  1. dont often disagree, but truly do on this AC is streets ahead of Zouma for me, he has matured nicely and I have seen relatively few errors over the last 6, 7 months Zouma is a trainwreck atm hope he buckles it up and comes good quickly
  2. Pulisic is a starter for the US team, and the best American footballer on the planet. Pedro has 64 caps for Spain. Both our GK'ers are starters, at least part-time, for their national teams. RLC, Mount and CHO both play and/or have started for England. Omeruo and Baba and Moses and other loan army members start for their national teams. Hell, Zouma has even started a game for France and had 5 National team trophies. Bats starts for Belgium. Even Tammy has twice been called up for England. Zappa and Emerson for Italy, etc. Hell, Bakayoko has played for France, lolol. The only 3 players on the 25 main roster who have no international senior call ups are Cumming, Reece (soon to change), and Kenedy (he would be a starter for over 100 nations.)
  3. lets hope this lineup sees the light of day in 90 to 120 days or so for all our sakes
  4. At least we already know that Victimpool cannot complete the complete the world's first same season Septuple (Sextuple for non EPL teams as they have no 2nd League Cup). (it is so hard to even have the shot, as you HAVE to win the CL the year before (to get into the FWCC) and also qualify for the Community Shield from the year before to even have a shot at it, so I wonder if Klopp was so so pissed after losing in pens to Shitty in the CS) Jesus fucking christ if they had pulled that off, football would never have heard the end of that Community Shield (Lost) UEFA Super Cup FIFA World Club Cup League Cup EPL Trophy FA Cup Champions League The 2008-9 and 2009-10 Barca teams did win the only Sextuple ever (there is no League Cup in Spain, only the Copa del Rey, so only 6 trophies possible) but it was in a calendar year, not the exact same squad. In 2009 they won (in order) 2008-9 Copa del Rey, 2008-9 La Liga title, 2008-9 CL, then in summer/fall 2009 they won the 2009 Super Copa de Espana (the Spanish version of our CS) then the 2009 UEFA Super Cup and in December, the 2009 FIFA World Club Championship. The rest of the 2009-10 season they won La Liga, but got upset in the round of 16 in the the Copa del Rey (by Sevilla, who won it) and got knocked out of the CL in the semis by Mo's Inter Milan, who also won it. They just missed out on doing another calendar year Sextuple in 2011, when they lost to Real in the Copa del Rey final 1 nil in extra time via a 103rd minute CR7 goal. To show hard hard it is to do a SAME SEASON Sextuple (for EPL teams a Septuple) even that 2010-11 Barca team could not have done it as that 2010 CL semi final loss meant no Super Cup or FWCC in the fall of 2010. To do same season, you HAVE to win back to back Champions Leagues AND qualify for the league kick off cup from the year before's results. 2016-17 Real Madrid missed out doing a same calendar year Sextuple (2017) when they failed to win the 2016-17 Copa del Rey. (Celta Vigo knocked them out in a MASSIVE upset in the quarterfinals), and again even they could not done it all in same season, as they did not qualify for the 2016 Super Copa de Espana from the year before (even though they did the hard part and won the 2016 UEFA Super Cup and the 2016 FWCC.. Real's 5 in a row European Cup (now the CL) winners back from 1956-1960 never won the Copa del Rey ONCE in the whole span. It is insanely hard to do a calendar year one, let alone a same season one. I doubt we ever see a same season one unless it is next seasons Shitty (or then next couple of years Shitty) or Barca (Messi is ageing so they are truly under the cosh time wise) One of them has to win the CL this season to set it all up, plus they have to qualify for CS/Super Copa in summer 2020) Liverpool is not deep enough to keep having superb CL shots and they have never won an EPL title. Also, it is sorta lame to not have a League Cup, so it can only truly be done by an EPL team (the full Septuple, although hats off to even a same season Sextuple from another league)
  5. He went for his first pool run 3 weeks ago, it would be a miracle if he was back before November/December or so. They first said he was possibly out 12 months, and that was in May, but that has been revised.
