AWorriedChelseaFan reacted to Mustafa in 🇧🇷 David Luiz
David Luiz is probably the least respected player in the league.. even tho he's one of the most talented. He's constantly being targeted since the day he arrived. And this just goes to show how awful English pundits are when it comes to analyzing Luiz's game. The way they disrespect him even tho there aren't ANY English defenders that can do what Luiz did yesterday. He was absolutely pulling the strings. Pretty much dictating the game from sweeper. The range of passing, the bravery.. I remember him being pressed by Musa and Vardy and he calmly passed around them. His pass to Pedro right at the beginning of the second half was immaculate but they didn't even care to mention his name when he put the ball right on Pedro's foot from 70 yards. Imagine Stones did that? His free kick, the technique. WHAT CB can do that?? And just like every single Luiz game, they started talking - almost laughing - when he made a WORLD CLASS intervention to stop Vardy from scoring a tap in. They didn't see it as an amazing interception, they saw it as a typical David Luiz moment where he almost scored an own goal.
All of these pundits played football in an era where all you had to do as a CB was to boot it clear and win headers. They don't have any idea what a modern CB is.
Also, another thing I found funny is that Kante won MOTM. I'm not taking anything away from Kante's performance but he was his usual self. People are goin on about his pass to Moses... that wasn't particularly difficult and he's was doing that for Leicester last season as well. They gave him the award because our good ol' English pundits like the hard men, the workhorses and they frown upon the players who let their technical ability do the work for them. ESPECIALLY when the player is a CB.

Two clear cut chances last night ruined by the assistant's wrong call IMO. First, right before the HT, it was never in a million years an offside and the 2nd one, just before he got subbed off, I doubt it was an offside either.
Italy parked the bus big time, but his movement was superb once again.
Happy birthday Diego!!! Some say this is actually his 40th birthday , but in fact he's just turned 28 and hitting his prime

Fabregas needs to play. He's the only central midfielder we have that can pick a pass. The only player besides Hazard that has any creativity to offer.
Arsenal dominated us with a midfield 3 of Coquelin, Cazorla and Ozil. From a defensive point of view that's the equivalent to us fielding a midfield of Kante, Fabregas and Hazard.
Yet we're stuffing our midfield full with worker ants and then act suprised when we can't string three passes together.

I don't get why people think that the arsenal game was case in point for why he shouldn't start.
1. I think we play best when fabregas comes back deep to get the ball. This means that I don't think think playing him #10 is best for us. I agree he looked ineffective there.
2. How is he supposed to get the ball when kante is the one trying to get the ball from deep. At one point you had David Luiz screaming at kante to just be brave enough to stand between the two center backs far in our own zone, and check for the ball, receive it and turn with it. Problem is, he doesn't have that quality. He tried it a few times and was shambolic. Fabregas is the closest thing we have to a pirlo in that sense.
3. I love how people want to blame him for being weak in defense when we've given up how many goals this season that had nothing to do with him or he wasn't even on the field for? Especially when everyone is claiming kante is a shoe in starter and then he gets turned like you all imagine fabregas would get turned by ozil, leading to the second goal.
come off it.

I like Conte and he deserves at least a full season or two to sort the shit in our club but losing to both Liverpool and Arsenal in a seven days period hurts alot.

Really? So Luiz made a mistake as costly as Cahill's assist to Sanchez? Come on.
What happens here is clear for me. Since 13/14 season, when Cahill became a regular starting XI for English NT, local press tried to picture Cahill as a solid rock defender, while Luiz was this "non defender" player. You know, its not really amusing when the NT's CB is warming the bench for a top club. I remember Mouirnho faced questions about that when he came back and Terry and Luiz were his choosen ones. I remember that the press strated to highlight Luiz mistakes. There was a defeat to Everton, 1-0, when Luiz was caught out of position (actually one of the Cahill's weakest points), and there were many articles about that in the papers and eve a discussion about that in Sky Sports.
In other game, after a mistake, the TV was showing Luiz and then Cahill, Luiz, then Cahill, more like saying: how can Luiz be playing an Cahill on the bench?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2466358/Jose-Mourinho-Gary-Cahills-John-Terry-David-Luiz-Chelsea.html
Despite Cahill being no more than a Bolton quality player, and making huge mistakes in WCs and Eurocup, days ago Carragher said Terry and Cahill are ahead of Luiz in the picking order. Cahill's mistakes made England leave last WC after only two games, and this year, the team was defeated by Iceland (!!!). It took a huge mistake to local press start picturing Cahill as an average CB who dont deserve to start games for a team who want to be in the top again.
Its not something that only happen in UK. Usually local press overrates their countrymen. Another good example was that Game against PSG, when Ba scored the 2nd in final minutes. Terry and Lampard were really shy in that game, and there was a article in DM about how good and decisive both were in that game.
Now its happening again: last season the team was conceding goals for fun, and Terry was involved in most of those games, but now of course, the press is saying the team is conceding goals because Terry is not playing...

Anyone saw the build up of the third goal for Arsenal ? Fucking Ivanovic is just jogging back without a single care in the world and lets Ozil ran through on goal to score.

LMAO, this is one of the best comment I've read in TC. Made my day, thanks mate!
Anyway, back on topic. I rather have Ivanovic playing as our backup CB than this Bolton reject. How the hell can this clown still gets his place into our starting eleven bogs my mind, his mistakes are just ridiculous and they are costing us massive points...

Those pundits, journalists, fans who have been saying Luiz is a major defensive liability might want to look at the shit and idiot that is Cahill. It's 3 league games in a row that he's cost us big goals and has hardly gotten criticism. Had Luiz done that, there would have been a public campaign against him.
And looking back, it's totally cringeworthy that he moaned about the referee few weeks ago for Swansea's first goal. Sure, the ref made a mistake but as I said back then, the situation wouldn't have happened if he didn't dwell on the ball but he did and we paid for it.
And looking even further back, can't believe he had the audacity to grumble about losing his first team spot last season, this after getting a new contract when he shouldn't have. He's an absolute joke and an utter embarrassment to the club.

Chelsea need 10 new players to win PL and UCL. No doubt about that, but Chelsea dont need 10 players to PLAY DECENT FOOTBALL AGAINST LIVERPOOL AND ARSENAL.

He's been immense this season. Tore Leicester's CB's a new one last night even though he couldn't finish his chances. Great disguised pass in the build up to Cesc's 1st as well. Something he rarely does.

I hate to say it, but I'm annoyed with Conte the most. Let's give him time and all that, but why are we setting up defensively at home and playing on the counter attack?
We made them look like fucking Barca at the bridge. Similar to the West ham game, we showed them far too much respect. They had Milner at LB FFS. Theyre known for being woeful at the back and we didn't exploit it or even try too. Hazard should have been put on Mlner from the start.
Also, re conte - the subs and tactical changes were far too late.
Change has to come at Leicester. We simply can't go on like this - defeat on Tuesday is unthinkable given our failure to qualify for European competition last season.
