  1. Yeah, it's weird. He's a very decent player but he gets way too much credit. He's basically Utd's very own Arteta. I can't believe he's the guy that is supposed to protect the back four. People give Utd's backline a lot of stick but their midfield is too easily passed by.
  2. Fabregas is slow and isn't the most agille haha. And unlike Fellaini, Fabregas isn't the most mobile of players. Add a poor day in the office and he'll struggle. You're right. I never said he was good. He was very poor in the first half. Better in the 2nd half but still not a good game overall. I've said this before but Fab is not the type to dominate the midfield. His style is not controlling. Which is not a bad thing, until you're looking for that kind of presence. But it's not like Mourinho's style suits those type of players.
  3. Fellaini immobile? I know he's slow and unagile but his energy and work-rate are his biggest strengths, bar his aerial ability. Fellaini was surprisingly good yesterday. Didn't expect that at all.
  4. Mehh.. They're not the same team they were last year. They overachieved last season. The likes of Juanfran, Gabi, Tiago, Garcia reached a level they won't ever hit again and they've lost Luis, Courtois and Costa. And they hardly had any injuries last season. Not saying they can't beat Chels but our boys are the better team. They're still a bitch to play against though.
  5. I'm quite enjoying his Real side. 13/14 was of course a great year. And they look strong again this season. A midfield consisting of Modric, Kroos, James and Isco/Bale yet maintain balance, tactical discipline and getting everybody to work hard. Didn't think anyone would be able to pull it off. Great team, an abundance of technical abiltity. Season is still long of course.
  6. Bale is a fantastic player. But for a top player, his technique (bar his shooting) and intelligence isn't the best. And he is not the player for other talented players to be compared to. Besides, Hazard is better imo. But that's just me.
  7. The refs here suck big time, bar Bjorn Kuipers. The ref that did Chels v Maribor is constantly criticised here. And I hear nothing but complaints when people talk abouts refs in Spain and Italy. Don't know about Germany..
  8. Referees need help. The game is too quick. Every single country complains about the quality of referees, assuming the grass is greener in other leagues.
  9. Bale can be so painful to watch sometimes... makes Hazard look like Maradona.
  10. No, no, no. Not Bale again. Please, not Bale...
  11. Fabregas' reputation for not performing in big games did not exist in his time at Arsenal. Barca was a different story (he missed quite a few big games at Barca though, he was often benched) but to act as if it was the same at Arsenal is silly.
  12. The PL wasn't as strong back then as it is now. The teams of the 90s and early 00s weren't better, come on. It was the worst team in the Abramavich era, yet they won (I have no idea how). Isn't that what it's all about according to many haha?
  13. Agree about Utd but I don't know about City destroying them. City have been looking very suspect in transition. They're not as dominant in midfield as well. And they're relying a bit too much on Aguero for goals. If they find their form, they'll win. But play like they have been the past weeks and they'll most likely loose points.
  14. 2 decades? Exaggerating much haha? There is no full proof method but I think going for that second goal, which doesn't mean going all-out attack (even though many seem to refuse to believe that), pays off more often than sitting back.
  15. Fabregas was good vs Everton though. And I thought he was solid against City. Not his fault the tactics against City were negative. Though I got some stick for saying so, others thought he was impressive against City. He was poor today though. Fabregas doesn't have that ability to control the midfield, sadly, like a Modric or Kroos. Players who's contribution goes further than what stats provide. He's a different kind of player.
  16. His touch after the pass by Drogba was perfect. Absolutely perfect. But then he doesn't bury it... I was so mad.
  17. Poor, poor performance. Messed up some good opportunities to attack them with some awful passes. Very disappointed.
  18. Good point. Real kept attacking Barca and it paid off. Why can't Chelsea do that? Still too safe from Mou.
  19. Unlucky at the end. Should've won, Utd did nothing in the 2nd half. Maybe if the team showed more intent to score a 2nd... Hazard was the best attacking player on the pitch. Kind of unlucky not to score after that great play. Should've scored really. I thought the back 5 was great, Luis especially with his performance on the ball as well as off it. Matic was very good too.
  20. This is a very English game. The team that wants it more, will end up winning it. If the counter-attacks are executed better, our boys should win this.
  21. Fab has also been invisible. He can't control the midfield like some of the other top playmakers.
  22. Compare this to El Clasico in terms of technical ability and calmness and intelligence on the ball, and you can't help but notice a Huge gap in quality haha. Painful performance by Drog. He's so slow. The body can't keep up with the mind.
  23. Big game. You know Drogba will give his all. That's all you can ask of him. This is Drogba and not some random guy. You can only support him.
  24. His name is Filipe!!!!!!!! Win for Chels. Definitely.
