I don't know what to make off sarri at the moment We have definitely improved in some aspects, playing out of the back, pressing (in parts), youth integration (CHo, RLC) If you had told me that we finish this season with 72 points, a league cup final and a eyropa league final, I would have said, meh, but sounds good. . Now coming to cons: 1. we started well, and then went backwards. Teams adapted to play against us, and we crumbled. 2. Transfer. Sarri has bought 3 players in so far - each of them was at best average (jorgingo), poor (kovacic) to downright shit (tubby). 3. Stubborn as fuck. It was the fact that Southgate gave CHO his debut, along with media pressure and fan wrath which made sarri bend. If not for it, he would have continued with Pedro/willian. 4. Unable to motivate the players. I would honestly we rather suffer our ban this year, see how sarri does (because he anyways thinks we are ready and just need 1/2 buys), rather than actually buying tubby and kova this summer and getting screwed for the next 2 years.

The goal line clearance would not have been needed if he did not do his "I forgot I am a defender" bit, which is far more essential. If you create a monster which kills millions and then you kill it, you don't become a hero. You are still the shit head who created that situation. Same thing applies to Luiz. It simply does not matter what Luiz did after his fuck up. If this was a once or twice a season event, then it's forgivable but it's not. It's happens in double digits easily. He repeatedly creates situations which sets us back in games and piles on the pressure. No matter how many goal line clearances he does after that stupid mistake, it won't matter cause the cast has already been set. The game has already been turneed on its head because of that one howler moment.

And like I said, it did not matter how he lead after that moment. That one moment completely changed the game. We dominated them the whole of 1st half and were looking comfortable. Frankfurt had barely troubled us. The goal changed the whole complexion of the tie/match. It changed the way Frankfurt would have had to approach the game if we were a goal ahead, leaving ample of spaces for Eden to exploit. It changed the morale and the confidence. Goals are the "be all and all" of football games.

Mate, if willian had that performance, he would be crucified. Hazard was anonymous. Uncharacteristically lost the ball a number of times. Hardly tracked back or closed down. I don't think we should give him accolades for the penalty, it was the bare minimum he could do for us. Let's just hope it was due to the exhaustion of a long long season.
