Still amazes me how this thread is full with more hatred than the Willian thread. And why? Simply because Oscar was kept while Jose got rid of both De Bruyne and Mata. We wouldn't be in such a strong position in the League as of today if not for Oscar's exploits in the first half of the season but obviously football fans all have short term memories.

I think people underrate him because he's black and English. Because of that people assume he's another Lennon & Wright-Phillips rather than a Hazard or Neymar. Technically, he's clearly better than the likes of Reus, Depay, Bale, Anderson, Chamberlain etc. And I don't understand the "he doesn't have end product" accusations. You can probably count on one hand the amount of 20 year old wingers not just this season but over the last 10 years that are more productive than Sterling at the same age. We've had fecking Willian playing for us for 2 seasons yet people accuse Raheem of lacking end product. I don't believe it.

Why does he have a bad attitude exactly? Because he has ambition & doesn't want to stay in Liverpool? He's miles better than Fekir and Brahimi and more importantly Willian & Cuadrado. He's exceptionally quick, skillful, unlike the foreign talent everyone overrates (Depay, Anderson) has fantastic close control, strong, excellent movement, extremely versatile, tracks back, creative & has exceptional end product for a player his age.

But seriously the link up between him and Luis (eventually Neymar too) was brilliant to watch. He was constantly dropping deep because the other midfielders were completely useless in the build up. They continually created 2v1's on Brazil's left side with quick incisive 1 touch passes and Oscar found the attackers in between the lines whenever Luis overlapped. They dictated the tempo of the game and Oscar flawlessly ran the game. That said, France were awful. They have far too many counter attacking players. Benzema aside, they desperately lack creativity.

In what world was he great? He was easily the worst of all the Brazilians, good assist for Neymar's goal but it was a standard pass and Neymar made it look much better than it actually was. Then he assisted from a corner and suddenly it's a great performance. It was a standard Willian game He was non-existent in general play and left Oscar/Luis to do all the work in building up.
