'At this point' - Frank Lampard makes Ben Chilwell admission amid reported Chelsea interest Leicester City transfer news | Chelsea can now add to their squad in the transfer window next month and Foxes defender Ben Chilwell remains a key target according to reports. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/at-point-frank-lampard-makes-3617671 Frank Lampard says he and his recruitment staff will see where his Chelsea squad are at the end of the month before making any major decisions ahead of the transfer window. The Stamford Bridge club were dealt a major boost to their transfer hopes on Friday morning with the news that they would be allowed to make signings during January. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has halved the Blues' two-window FIFA transfer ban and their financial sanction following an appeal by the west London club. It means Chelsea can now add to their squad in the transfer window next month and Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell remains a key target according to reports. But Lampard remains adamant that there will be no decisions made yet about who his side will and will not target during January. "I’m certainly not going to sit here today and go too far down any lines with that," said Lampard when asked if Chilwell, amongst others, would be targeted this January. "We’ll see where we are. I’m happy with the squad we have here. I think we’re doing OK. My job is always to focus on the next game and what’s in front of us. "In terms of the bigger picture and what we do going forward, of course that’s constant and it’s sometimes fluid, so there are no absolute answers at this point." snip

United's £100m transfer plan takes new urgency, Woodward won't be forgiven United face new threat for Jadon Sancho's signature https://www.unitedinfocus.com/news/united-face-new-threat-for-jadon-sanchos-signature/ Manchester United’s desire to sign Jadon Sancho faces a fresh threat from Chelsea. The Blues won their appeal against a transfer ban and can now sign players in January. Top of their list is Jadon Sancho, report Goal. They can certainly afford him. The Telegraph report Chelsea have a £150 million transfer budget in January. United are long term suitors of Sancho and everything had been progressing well in terms of the winger’s expected exit from Dortmund in 2020. The Mail reported last month Dortmund have accepted this will be Sancho’s final season in Germany and they are already looking to sign replacements. He has also clashed with management, recently being substituted early and then dropped for their last Champions League game against Barcelona, before coming off the bench to score. snip

I would say Bats is worth around £30-35m I think Bats plus £25m would be a fair price in January

it is amazing how few good LB's who are remotely available are out there shockingly low number Real Madrid are going to greatly re-invigorated when their 2 youngsters (RB and LB) come back from loan they will probably sell Álvaro Odriozola or maybe (reallllly doubtful) Daniel Carvajal Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Reguilón, Real Madrid ensures the future of its sides http://www.fichajes.com/liga/achraf-y-sergio-reguilon-el-real-madrid-asegura-el-futuro-de-sus-laterales_158801 -

Chelsea Football Club statement on appeal verdict Chelsea FC ON APPEAL VERDICT https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2019/12/06/chelsea-football-club-statement-on-appeal-verdict?cardIndex=0-07 Chelsea Football Club has today issued the following statement: Chelsea Football Club has today been notified by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) that its appeal has been successful. The transfer ban imposed on Chelsea has been reduced to one window, which has already been served, and Chelsea is therefore free to sign players in the January 2020 transfer window. Chelsea is grateful to the CAS for the diligent approach that it gave this matter. The club has not yet received the written reasons for CAS’s decision but wishes to make the following clear: 1. The approach taken by FIFA to this case has been deeply unsatisfactory, not least as FIFA chose to treat Chelsea entirely differently to Manchester City for reasons that make absolutely no sense to Chelsea. 2. FIFA accused Chelsea of having breached Article 19 of the FIFA regulations in relation to 27 players, covering the period from 2009 onwards. Of those, 16 players were registered by Chelsea in exactly the same way as other Premier League clubs registered players at the time. Furthermore, Chelsea sought clarification from the Premier League in 2009 about whether it needed to apply for permission to register players in this category. The FA subsequently liaised with FIFA and it was confirmed to Chelsea that players in this category were entitled to register and that no special application was required (and in fact no special application process existed). Accordingly, the fact that FIFA brought charges against Chelsea for this category of player was perverse. We are grateful that this appears to have been corrected by the CAS. 3. In relation to the remaining 11 players, Chelsea’s position was as follows: a. Six players qualified for one of the exceptions set out in the FIFA regulations. As a consequence, to the extent there was any breach in relation to these players, the breaches were of a procedural nature only. b. With respect to the remaining five players, FIFA’s position was that it “deemed” these players to have registered prior to any application for registration being made. Chelsea maintains, as was held by CAS in the Real Madrid case, that the FIFA regulations do not cover a concept of “deemed registrations” and accordingly it is not open to FIFA to “deem” that registrations were made before they were in fact made. 4. Chelsea respects the importance of the work undertaken by FIFA in relation to the protection of minors and has fully cooperated with FIFA throughout its investigation. However, if FIFA continues to impose inconsistent and unequal sanctions on clubs then it will not only undermine the very purpose of the regulations, but it will also bring into doubt the game’s confidence in FIFA being able to appropriately regulate this important area. -

