We'll draw Jose's team, either in the group stages or early in the knockout rounds,I'm sure about it.

12 3 4 And to be honest we've been expecting a loan move for him for a while now so I'm willing to buy their story. -

He's 99% on a year long loan to Wolverhampton.http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/mancienne-joins-wolves-on-loan-again-as-chelsea-reject-1633m-offer-2061045.html Could explain why he couldn't be arsed to defend in the reserves game. The official site is usually late with those things. -
We've got more than enough cover at RB and even if this spells Ferreira's end Srna is too old/expensive to be a 3rd choise back-up. But we've done more stupid things in this transfer window so I won't be surprised.
-
Sounded like a stupid move a while back but I'm willing to believe it right now. 16 million is too much considering his age and that he has just one year left on his contract. What is it with this club and Right Backs?

If we are to challenge for all 4 rotation will be necessary and we are a few injuries/suspensions away from being in trouble.Squad depth has been our strong point in the last years and we are just not comfortable with the current squad. Either our youth or our meds will have to outdo themselves this year. -

We're clearly one man short in the central defence,I wouldn't trust Ferreira there and Essien would be terribly missed in the midfield. -
He leaves an open window for both United and us which is rather worrying. Wonder what he'll do after winning everything at Madrid.
-
We look a bit thin in the central defense and the central midfield but that may be due to being spoilt since the Mourinho days. Hopefully youngsters will be able to step up when needed and make up for the odd game Belletti or Joe Cole played last year. As a pessimist I think we'll be in trouble around December with injuries, suspensions and our usual Christmas hangover combined. A quality back-up keeper would certainly be welcome but hopefully Hilario or Turnbull could fill Cech's shoes when needed despite being completely useless.

Matic isn't really an academy product so I don't see how it's related,a possible sale however would raise many questions about some of our scouts.
-
Probably off to WIgan.
-
(click on me!) Google translation: "... Both players have been hired, but we have an option to buy in the contract. We are very happy that they play for Vitesse,"said Ted van Leeuwen.
-
Vitesse's chief scout confirmed that they have an option to buy both Matic and Rajkovic so it would make sense if Delac was also signed under the same terms.

Matej Delac looking forward to Chelsea Move

Do you think the other two Chelsea loanees were brought for the first team? Also since I have absolutely no clue about the Dutch league, where do you realistically see your club finishing this season? Checking wiki I've seen that you've been a mid table club for the few years,do you see an improvement this year? -

Ka-boom He's reported to have had a medical at Vitesse. Here's the interesting part, one Dutch website claims that Vitesse have also arranged an option to buy Delac wtf? -
It's official Matic and Rajkovic are on loan to Vitesse http://www.vitesse.nl/nieuws/bericht/eerste-training-matic-en-rajkovic/764

Mancienne was really uninspiring,I remember him getting caught out of positions numerous times. Van Aanholt was excellent but I don't remember him actually defending Borini didn't look like he can play in front by his own,he was either getting out-muscled or being caught offside all-night.

Injury Latest - Terry, Sturridge & Romeu out injured.
Kostas replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Ray Wilkins- Sturridge returned to training today, Kakuta will be back in training in 3,4 days, with Bruma back in a week. And Zhirkov has gone back to Russia for a few days on compassionate leave, as he has become a father again. -
Here's what I found after a quick search,it looks like it went under the radar in April. http://www.dailymail...frey-Bruma.html Ninja Edit

We're left with 2 slots for foreigners now and you'd expect us to fill at least one of them. But with our transfer inactivity it looks like this will be our squad for 10/11: 1.(HG): John Terry 2.(HG): Ashley Cole 3.(HG): Frank Lampard 4.(HG): Ross Turnbull 5.(HG): Daniel Sturridge 6.(HG): 7.(HG): 8.(HG): 9. Petr Cech 10. Branislav Ivanovic 11. Michael Essien 12. Didier Drogba 13. Mikel 14. Florent Malouda 15. Jose Bosingwa 16. Yuri Zhirkov 17. Paulo Ferreira 18. Salomon Kalou 19. Alex 20. Nicolas Anelka 21. Hilario 22. Yossi Benayoun 23. Ramires 24. 25. -
