  1. His wages are massively higher than €404K (£345K) PW. That is less than what De Gea makes by a fair amount. You might be quoting net.
  2. who is Eric? surely you are not talking about Dier or Garcia or Bailly???
  3. pure corruption football is so broken La Liga have allowed Barcelona to sign Lionel Messi to a new contract despite the Catalan club exceeding the league's salary cap as it stands. https://www.90min.com/posts/barcelona-news-lionel-messi-new-contract-la-liga-approve-deal Barça have the highest wage bill in world football and are desperately need to cut it down to fall in line with the league's salary rules. They cannot register any new signings until they do so, which is why the likes of Junior Firpo, Francisco Trincao and Jean-Clair Tobido have all been moved on. New arrivals Memphis Depay and Eric Garcia have agreed to significant wage cuts just weeks after becoming Barcelona players, and it remains to be seen if they - along with Sergio Aguero and Emerson Royal - will be allowed to play for the club when the season kicks off in August. But that's not even their biggest worry. Long-serving captain and talisman Lionel Messi is out of contract, and with Barça exceeding the salary cap even without his stratospheric wages, it was difficult to see how they would be able to sign him to a new deal. Reports coming from Spain, however, suggest that La Liga have granted an exception in the case of Messi. AS say the league have approved their request to sign the Argentine to a new deal, on the grounds that they have promised to cut their wage bill significantly before the season kicks off.
  4. the lowest I would wager is close to £600K PW, that £750K PW is the highest I have seen quoted Pessi is on what is approaching £2 MILLION PW, all forms of compensations included it is so easy to see how they get into a billion in debt just for those two players, on those wages, that is around £400m or so just in compensation over a 3 year period
  5. we will never pay that salary, it's staggeringly high low end it is close to £80m for 3 years high end it is close to £120m for 3 years depending on which source is correct fuck Barca, let them rot
  6. unless Vlahovic can be had for a fair price, then, after Håland, nothing much interests me, as DCL is too expensive, same for a couple others the rest are big gambles or not good enough unless we try and make a move for Mbappe (IF we fail on Håland, obviously, as we certainly cannot buy them both, lol) we are insane if we bail out Barca by going for the 31yo-this-coming-season Griezmann, who is on a crazy salary (seen so many different quotes, from £500K PW all the way up to £750K PW)
  7. If we do not take advantage of these insanely low prices on super quality players, we have utterly lost the plot
  8. he is being turned into a villain by the UK and US press on the biggest US political morning talk show, watched by 20 million plus, the hosts are calling Italy a thug team, boring, unskilled (in SOCCER, of course) roflmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  9. yet they keep trotting out the rinsed fraud Sergio Busquets he has been shit for at least 2 years go watch him get raped at Barca by dogshit teams the past 2 season even that Barca nutrider geordie assclown Ray Hudson now rips him at times he is close to the only thing I disagree with Enrique on Mancini and Enrique were by far the two best managers in the tournament
  10. Should Chelsea wait for Haaland or sign a striker now and maybe miss out on him? https://theathletic.com/2697679/2021/07/12/should-Chelsea-wait-for-haaland-or-sign-a-striker-now-and-maybe-miss-out-on-him/ Pre-season training is under way at Chelsea and there is not a new, expensive striker in sight to play with. After winning the Champions League in May Chelsea were tipped to be title contenders for 2021-22, with the caveat that their chances of success depended on who they could bring in during the transfer window, especially up front. There is still plenty of time to go — the deadline is on August 31 — but fans are increasingly wondering what is going on. By this stage last year, negotiations for Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech had been concluded even though the market didn’t officially open until July 27 due to delays to the 2019-20 season, caused by COVID-19. Talks over Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell were at an advanced stage too. Ask a Chelsea supporter who is on top of their wishlist and most will reply with the same answer: Erling Haaland. As The Athletic revealed in January, the club are prepared to smash their transfer record to get the Norway international. Hope has been raised with Olivier Giroud being given the green light to join AC Milan, a move worth £1.7 million which should be completed any day now. It means a space in the squad needs to be filled. So surely that is a sign something is in the pipeline if Chelsea are prepared to let the veteran go? Not necessarily, especially as far as Haaland is concerned. Chelsea always knew it would be difficult to prise him away from Borussia Dortmund this summer. The Bundesliga club tend to only sanction the sale of one star player a year and Jadon Sancho is joining Manchester United for £73 million. Haaland and Sancho, who is joining Manchester United (Photo: Alexandre Simoes/Borussia Dortmund via Getty Images) Things were made even more difficult by Dortmund finding