  1. I think the opposite. He would have a far smaller profile if he was from (like I said) his Croatian ancestral homeland (or Spain, etc etc) and had no ties to the USA.
  2. Injects pace??? Willian slows the damn game down to a snails pace with his fumbling bumbling passes and tricksy leg whips-overs. He is a human rain delay
  3. Multiple points A personal one for me, I really do not push any players from Brasil or Argentina (other than Icardi, and he is an Italian citizen now too) that often. Spain even not so much. The only Brasilians I have really mentioned as options (out of well over 100, 125 players) I rate (and are even remotely available, and some on this list are not now) are Alex Telles (most assume he is Portuguese) Éder Militão (recent option at CB) Alex Sandro (off the board now for good) Malcom Vinícius Júnior (Real will not sell him, almost zero chance atm) Talisca (off the table for now) David Neres Marquinhos (pipe dream) Wendell Matheus Cunha thats only 10 in world football atm Argentina is even less Icardi Dybala Giovani Lo Celso (off the table unfornately, he will sign perm with Real Betis) Leandro Paredes Lautaro Martínez (and barely atm, he needs to prove himself) Giovanni Simeone (far down my striker list) Rodrigo de Paul (really underrated LW, but hardly a must have for me) Exequiel Palacios (real Madrid soon buy him from River Plate) that's it between both countries I have pushed hard for less than 10 total I think my track record of having a go at Willian, Morata, Alonso and Luiz pretty much makes that self-evident, along with many scouting recco's. (Vast majority are Italians, Germans, French) The USA factor for me is that IF he was simply from Croatia and not born and raised in the USA, then the hype on him would be massively less. Now, his revenue generation will more than cover the price difference in what would be a ordinary £25m to £40m or so deal if he was straight from Eastern Europe. I just hope that he comes good ON THE PITCH.
  4. In my mega transfer sell post, you could swap out Sarabia for Fekir and not fuck up the net spend much, so all down with that (as long as our physios examine the HELL out his knees)
  5. No, as long as we make other moves. If we do what I posted above Including the Hirving Lozano move (that means dumping Willian) our revenues from USA and Mexico would be insane and our wingers would be Pulisic Lozano Thorgan CHO Pedro I can live with that completely as the big boy (Icardi) is between them
  6. In a perfect world we get a straight £125m for Eden from Real (I am dreaming I know) let Kovacic go back And buy CF Icardi (release clause is still £98m next year unless he renews) AMF Pablo Sarabia £50m CMF Nicolò Barella £45m LW Thorgan Hazard £45m DH DMF Sandro Tonali £20m CB Alessio Romagnoli £55m or Éder Militão £45m LB Chilwell or Junior Firpo £45m or Alex Telles £45m total around £350-360m plus this £60m spent on Puli £410-20m total gross sell £125m for Eden Cesc £10m Bakayoko ,£30m Moses £17m Zappacosta £18m Morata £45m Bats £35m Alonso £45m Drinkwater £20m (buying club gets discount due to wages) Barkley £25m (Sarri just said, supposedly he is free to look around) Baba Rahman £10m Kenedy £20m net generated £400m so almost break even and I didnt even sell Willian! As we need the depth as Pedro is too injury prone KEEP CHO FFS VASTLY better squad, even after losing Eden IF we did sell Willian replace with Hirving Lozano (we would then have the best USA and the best Mexican player on the planet, HUGE revenue streams)
  7. Less than zero chance Barca will sell Dembele, unless some splashes £150m plus (not joking, they paid around £140m when add-ons are counted in) for him, and Messi said he is the future of the club.
  8. I can totally live with that, but Eden seems hellbent on leaving atm. The striker needs to be Icardi or Dybala Preferably Icardi, although many would take Dybala instead.
  9. I just meant that if you and I had a quid for every 'is monitoring' article that never came true, we both could buy matching Koenigsegg CCXR Trevitas (almost 5m usd a pop new, now 10m plus)
  10. I so so hope so. I am not a Pulisic hater at all, far from it, I just think there were better options at that level of cash (and I am not happy about him staying until summer at BVD), but it is not a terrible signing, as long as we dont fuck up the rest of the next two windows.
  11. Dealing with Pulisic as a winger (I already know you made a simple error on the CF thing, that's all good) No, he doesn't know where the back of the net is really 115 games at top level 15 goals total (the chart below is not updated for his last game) and that is on a crazy high scoring pinball offensive team. Never more than 5 in one season. Only 10 league goals in career, in 80 games
  12. You assume Willian is leaving. I think only move Willian does is from RW to LW to replace Eden after he leaves this summer. Let us all hope I am dead wrong on it all.
