Pato, at 8M will prove to be a positive signing. In my mind, goals is not where I'd spend my money anyway. We have Costa, Hazard, Willian, Oscar. Although they are having shitty seasons (except Willian), those guys should be sufficient. Our money needs to be spent in a more creative transitional midfielder (sorry Cesc), a better holding midfielder (sorry Matic) and a revamped back line (could improve all 4). If Pato does better than Pedro and Oscar I'll be very happy (not asking much).

Agreed Jason. Was not too happy waking up to this news. They must not be seeing immediate options out there on the transfer market. Maybe he's an insurance policy (injuries, etc.).

Hey at least they fixed that stupid buttoned collar. Hate that on the home jersey this year. That said I find this season's away jersey ridiculously sharp looking. On the proposed 2017 jersey, can't say I like the logo pattern and the collar needs some color. The stripes down the sides could be nice...not sure.

so not sure if Oscar's in or out...but here's what I see...very conservative...not much different than regular starting 11. I liked what I saw from Mikel....would sit Matic longer. If Oscar's out..........meh....Pedro in his place. Both are underwhelming options.

Zouma still needs a lot game time to improve his awareness and game smarts. He makes up for a lot of this thanks to his speed and athleticism (as stated above). I like Zouma, he's young...he'll get there. Anyone else think that 9 times out of 10 his sliding tackle today would have ended in the player continuing his run, tripping over Zooma and getting the penalty? yikes....I blame the Scunthorpe forward for missing that one...shouldn't have jumped over him.

nothing special from the star players. They should have been able to dismantle such opposition. That said, very happy to see RLC, Traore and Kenedy on the pitch. Nice goal by RLC.