  6. he is so so nice a guy, and I do NOT hate him at all (like I do that mug Alonso and especially the ultra twatish Cuntois) but he (so tragically) looks to be ruint by that injury (2nd of August 2015, so over 4 years ago now) on a perm basis, plus he never was all that great on the ball anyway. He is perfect for mid level, hit and hope, park the bus brutal EPL style of a Burnley, Bournemouth, Palace, West Ham, even the Everton of the past 5, 10 years (they are trying to change that which is why it is puzzling they so desperately want him back), but simply is not up to par for a progressive, world class team (or one striving to reach that spot) He would never see the light of day on a Pep or Klopp or Poch or Simeone (he demands his CB's be GREAT on the ball) or Carlo Ancelotti team
  7. shit clubs do NOT count and there are almost none of the top 15, or 20 clubs who would have swapped the board of the last several years with theirs that is just simply false to claim, the only one who may be close is Manure, even AC Milan has righted their ship so many of the others do more with massively less assets than we potentially have we have made multiple and disastrous (both in terms of shitting away hundreds of millions in revenue and in overall player signings and non signings) moves over the past 5 plus years mismanaged contract situations, been forced into panic sales and buys after panic sales and buys, and also broken the laws of world football to a point where we got banned for 2 full transfer windows, as well as not backing 2 great managers right after they won titles (especially Conte) it is literally wilful ignorance and/or a crystalline form of pure denial to say we are competently run overall in the past several years, say 2014 (de Bruyne sale with no buyback kicked it all off for this timeframe) and onward The Conte hire was brilliant but then we undid that good work by not backing him
  8. the Luiz situ is bizarre, I do admit that surely he must have the self-confidence that he would be one of the first 3 CB's to play there is ZERO chance we can roll every single match with Rudiger (who isnt even playing atm) and AC if Luiz thought he was worse than Zouma, then he is just crazy (well he is partially crazy anyway, lolol) it was just such insanely poor timing it has truly left us hanging, UNLESS (and I am praying for this) Tomori comes good to such an extant that he does indeed (or would have) made Luiz redundant I have so not seen that Tomori yet we all best hope he arrives soon (and Rudiger gets healthy FAST) I do not see (and this is exactly like Alonso and Sarri) what Frank sees in Zouma at least with Alonso you had the excuse of big height (Zouma is big) and a great free kick taker (Zouma will probably never take a free kick in his Chels career), and Happy is only passed on the shit passer list by Donkeybaka
  9. I so doubt he is the type to toss a player under the bus in public after the first game of the year his only other CB option is Tomori, so if went all ratch on Happy, he would alienate 33% of his available centre backs
  10. has zero to do with Football Manager FM allusions are a sure tell for a weak argument
  11. There's a couple in here and a shit ton as always on all social media which is impossible to avoid. Just frustrating social media, especially Twitter, is a shithole I never pay attention to it, other than actual journo's posts
  12. I thought he was oki today, there were far worse performances out there
  13. as it stands atm, Marcin Bulka is the backup keeper for PSG, lolol they sold Trapp and let Buffon go
  14. big if, but IF we soon get Rudiger back, and he stays healthy same for Reece Kante stays healthy and same for CHO as Reece and Rudiger I absolutely think we can still finish 4th, as long as Arse's back 4 lets them down and Manure reverts to form of the past few years but I will so take 6th (we at least need to top the other 5 top 'lesser sides, Leicester, West Ham, Wolves, Watforn, and Everton) 8th or lower is trouble, big trouble, as no Europe revenue (although it will 90% likely NOT be Franks fault, he was dealt a shit hand)
  15. maybe I missed it but I have not seen any 'bash Lamps' posts
  16. fuck Juve, lololol I so hope Inter or Napoli or AC Milan pip them for the title Sarri will have a heart attack if it is Napoli

  18. I am not taking it out on the players or Lamps (other than Zouma, as I expect Azpi to rebound) so there is that
  19. I do not see how they possibly could have thought we would skate I read the documents (the public ones) we flat out broke the rules, brazenly we were so lucky to not be considered repeat offenders if I had done similar malfeasance in my financial world, I would be prison-bound, not just sacked and banned from trading for a year
  20. the teams we really need to focus on (in terms of point watching) atm are Wolves Everton Leicester West Ham Watford (they started off HORRIDLY, but should rebound) I get the feeling that it is going to be us and those 5 (unless somehow Burnley and/or Bournemouth also pop up) battling for 6th and 7th place (and thus the last 2 Europe places) as it stands we are in bloody 19th place, one goal off the bottom (West ham got slammed 5 nil)
  21. it is all on the board I have been banging that drum since I joined, and have laid it out in painstaking detail if little me knew the bans were coming (as evidenced by a shedload of my posts well before they officially got handed down) surely they must have known yet refused to act especially in January simply buying Ake (he is not my preferred CB for our lead but it was simple to do with our buyback clause AND is huge upgrade over Zouma, whose sale to Everton would have basically covered the ENTIRE cost) and Piatek (fuck Higs) and then lock down a deal with Lille for buy and loanback for Pepe for the last 6 months, which they (Lille) would have done for £45m to £55m at that time) AND he was practically begging to come here, look at the interviews, That would have SO helped us out this season all that would have only cost us around a net £60-70m or so (and actually less as we could have then sold Bats for £30m or so, so call it £30-40m or so) ffs it isnt rocket fucking science here so pissed off at the utter lack of future-forward football thinking
  22. perhaps Reece can come in at CB when he is fit he played a lot there for Wigan last year
  23. only ones I am going to fully slag are Zouma and Azpi Pedro had a stinker as well, IMHO (not for lack of effort) AC was decent too he just had so little help we were POOR with turnovers as well
