  1. Based on his quality performances in the CL this year, I hope that's not true.
  2. Well since we apparently have scouts in Ukraine, I hope someone has been keeping an eye on Fernandinho. As for Taison, never seen him play and never heard of him before he scored that goal.
  3. He's scored at least once in 9 of his last 10 games, 15 in total. Ain't that something.
  4. Michael Cox on Mata: http://www.lifesapitch.co.uk/opinions/forget-terry-mata-is-the-main-man-at-chelsea-these-days/
  5. Very harsh on Hazard. Bar Mata, he's the player who creates the most chances. He's a good passer who doesn't give the ball away often, even under pressure. He holds the ball well. He creates space. Not with his movement, which does needs to improve, but with his great dribbling (which also pushes the opposition to push back). Most can't take the ball away from him without fouling him and he draws a incredible amount of fouls because of it (offering us many set-piece opportunities and forcing opposition players to play more carefully. He's scored a few goals, 2nd highest assist provider in the team. And while he didn't defend much at the start of his career here, his work-rate and defensive play has improved a lot the past few months compared to first. He's no work-horse but that's not what he was brought here. His intercepting in particular stands out in particular, averaging 1.3 interceptions per game. You won't find many in his position with such a figure. How is that offering very little? And Hazard is younger than Moses btw, in reply to the last part of your post. I do agree with you on Moses though.
  6. Thought he was fantastic yesterday. Such a great player to have in the team. He's all about the team and will play anywhere without complaining. His energy keeps surprising me. To sprint at full speed in the 93rd min and not like tired at all, that's just amazing. Physically he's simply excellent. It's too bad he's restricted due to the current system. He has plenty to add offensively with his driving runs and goal-scoring ability for example.
  7. Lampard is selfish Drogba is a cheater Sturridge is arrogant Cole is evil Ferreira is a thief (takes our money yet does nothing) Torres is a girl Terry is the devil We've managed quite a list in the Abramovich era. All that's missing is a rapist (Azpilicueta?).
  8. Hmm a hattrick on your debut or getting closer to breaking the goal-scoring record of the club he's been 'serving' for 12 years (not even a definite starter anymore and most likely his final year at the club.. I personally pick the latter. It's not like a hattrick would ensure Ba succes at the club.A bit selfish yeah but footballers are humans too.
  9. Ramires sprinting in the 93th min. Monster.
  10. Great picture. Always loved the sight of sponsor-less shirts.
  11. I know what you mean. He does seem to stick to the centre. Let's see how he does in the games to come.
  12. I love Moses. I'm glad The Notebook gave him a chance.
  13. Spanish teams play a slower game, keep the playing field short and let the ball do the work, not all teams but most, meaning players have to cover shorter distances and don't have to run/sprint as much compared to the PL, which of course is far less tiring. And with a more hectic schedule, there's less time to recover (Chelsea v QPR). And that's what I meant with that part.I don't know when he'll be back but I think soon.
  14. As a PL team, we need tenacity and mobility unlike Spanish and Italian teams. And with Mikel as a DM, we're in need of it even more. Besides, it's a bonus with Cabaye. He has the passing, vision, intelligence, good technique and also very important, he's a good defender for a CM.
  15. Not at all but he's pretty strong, energetic and more importantly, he's aggressive and he's a fighter. We've been bullied far too often this season.
  16. It's sad even Chelsea fans make fun of him. I don't exactly rate him (him hardly playing doesn't help) but he is a Chelsea player.
  17. I've heard very good things about him but we'd become too light-weight. I'd prefer us going for Cabaye, who would be a excellent buy imo.
  18. I remember watching that episode. That was so funny and sad at the same time.Hope Demba gets to start in the next game starts of his Chelsea career with Bang (see what I did there).
  19. Hard to disagree when you put it like that. But with Torres, Lukaku and Ba all under contract, I'd prefer a different type of striker. It's all a bit too similar for me. Even though I do rate Higuain. But I do agree that he tends to go missing in big games though, his only major flaw.
  20. Good signing. It will be interesting to see how he does here. Yes he's been playing in the PL for a while now but WHU and Newcastle are allowed a lot more space and there's far less pressure to perform. But I do think he'll do well. My only question, is he good enough to be the main striker at a elite club? Let's wait and see. At least we don't have to rely on Torres anymore.
  21. That's what's been annoying me the most. When you look at big spenders over the last 3 years, I'm sure we're among the top 4. Yet look at the current squad. And we're still in need of some serious quality injections in certain positions like you mentioned which is gonna cost a lot of money. It would be a different case if the club cut down the spending but this is just awful.
  22. Didn't even realise that fact. Depressing.
  23. I do like the fact he's taking risks though
