We have never lost a game to them in history (including two euro finals (Cup Winners Cup and the UEFA Super Cup), plus a CL semi final were we went on to win the CL final) I so hope we do not now We are the only current major team in the world who can say we have played RM in multiple cups and never lost it is the number one way to make RM plastics go insane most instantly say it's a lie, then when they find out it is true, they explode in poutrage every time, they fucking snap

Tuchel handed brutal Romelu Lukaku Chelsea repeat as £33m call made easy for next owner Thomas Tuchel suffered an unfortunate repeat of Romelu Lukaku's historically poor Crystal Palace display in Chelsea's disastrous defeat to Brentford https://www.football.london/Chelsea-fc/transfer-news/romelu-lukaku-tuchel-Chelsea-owner-23583137 The writing has been on the wall for Timo Werner at Stamford Bridge for some time now. With only one Premier League goal to his name this season and a flurry of sub-par displays, the forward seems destined for a summer exit. On Saturday in the dismal defeat to Brentford, Werner hit a new low. For the majority of his Chelsea career so far Werner has been widely supported by the Stamford Bridge crowd even if things have not been going well for him. But on Saturday any patience left for the nearly £50m man signed from RB Leipzig in 2020 firmly ran out. Statistically, it could not have been more damning for Werner. Given only his third Premier League start since December 11th, the striker completed zero successful dribbles, created no chances, had no shots on target, no accurate crosses, zero ground duels won and lost possession 11 times. This ranked similar to Romelu Lukaku's historically unimpactful display at Selhurst Park back in February, where the Belgian only touched the ball seven times, the first time that has happened in the Premier League for an outfield player since Opta began recording data. This however felt reflective of Werner's deteriorating displays in a Chelsea shirt. With technical limitations and a lack of space to make the runs he did in the Bundesliga, defences have been able to nullify Werner pretty easily since he arrived in England. Reports emerged during the international break from the German outlet Sport1 that Werner wants to leave Chelsea and if the club were to receive an offer of around £33m, a deal could be done to give the struggling striker his wish. The decision for whoever takes over Chelsea should be simple when it comes to Werner's future. He has failed to deliver what was expected of him and his lack of consistent game time when others are fit indicates that he has greatly fallen down the pecking order. Werner was replaced with the maligned Lukaku in Saturday's second half, neither has scored a league goal in 2022 so far, Lukaku's last coming against Brighton on December 29, Werner's against Southampton back in October.

Report: Real Madrid could be without key figure for Chelsea clash https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/champions-league/report-real-madrid-could-be-without-key-figure-for-Chelsea-clash/ Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti could be absent for their trip to Stamford Bridge for Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg match against Chelsea, according to Spanish outlet AS. The Italian manager tested for Covid-19 last Wednesday and had to miss out on his team’s 2-1 over Celta Vigo on Saturday. Instead, his son Davide was in charge in the dugout alongside the other assistant coaches. The former Chelsea manager is, thankfully, fine despite experiencing slight discomfort during the first days, AS claims. However, he reportedly remains positive for Covid-19 based on a PCR test on Sunday. The report mentions that Ancelotti will undergo another test on Monday, but as it stands, it remains unclear whether he will be able to travel to London. This could be a big blow for Real Madrid. According to another report from Marca, Ancelotti still picked the starting line-up on Saturday, but Davide and assistant coaches made the decisions during the match. In terms of the squad, Real Madrid’s official website also confirmed that all members of their squad took part in Sunday’s training except for Luka Jovic, who is still recovering from an injury. On the other hand, his Chelsea squad was “mentally tired” during the shock defeat to Brentford, according to Tuchel. A few players, such as Jorginho, Edouard Mendy, and Christian Pulisic, also had a very demanding international break as they still had to compete in the World Cup qualifier with their respective national team. Although, on a positive note, Reece James is finally back from a muscular injury, while Trevoh Chalobah’s absence was purely team selection, rather than fitness-related issues.
