelations’ podium. They are ahead of Brazilian Estêvão Willian (Palmeiras, owned by Chelsea) and Turkey's Semih Kiliçsoy (Beşiktaş JK). Belgium’s Konstantinos Karetsas (KRC Genk) is the youngest player listed, ahead of Ayyoub Bouaddi (LOSC Lille), Gabriel Carvalho (SC Internacional), Franco Mastantuono (River Plate) and Chris Rigg (Sunderland AFC). No fewer than 38 leagues are represented in the top 100, with a maximum of 11 players from the Brazilian Serie A, followed by eight in the Argentinian top flight. The highest experience value of any player under the age of 20 was recorded for Lamine Yamal (93.8 out of 100). However, the Spanish prodigy was already an established professional in 2023. * Projected on a basis of 100, the experience score takes into account the minutes played in official matches at senior level in 2024, weighted by the sporting level of the games and the results. More information on the exclusive CIES Football Observatory methodology is available in this note. Highest playing experience* in 2024 Footballers born after 27/11/2004 having played fewer than 900 official game minutes at senior level
  4. EXCL: Man United and Chelsea set for BATTLE over Premier League star that could have major impact on Blues ace's future We look to be heading for a complicated January saga involving Man United and Chelsea... https://thedailybriefing.io/p/excl-man-united-and-Chelsea-set-for Manchester United and Chelsea are both in the market for left-backs at the moment, and their January transfer plans could end up being interlinked. Sources with a close understanding of the situation have informed the Daily Briefing that Chelsea are ready to let Ben Chilwell leave the club this winter after he was also made available in the summer after falling out of favour with Enzo Maresca. Man United are understood to be interested in Chilwell as one of a number of options at left-back, but there are two other names on their list as well. The Red Devils are also keen on Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, and it has emerged that he is also someone greatly appreciated by Chelsea as they look to possibly replace the departing Chilwell. United have also been monitoring the situation of their former player Alvaro Carreras, who has improved a great deal since leaving Old Trafford and moving to Benfica. Carreras has a buy-back clause in his contract at Benfica, so that could be an option United look at, though they are yet to decide on a priority for that area of the pitch. New manager Ruben Amorim, however, is keen to bring in an upgrade on Luke Shaw, while Tyrell Malacia is another concern after such a lengthy injury. Rayan Ait-Nouri of Wolves (Photo by Naomi Baker/Getty Images) Ait-Nouri has long been on the radar of top Premier League clubs, with Liverpool also previously linked, though it now looks like United and Chelsea would be his main suitors this January. Wolves’ position is that they don’t want to sell the Algeria international, but it could be that big money would force them to reconsider that stance.