a bit of form late in the previous campaign to qualify for the Champions League via a top-four finish in the Bundesliga. Securing a spot, and the finances it brings, was vital after reporting losses of €43.9 million (£37.7 million) in August 2020, with another €75 million (£64.4 million) forecast for the following 12 months. Had Dortmund been relegated to the second-tier competition that is the Europa League, which brings in a minimal amount of revenue in comparison, they might have had no choice but to negotiate. However, sources told The Athletic in May that Champions League football meant Haaland isn’t going anywhere soon. And yet still the stories about a switch to Stamford Bridge come, that owner Roman Abramovich is willing to pay whatever it takes to get the player, who turns 21 on July 21. As discussed in January, it is understandable why Chelsea want to push for a move now. Next year a release clause worth €75 million (currently worth £64.4 million) kicks in, which will bring far more competition for his purchase to the table. Teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona are in no position to bid over £100 million for a player at the moment due to the impact the pandemic has had on their cash flow. Chelsea have made efforts over the past 18 months or so to get on better terms with Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola, who the west London club felt was a major factor in Manchester United beating them to Romelu Lukaku’s signature in 2017. For Chelsea to acquire Haaland, it is expected they will have to pay a sizeable commission to Raiola and the player’s father Alf-Inge Haaland on top of the fee to Dortmund. It is believed Raiola is also angling for the striker to become one of the highest-paid players in the world, comfortably beating the wages of Chelsea’s top earner N’Golo Kante, who is on £290,000 a week. Fresh reports of Chelsea lining up a £150 million offer this week are thought to have caught the hierarchy by surprise because they are coming to terms with the reality that Dortmund don’t want to sell in 2021, even though the German outfit will receive a fraction of his value in 2022. If that is the case, it begs the question: what are Chelsea going to do instead? Surely manager Thomas Tuchel does not have the strikeforce to win the Premier League as things stand. Chelsea found the net 58 times in the Premier League last season, which made them only the ninth highest scorers in the division. Werner struggled to convert chances and continued to show a lack of confidence while playing for Germany at the European Championship. Tuchel clearly does not rate Tammy Abraham too highly, having given him just 230 minutes of playing time after taking over in January. The England international is also angling for a move away from Stamford Bridge. There is of course Havertz, the Champions League hero, to lean on. He scored the winner against Manchester City to claim the trophy and is growing in stature as an attacker who can lead the line. But is he capable of being the man reaching and breaking the 20-goal barrier that most title-winning teams have? Abraham and Giroud with the Champions League (Photo: Darren Walsh/Chelsea FC via Getty Images) Despite all the indications that Haaland is not for sale this year, it would be a big call for Chelsea to completely end their interest and walk away. Strikers of his ability — he has found the net 57 times for Dortmund in 59 appearances — do not become available often. It is not as if there is an array of top-class alternatives to choose from. Naturally, Chelsea like Harry Kane but Tottenham do not want to lose their prize asset, particularly to them. Lukaku, now represented by Federico Pastorello, has stated he is happy at Inter Milan. His team-mate Lautaro Martinez is negotiating a new contract to remain at the San Siro too. They might decide to test Lukaku’s and Inter’s resolve and make a significant offer. Yet if you spend £100 million on the Belgian to be your main striker, you are not going to go for Haaland the following season as well. Chelsea could always go for a cheaper alternative as a stop-gap, a bit like what they did with Giroud when he was bought from Arsenal for £18 million in January 2018. For example, Southampton’s Danny Ings is looking for a move and will not put much of a dent in the budget. That would still leave them with the option of going back for Haaland next summer. But if you are Tuchel and knowing how trophies, especially the Premier League and Champions League, are key to your long-term future, are you going to be happy with a short-term solution in the hope of something better to work with later down the line? A player like Ings has a lot of talent, but there are question marks over what he can do under pressure at the highest level, as with other lower-priced names on the market. Abramovich has shown in the past with the expensive purchases of strikers Fernando Torres (£50 million in January 2011) and Alvaro Morata (£60 million after pre-season had begun in 2017) that he has the spending power to get things done late in a transfer window. The club clearly has a decision to make over whether to stick or twist over Haaland and it is not straightforward. Tuchel will be taking a keen interest. Under Abramovich, Chelsea have always been about the here and now and not even a European Cup win can save you from bad results. Just ask Roberto Di Matteo.