they are a superbly run club

40m is never going to happen this January or in the summer he is homegrown, just turned 27 less than month ago, and is by far their best player they have only one other player they would get over £20m for, Luka Milivojevic, and he turns 30 next season, so will rapidly start to devalue the valuations can be translated to reality by adding 25 to 50% to get real market price in most cases Palace really do have a shit team if Zaha goes they have nothing of interest or real quality pure dregs other than Milivojevic and maybe Meyer (who has been a bläääää player so far)
-
Berge is a DMF too, not the AMF Havertz is I still cannot believe we are not looking at Camavinga, I think he is the perfect long term Kante replacement on so many levels also, Thomas Partey only has a £42m release clause Sandro Tonali is still out there too

If we end up with Angeliño and not Chilwell or Telles or even Grimaldo (although his new contract still has a 60m euro release clause in it and Barca get a 15% add-on fee out of that), I am going to look for a wall to bang my head on -
one exception (but he is too old for anything of real long term purview) who would make a great backup striker for a year or two is Artem Dzyuba, I think he would be a great super sub, is huge (1.97m) and scores clutch goals for club and country in big games
-
to buy those all, even if not at inflated January prices would cost around £445m to £485m or so Sancho £100-120m Chilwell £70-80m <<<< by far (along with Werner) my number one want off this list, due to super high release clause raised on Gaya and then Grimaldo staying at 60m, Chilwell and the Vesper-loved, rest-of-board-disliked Alex Telles are it for quality LB who are remotely available atm Berge £40m (Dipperpool wants him BADLY) Havertz £100m Ake £40m Werner £25m (release clause or he would be at least £75-80m) Zaha £70-80m (shoot me now, and I may be wrong on him in terms of quality, but I also think this IS a good possibility if we miss out on Sancho) Zero chance we drop that level of cash, plus every one of those except Ake (who we have a 40m quid buyback clause on) is in crazy demand from all or most of the giant clubs

I am not saying de Vrij woukd be a disaster at all, I do rate him, but he is on Inter and it will take double what he is worth to prise him away now, plus, we only get one full season (2020/2021) out of him until he turns 30, which happens in the middle of the season after this coming one. It is not a long term smart buy, IMHO. -
he drove me insane here I was so so disappointed when we brought him back and then again when we told PSG in 2018 to go pound sand again (when we could have gotten Kehrer for only 6 or 8 million quid more than PSG was offering for Luiz, and then, of course, PSG went and bought Kehrer, ffs) people get mesmerised with his once every 5 or ten games crazy passes, but he lets in FAR more goals than he creates I think the massive, 8 to 10 year or so long wave paradigm change with our club is how much our DEFENSIVE expectations have fallen we, Manure, (who have fallen down too), Juventus, and Bayern were the 4 best defensive lock down clubs on the planet for ages

Skriniar yes, absolutely, he is up there with Romagnoli and Konate for me, probably above both (and now Shitty have said they are NOT buying a CB this January, which is insane, so we MIGHT be able to grab him, but he will cost close to £100m to prise him away from Inter, as they are trying to win the Treble again this year, and so do not expect them to sell) would LOVE to grab him in the summer Koulibaly turns 30 right after the end of next season, so no way is worth the 90m euros plus Napoli will demand Stefan de Vrij is also Inter (so another nightmare to pull now) and TBH, although he is a really solid CB, he will be crazy expensive as well in January and NOT a massive upgrade like some others would be, plus he only 7 months younger than Koulibaly. We have been linked with him for years upon years, and never pulled the trigger before. Romagnoli (AC Milan is a rotten mess) would be the most likely to be a doable January grab that said, I think we will end up grabbing Ake in the summer IF we sell AC not my ideal solution, but I do not own the club -

RB LB there, fixed -

Lol Their centrebacks are pure SHIT. Every single one of them. Luiz has been a joke (we all knew this anyway, I was just pissed we didn't wrench out at least £15m for him, as he had just renewed and Arse were utterly desperate, but good to just have him off the team anyway) Saliba is on loan for the year, and may help sort them next season, but he is only 18 and will have a steep learning curve. Tierney and Bellerin are good fullbacks, but if either go down again, they have only utter dregs to replace them with. Özil at AMF packed it in years ago, and he is basically all they have there. Willock can slide over there, but himself was a teen just 4 or 5 months ago, and is hardly setting the league on fire. Also, Pepe has been a massive bust at winger. Other than him, they only other wingers they have are a couple teenagers (Saka and Nelson) who may come good someday, but at not anywhere near good enough now. They are so so not a top 4 squad atm. Miles away.

Pepe looks pure shit all year we dodged a massive bullet
