17 is my favourite number so i am happy with Hazard having that number and will definitely be getting Hazard 17 on the back of my shirt for next season!

why would anyone be against signing someone from United?

why would people want someone who doesn't care at all about the club! He wants to work with Mourinho that would be his only desire to play for Chelsea just so he can work with the special one! i for one would never support someone like Rooney who doesn't have and will never have even an ounce of love for our club! It would really be sickening to see someone like Rooney wearing a Chelsea shirt! At least Torres came here because he had ambitions to win trophies at club level and saw Chelsea had much more ambition to do that than Liverpool! Rooney on the other hand wants to come here because he wants to work with our manager and cant take not being the main man! and probably thinks he can be the main man at Chelsea! well he will be in for a big shock when he realises he will never be the main man at Chelsea! and will always play second fiddle to Mata and Hazard! and once KdB, Oscar and Lukaku develop further then Rooney will most likely hand in a transfer request with us as well! I am just glad that this transfer most likely wont happen anyway! it would really be a horrible buy!

He is like a smaller version of Busquets.

He has really caught my eye as well! I really like him, i think he will become a great player but i see him going to one of the top two in Spain, but i think he would do well in the PL.

If Torres plays well in the Confederations Cup then i can see Barca really wanting to sign him,

because we are not a club who struggle financially you cant compare us to most other teams as most other teams dont have the money we have and you cant compare Torres to most other strikers as his transfer to Chelsea and his wages are not a normal situation that any other club has to deal with! We should be keeping the player who offers us more and imo that is Torres. As i said if the board feel the wages are an issue then he should leave, but if not then he should stay as he is better than Ba imo and will always be favoured more than Ba anyway because of the money spent on him.

what is random about it? and what does Foreign sounding names have to do with anything??? The players i listed in the first 2 lists are all better than Rooney and the debatable list are players who were arguably better than Rooney based on last season and based on the fact that Rooney looks like he is in decline. But the players in the first 2 lists shows why Rooney is not World Class! im not really sure what your getting at, I dont really care if he is thick and earns millions! or what he does off the pitch ect, i dont want him here because i dont think he is world class and i feel he is in decline, and will only get worse!

that's true everyone does have different criteria to judge if a player is world class and for me to be truly world class you have to be one of the very best players in your position. I agree Rooney was at that level in 2010 but its 2013 now and Rooney hasn't shown that form consistently in the last 3 years! Haha! its says United are not happy with the £25.5 million asking price! for one of the best strikers in the world thats a bargain!!! There is no chance Chelsea will not pay that if he actually is available or if we haven't already settled for Cavani! But seriously £25.5 Million is peanuts to Roman! Sign him up already!!!

your getting a bit too carried away there, i have never seen anything special about his work-rate, there are plenty of players around Europe past and present who work just hard or even harder than Rooney, his work-rate is overrated imo, just like most of his other attributes. and also Rooney isn't a world class player! not even close.

Terry, Lampard and Ashley Cole have all been world class! it shouldn't even really be up for debate!

I agree Lewandowski is better than Cavani and of course cheaper!

I don't like the look of Oscar in the pivot i would rather Ramires in there with someone like De Rossi or Alonso with Oscar rotating with Mata or KdB Ramires - Alonso/De Rossi KdB/Oscar - Mata/Oscar - Hazard Cavani/Lukaku

Yeah that's makes sense lets keep Ba because his wages are less! We are a club who really struggle financially aren't we? The board are not stupid and they will know if Torres wages are going to be an issue then he will go! But if not then they will keep him over Ba! And what makes you think Torres would only get cameo appearances? of course he will also start games, we will be fighting for 5 trophies next season! We need depth in the squad! And your only assuming that Ba won't complain and Torres will. IMO if we sign a world class striker, Torres won't complain about being on the bench, it will probably motivate him to work harder to get into Mourinho's team, just like when Ba came in people thought Torres would sulk but no he actually worked hard and improved and in the end was better than Ba.

I would rather Torres stay than Ba tbh! I think he is a better option coming off the bench, he has shown in his Chelsea days that he can take advantage of tired defences and with the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar/De Bruyne and hopefully Cavani terrorising defences for an hour of so, i would rather Torres or Lukaku come on and start making runs in behind tiring defences rather than the lethargic Ba

still way to early to say! if make the right signings then we could beat them! I dont see us getting spanked though, if we lose i think it will be by the odd goal same if we we win. I dont think Jose would ever allow his team to get spanked in a cup final.

doesn't make much sense to sign Draxler, good player but not really needed, i'd rather go for the young Brazilian Bernard as a back up to Hazard or De Bruyne.