  13. It gets better! LOL Dortmund, though they get to 'loan' him back from us for the rest of the year, DONT EVEN HAVE TO PAY A LOAN FEE, roflmaooooooooo https://www.bvb.de/News/Uebersicht/Pulisic-wechselt-im-Sommer-zum-FC-Chelsea Borussia Dortmund hat sich mit dem englischen Premier-League-Klub FC Chelsea auf einen Transfer des Dortmunder Offensivakteurs Christian Pulisic mit sofortiger Wirkung geeinigt. A rental fee for the coming half year is not due for BVB.
  14. Willian is going nowhere I wager. Knowing the board Our front 3 next year will end up being LW Willian RW Pulisic CF Morata or Callum Wilson or Arnautovic (unless we take Eden and CHO sale money and buy Icardi, which pretty much HAS to happen)
  15. Ffs, we split the difference evenly between their insane £70m valuation and our £45m offer and DON'T EVEN get him now! Our board are idiots! Only thing they see is yank dollars in marketing value.
  16. Where did I declare doomsday? I do think we will loose CHO. Just hope we get a buyback clause. That is as close to doomsday as I got. A lot of that IS on Sarri. With Hazard as a false nine, it is outrageous CHO doesn't get some starts at his true LW position. And many of those 30 something's will be gone next year, Cesc, Luiz, Cahill for sure, hopefully Giroud and REALLY hopefully Willian. We simply cannot replace them with more 30 somethings.
  17. Report: Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers target Tammy Abraham valued at £20m https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/01/02/report-aston-villa-and-wolverhampton-wanderers-target-tammy-abra/ According to the Telegraph, Aston Villa or Wolverhampton Wanderers will have to pay £20 million to sign Tammy Abraham. (Matt Law) Abraham is currently on loan at Villa, and he has impressed enough for Dean Smith’s side to attract the attention of Wolves. Nuno’s men are said to be hoping to bring Abraham to Molineux, which would end his loan spell at Villa early. But Wolves would have to pay big money to sign the striker from Chelsea, who is valued highly. Although Maurizio Sarri has no plans to use Abraham, Chelsea would still want big money for the England international. snip
  18. Wish I was. Hopefully this is all invented tosh. Chelsea transfer news: West Ham to receive mega Marko Arnautovic bid for THIS reason CHELSEA will bid for West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic in the January transfer window because they are not confident of sealing a deal for Gonzalo Higuain, according to reports. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1065718/Chelsea-transfer-news-West-Ham-Marko-Arnautovic-rumours-gossip
  19. Sarri played a totally veteran team at Napoli and he doesnt like to play youth. Last year the only under-24yo players who got any time in league games were Amadou Diawara (18 league games, 642 minutes or equivalent of just 7 full games) and Marko Rog, with his total minutes in Serie A at only 251 (equivalent of 2.75 full games) He played a 36yo RB, Christian Maggio over 1100 minutes in all comps, a 33yo Emanuele Giaccherini in five games in MF before selling him (he had over 1000 minutes total all season), and 30-somethings Hamsik, Albiol, Mertens and Callejon were all regular starters. He plays five 30yo's or older with us now, plus Azpi will be 30 in the summer. RLC and Christensen are the only sub 24yo's who get a sniff of League play (and AC hardly at all, ONE game) RLC has had only one EPL start and only 273 league minutes en toto. Leopards don't change spots
  20. If a team meets our £40m valuation, he is gone, maybe even a split between the £20m offered and our £40m, say £30 to £35m. I highly doubt at that price there will be a buy back clause (especially if it is Bayern as opposed to Borussia Dortmund), or if there is one inserted, it will be insanely high, say £80m or up. Finally, I can but take so much more of these articles that keep saying that CHO and Pulisic will be competing against each other for time when it is clear that CHO is by far more effective on the LW, and Pulisic has always played the vast majority of his career at RW. This year Pulisic has played 18 games so far, 1024 minutes. ONE MINUTE at LW, when he was an 89th minute sub at Werder Bremen on December 15th. He has one league goal, 3 in total, with other 2 coming against Brugge in the CL and then 2nd division Union Berlin (and that was in 120 minutes played) In the last 3 years he has played 12 games at LW, most of it in 2017, when Dortmund had injuries and he had a run there for a bit. As a 17yo he also had a run, almost always as a sub, at LW, but since then has (other than that injury forced stretch last season in November and December 2017) been a RW'er.
  21. Chelsea wins come first? Roflmaoooo So why are Alonso and Willian trotted out on the field almost every bloody game? I don't buy that for a minute.