  11. the hilarious thing is Pessi was NOT a Barca player when he won it out of contract so Barca cannot claim that Copa trophy as won by their players same for Sergio Agüero, who is NOT registered yet
  12. fucking Brasil now it is going to a non stop Pessi wankfest for months as he now has his first ever major international trophy
  13. Tottenham transfer shortlist: Three players Nuno may sign to keep Harry Kane Nuno could bring a few players to the club to tempt Kane to stick around. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1461076/Tottenham-transfers-Nuno-Espirito-Santo-Harry-Kane roflmaooo the first one just agreed to go to Lyon Andre Onana that leaves Jules Kounde Ousmane Dembele a dwarf CB and a £130m flop soooooooooo spursy
  14. Manchester United 'very close’ to Raphael Varane transfer breakthrough as saga nears end Manchester United are looking increasingly likely to win the race for Real Madrid star Raphael Varane. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1461115/Manchester-United-transfer-news-Raphael-Varane-Real-Madrid-breakthrough
  15. Chelsea should sell Kurt Zouma https://ninetyminutesonline.com/Chelsea-should-sell-kurt-zouma/ After winning the Champions League last season, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be looking to build a team that is worthy of winning the Premier League. The Blues last won the English top-flight in 2017 under the guidance of Antonio Conte. Almost four years is an eternity by their standards and they will be looking to end this run soon. The West London club will be looking to offload some players this summer to free up space within the squad and free up wages. One player that they should sell is Kurt Zouma. According to Telefoot’s Julien Maynard, the Frenchman could leave the club with a number of teams believed to be interested in him including Tottenham, Everton, Wolves and Roma. Since joining Chelsea from Saint-Etienne in 2014, Zouma has found himself in and out of the first-team and has been unable to truly establish himself as a regular part of the first-team. Under Frank Lampard Zouma got his fair share of first-team action but he once again found himself on the fringes of the first-team following the employment of Tuchel and the return of Antonio Rudiger. Ideally, Chelsea should look to sell Zouma rather than loan him out. He is now 26-years-old and is unlikely to get significantly better as a player than he currently is. Considering he has failed to fully settle into the club so far, it is unlikely that he could fully do so. Letting him move on may also present him with an opportunity to move to an environment where he will fully settle into while also thrive.

  18. completely true a profound lack of black and other non white players, plus far fewer teams to beat off to win most of the worshipped vermin scouser teams from the 1970's and early mid 80's would get the fuck pounded out of them by the CL winners of the past 20 years or so they simply did not have the athletes due to the racist redlining of black players for the most part even when they did start to integrate, again going back to that pure shithole that is Liverpool you had cunts in the late 1980's tossing babanas at black players and fuckall was done about it hell, that still goes on in Italy and elsewhere' 1988 Goodison: we (Chels) did not have a black player until Paul Canoville, who first played topflight footie with us in 1984-85 (joined in 1981 when we were in the 2nd division) he was treated like dogshit by our own fucking supporters I am honest when I say that if I was 15-20 years older or so, I likely NEVER would have supported Chelsea, due to just horrid racism of the old fan base my father struggled dearly with it for ages back in the day, having a black wife and interracial children different world back then, so fucking glad I missed the worst (certainly not all, unfortunately) of it I am sure I will ripped for this post, but I do not give a toss
  19. Barcelona could swap Antoine Griezmann for Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez https://www.football-espana.net/2021/07/10/atletico-madrid-open-to-saul-niguez-swap-deal-with-barcelona-over-antoine-griezmann La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are rumoured to be considering a sensational swap deal for Saul Niguez and Antoine Griezmann. Spanish international Niguez has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spanish capital in recent months after slipping way down the pecking order in Diego Simeone‘s first team plans in 2021/22. The Elche-born schemer has popped up on Liverpool’s radar, as a result of the ongoing uncertainty, ahead of the the new season, with the Premier League side reportedly open to making an offer for him.
