  1. You respect Benayoun more than Reina or Mascherano
  2. I've never seen him but here's a piece on him It brings an end to over half a decade of Nana at Chelsea, as he joined the club's academy ranks in his early teens and progressed through the ranks into senior football. A former winger as a schoolboy, he was moved into defence when becoming a first-year scholar. His impressive athleticism stood out at youth level and he was regularly an impressive performer, picking up the captaincy in his first year and taking it regularly during his second. A professional contract followed, as did a spot in the reserve squad, but as so many players find, the step up to playing against adults was one Nana would find tougher. No longer was he able to get away with things he was able to amongst his own age group due to his physical prowess. He still displayed ability, but when truly tested there were mental and technical lapses which quickly raised doubts about his long-term Chelsea future. A summer trial at Bournemouth twelve months ago came to nothing and a permanent place at a League One club does come as something of a surprise after his questionable spell at a lower level, but to be fair to both player and club, there is raw potential to be harnessed, and in signing a three-year deal there's a commitment to his future. Looking at the upper-end of his potential, a player in the mould of Micah Richards comes to mind (although not of the same quality). A physically excellent right-back or centre-back (and occasional left-back) with enough ability to get by and contribute effectively in attack. Posh fans can be excited by the signing of the boy who will wear 'Nana' on his shirt but they will also have to be patient. Johnson expects him to stand an England Under-21 chance in the next twelve months. From everyone at TheChels, good luck Nana. Over the coming days, there could be more following him out of the door at Cobham. Ben Gordon is currently on trial at Willem II in Holland and has until Sunday to impress them enough to earn a permanent contract. Niclas Heimann has already signed a deal with Red Bull Salzburg, who are defending Austrian champions. The likes of Kenny Strickland, Nikki Ahamed, and Liam Bridcutt could follow as they seek to forge futures in professional club football. It's a tough time of year for everyone involved, with the likes of Bridcutt having been at the club for over a decade, but they are the realities of football. Source:TheChels I'd love some Esk's input on them.
  3. And I won't. I see you're offended by the Jewish comment but that's not the point. You said he and Gael will be rotated meaning either one of them will regularly start. We'll I'm 100% sure Yossi Benayoun isn't anywhere near good enough to be a starter for the famous cfc
  4. AbsolutelyI love how you didn't even answer my question. And I shan't get personal on a football forum. It would be pathetic,to put it mildly.
  5. I'd argue that Ballack was somehow vital,I still remember how the team collapsed after he was substituted in the 2nd Inter game. Moreover I'd argue that after this WC Riccy has showed us that he still has it,let's not forget that he was one of the best defenders in Europe and even a worse Carvalho is head and shoulders above most CBs in the league. He actually can run unlike our other 3 Central Backs and if he manages to avoid a few injuries he can be of great use to us. Just raising some points ^
  6. Are you actually saying that you want that Jewish-ex-Scouser reject to be a starter for Chelsea?
  7. God I hope this is a bad joke. Pre-season starts tomorrow on Monday so it sounds true
  8. I'm sure it will benefit the sport. A 5th referee could get some 10 seconds to watch the incident in question and communicate with the main referee about what happened. The standard of refereeing (in Europe) is pretty bad and something should be done about it. Besides player acting like they've been shot every time their team wins usually waste 2 minutes of the game so a few seconds here and there to help the referee won't harm anyone.
  9. I've seen worse, this is pretty impressive though. I remember some fans on Farcebook wanting us to offload him after the Bridge scandal broke out.
  10. I would be more worried about City getting stronger with each transfer. Last year they proved that they were already capable of beating most teams or at least getting a draw against top teams like United. If they sort our their consistency I think they will be much more serious title challengers than Arsenal. Letting them sign players like Silva only makes them a bigger threat.
  11. Good point but I still think their quality difference makes up for Coles age.
  12. Quite interesting,Hiddink could easily develop Ozil into the best AMF in the world.
  13. Knowing Mourinho's love for both players I'm willing to believe RM's interest but don't think they'll get either one. Also 25m(albeit £) for Cole is ridiculous considering the fact that Ramos was priced around 40m.
  14. The thing with Bayern players like Schwein is that Bayern don't have any reason to sell them. Bayern just made it to the CL final and aren't in any huge financial problem so why would they want to weaken their team. They didn't let an injury prone Ribery go a few years ago so the chances of them selling a german world class talent like Bastian are rather slim. Besides why would he leave a big team that he has played for since 98 to live in a foreign country? I'd love to see him here but I don't think it'll happen.
  15. We were never actually interested in him or Villa, they're too good to be back-ups for Essien and Drogba
  16. We're still one of the richest clubs in the world so I think you are all overreacting,
  17. That's what they call wishful thinking
  18. I wish him success,I know I'll be backing Leverkusen next season.
  19. Thomas Kalas has confirmed that he has signed for Chelsea. source Google Translate is our friend.
  20. Kostas

    Help!

I had some big ant problems a couple of years ago, ant bait/traps did the trick in no time. Here's what I found with Google. </h4>
  21. Fair list but I don't see how Messi and Drogba belong there,if anything I expected both to be better and kinda stand out for their country,in my opinion they were underwhelming.
  22. That Nigerian goalkeeper,Enyeama, has made some saves that would make Yashin proud. Sign him up as soon as possible and loan Cech to Arsenal
