  1. The manager is taking a huge risk. Especially since there's no Cech in goal to save us.
  2. Patrice Evra is a LIAR! Suarez was tricked. Evra and Suarez were talking about crisps and Luis said he didn't like doritos. Liverpool would've won the title if it wasn Suarez's suspension. It's a conspiracy!
  3. Ahh I misunderstood you then. And I agree with you on the press conferences, they don't mean a thing.
  4. Didn't know Chelsea had a Romanian player under contract. Posts on TalkChelsea as well. You don't know Sturridge and you're not part of the team or staff. Why make silly assumptions?
  5. Hope you're right. Even if he does a decent job throughout, I hope he still leaves. A decent player making that much money can't be good for 'the dressing room' and contract negotiations.
  6. You really think Torres will be gone in the summer? As much as I would like for it to happen, I think we're stuck with him. The club doesn't seem eager to just let him leave. As for Lukaku, I don't think the club cares much about whether he'll make it here or not.
  7. Hope Superman won't be out for too long. Always feel very assured with him in goal and I'm sure it's the same for the defenders and the rest of the team.
  8. Fair enough, I'll agree with that. The past years really have shown how much he relied on his pace. Hasn't managed to reInvent his game at all.
  9. But that's because I pretty much never expect to control the ball perfectly with his first touch. You know this every time he steps on the pitch. He used to have his pace to camouflage his average touch. Players like Van Persie and Berbatov would've burried that. And rememeber, I didn't say there was nothing Torres could do about it but it really was a excellent challenge. Not many defenders have the guts to go in like that inside the penalty area. If he was a second too late, it would have been a penalty. What does slightly annoy me though is the fact that Torres is expected to score any clear cut chance/opportunity he gets. Impossible of course. That's why Torres and Chelsea will never work. And no I'm not implying Torres failing here is not his own fault.
  10. Tbf to Torres in this case, that really was a excellent tackle from Distin.
  11. Fast, sharp, very strong, great in the air, more than decent touch, scores goals. Scores goals against top teams and even has knack of scoring some stunners.. It's not like there's talk about signing him for 30 mil. For the reported fee, he'd make a excellent signing despite his dodgy knee.
  12. Buying him would equal 3 homegrown players in our squad.
  13. Why did Gary decide to mark Jelavic who was already marked by Bran? Azpi was never gonna beat Anichebe in the air.
  14. I'm a huge David Villa fan but come on, when did he become capable of playing in midfield and the #10 position? He never even plays in those positions. He's a pure forward. He did a good job as a left forward in his debut season at Barca but he's a striker.Dzeko and Balotelli haven't exactly been happy with their roles at City have they? And because of that, Mancini is forced to rotate constantly up front which has led to the forwards failing to get into a flow thus struggling with form. Utd's case is different. Welbeck and Hernandez aren't 'stars'. But it's only a matter of time before they become unhappy if they remain back-ups. And I doubt Villa would leave sunny Spain and Barcelona to fill the same role, the role of rotation player, at Chelsea, the role he apparently is unhappy with now. Unless we pay him a lot of money.. not really a good idea. There are plenty of options out there.
  15. Cristiano Ronaldo won't last forever. And I'm sure he'd start over Di Maria on the right. But what are we talking about? He's here, let's simply enjoy that fact.
  16. Real Madrid is the ultimate football club for any footballer (except Barca fans). Add the fact that Zidane is his idol and him dreaming of Real is only logical.Personally I'm not too bothered about it, not at all actually. Not every player we get will end up a Lampard case. If he stays here for 5, 6 years and then moves, we simply play/get someone else. Hazard is a exceptional talent but he's not the only one and there will be more to come.
  17. I think you are the one getting ahead of yourself Rmpr haha. I never said anything about Mikel being a outstanding or world-class player. In fact, I agree with you. He's a good player but he's not world-class.
  18. It wasn't aimed at you. TorontoChelsea mentioned Mikel's performance and I said something about it. I don't think you even mentioned Mikel in your post so it really didn't have anything to do with your post.
  19. Hey someone who agrees with me. I seriously think Mikel's game is simply too boring and simple for most and that's why they don't like/rate him.
  20. I'm watching and I saw the game against Villa. Guess I simply don't share your opinion.Me hate Luiz? Haha. I'm part of the small group of people here who have defended him whenever he gets unfairly criticized, which happens quite a lot. So I don't think I hate him Muzchap.
  21. Mata really is the new Lampard. Brilliant finish. Just needs to work on his fitness. If he does that, he'd be able to play in the same role as Lamps in a 4-3-3.
  22. I personally don't think he's a midfielder. He'd have to learn how to play there but that takes a long time. And I don't think he'd ever be completely suited to the role. He's a defender and a pretty good one imo. But due to his style, he'll never be everybody's cup of tea in the PL. He does need to step it up though, at this level we need better than just pretty good. Nice emergency option though.
  23. It was him basically saying sack me (no money if he resigns himself). That's what I think that is.