  20. I am not even arguing, lol I have no clue what is going to happen same as the rest of us nothing is ever, ever easy with Chelsea we are the only club to break through into the highest realms of the old giant ones (like RM, Barca, Pool, Manure, Bayern, Juve) in decades and some of the them have long since fallen out, like AC Milan and Ajax PSG and Citeh are pretenders to the throne they can smash up the league, but fail always at the big boy level Inter has always been half in, half out, and they did break through for one fairly recent season (the treble under Mou) but now are in the process of destroying a truly great side Juve is one of the giants, but they are horrific in CL finals, they have only won two, 1985 and 1996, and lost SEVEN Atleti are 0 for 3 Benfica is long since gone as a power and had a horrid 2 and 5 record anyway Juve, Atletico, and Benfica are a combined 4 wins, FIFTEEN losses in CL/European Cup finals Forest ( 2 wins, no losses in finals) are not even in topflight footie for ages Porto have won both finals (Mou again for the last one) they were in but are hardly an elite club that is every single multiple winner accounted for (plus Atletico tossed in for showing failure) these are the only other winners not listed above look at the dates, ages ago none of them have a chance to win again, barring Dortmund (would take a tremendous amount of luck for them) PSG, Atletico (the least likely of the 3), and Citeh are the only clubs without a win that remotely have a chance as it now stands to even join the ranks as new winners I absolutely cannot see Arse or Spuds winning one anytime soon it's a pretty closed loop system, has been for ages The only teams who could have won it for the first time (ands not listed not listed above) in the past 30 season are Valencia (double losers 2000 and 2001, as is Reims, but that was in the 1950's for them), Neverkusen (2003), and Monaco (2004), and the last time any of them made the final was 18 seasons ago All 4 of those newbie title shots happened 2000-2004) In fact, remove Sampdoria ('92) and Roma ('84), and you have to go back to the 1970's to find a failed new winner chance (for a club not listed above or one that finally did win it, Marseille won in '93 after failing in '91). We are the only club to break though as new winners since the early and mid 90's with Dortmund, Barca, Marseille, and Red Star Belgrade (the last two will so likely never win one again) Barca got so lucky as they did not have to face the greatest AC Milan side ever (the undefeated 1991-92 team) as Milan was banned from the CL that year, due to them walking off the pitch in the 'lights out' game versus Marseille in March, 1991. If that had not happened (and AC Milan had beaten Barca in the '92 CL), Barca would have only won their first ever CL/EC in 2006 (when Arse choked, blew a 1 nil lead in the last 14 minutes). In other words, Barca would have ZERO European Cups/CL's without Messi on their roster. They really are Messi FC when it comes to highest of levels.
  21. I am not predicting what they will do, just giving my opinion that they are fools to shit away an extra €75-100m (depending on our offer, and an extra €85-110m IF the release clause in only €65m next year, not €75m) all for only one more year of Håland, especially given the unique low point of this market pricing matrix atm my dog the team I could build with €250-275m net zero spend in this market, especially given some of their players they already have not only CL qualifying but for sure Bundesliga title contenders (Bayern will soon not have a completely prime Lewa and many of their players are unhappy with contracts, including the linchpins Kimmich and Goretzka) play their cards right, they could be true CL threats down the nearish road, even with no Håland or Sancho these are hardly dogshit players they already have they just need to strengthen the back 4 plus a CF and some MFers and winger or two Gregor Kobel great young Swiss GKer they just signed Manuel Akanji Dan-Axel Zagadou Raphaël Guerreiro Thomas Meunier Emre Can Thomas Delaney Axel Witsel (ageing though) Jude Bellingham (granted will leave in a year or two) Mahmoud Dahoud Giovanni Reyna (same as Bellingham) Julian Brandt Reinier (on loan from RM) Marco Reus (ageing though) Thorgan Hazard Youssoufa Moukoko (potential absolute monster and is only 16yo)
