  1. I thought you'd know better by now When a youngster of Kakuta's talent isn't given a proper chance to replace Joey fricking Cole C.Clifford has not chance of replacing Lampard.
  2. That's 2 months actually, 3 if you look at the whole picture. Just saying..
  3. We have to overcome the huge challenge of replacing at least Lampard and Drogba when our board failed to replace our bench warmers.Where did people get the idea that Abramovich isn't willing to spend?
  4. Lol.Dunno but taking a wild guess anything over 65 points will get us the 4th place.
  5. Not necessarily putting the blame on the coach but thin or not our squad is good enough to qualify for the CL without even breaking a sweat*.*REAL injury crisis excluded.
  6. Hindsight is a great thing. I can't believe people are saying that we miss Belletti, Cole or Carvalho. I fully supported the summer clear-out and I still do. We did well to get rid of Belletti and Cole and if kids were given a proper chance we wouldn't miss them at all. Carvalho had a bad season before he left and was getting very injury prone, we needed a defender just to make up the numbers even if it meant a CB version of Ferreira. Ballack is the only one we really miss as Ramires hasn't looked like a proper replacement so far and Matic was loaned out. Back when I argued that we had the thinest squad in the league I remember people saying bs like "quality over quantity" and now people miss our fringe players?
  7. Any thoughts now that we're almost halfway there?
  8. The cynic in me says the contacts that got him hired in the first place will buy him the time he needs in during this crisis.
  9. I had Ivanovic as a CB because he's more likely to get games there knowing JT's and Ale's injury record. I was shocked when reports linked us with Coentrao as LB is our best covered position. Fix that and the post will be perfect
  10. :goodpost: Agreed, despite his head-scratching decisions and the responsibility he may have for our catastrophic results I believe he should stay for the same reason you do.Although one has to wonder if keeping a man at such an important position just for the sake of keeping him is a healthy way of thinking
  11. I can't say if he's ever going to be good enough for Chelsea yet especially after what he has showed us this year. Not after being preached about how Salomon Kalou may turn into the next big thing But the current problem is that with only 3 CBs at the club and Bosingwa/Ferreira at RB he isn't even close to being our biggest weakness at the back. I'd rather we solved those problems before thinking about Mikel. :lol:You've been here 1 day and you want me to give Ferreira a break because I just asked how a user thought he performed?! And after saying that he's been a good servant (which I've pointed out in other threads) you want him to return to Portugal?
  12. Unfortunately Ancelotti has already ruled out any changes in our "shape" so I can't see a tactical step like this one happening. Not to mention that a deep-lying midfielder is the trademark of all his successful teams. I think a change in tactics/faces in our front three looks far more viable and will in my opinion yield better short-time results. What do you make of Ferreira's performance? I know I'll be labeled a hater so I'd like to hear what a neutral thought.
  13. IMHO he's not doing himself a favour when all the risks* he has taken during our crisis had horrible results (Ferreira at CB, Drogba on the bench against Tottenham and Essien at DM ) *Keeping in mind how the word risk should be interpreted when we talk about Ancelotti.
  14. Maka could really on fast and talented players to create upfront. Mikel has a 32year old Drogba, a rather confused Anelka and Kalou(....) I insist that with the team collapsing Mikel and Cech done their best to save our face. They can't have a huge effect on our play from their positions (just like JT,Ash and Bran) but they were good enough 9/10 times. Granted Mikel isn't as proven but IMHO it's like asking for Cech to be dropped for a better keeper (i.e. Cudicini) due to the goal he conceded agaisnt Newcastle.
  15. Now that's a different question altogether, and we have many holes to fill before looking into such a trivial thing.
  16. I think some are being harsh on Mikel here, the boy has had what 2 bad games? Him being out of form was inevitable and you can't possibly say he doesn't deserve his place when he has been one of our best players this season. When the rest of the team is literally falling apart (excluding Cech) he can't put in 9/10 performances every week.
  17. For all the talk of Essien and Bosingwa being "better than new signings" neither has really set the world on fire since they returned. I'm afraid it's going to be the same with Lamps, I'm not trying to criticize a legend but his return was ridiculously overhyped here. I won't be surprised if someone here (myself included) cries for Anelka to get well after realizing how good his "replacement" is..
  18. Lack of goals, bad luck in games where we looked like coming back to our best, not being able to keep possession. All these IMO were more important than Wilkins' departure.
  19. Fact is we've started to play badly well before Wilkins' left, suggesting that his sacking played a huge part in our worst run in 10 years is stupid.
  20. Extreme. I like it.We know it's not going to happen though.
  21. I sure as hell don't want to, your arguments have silenced us numerous times.. He did a terrific job against Liverpool
  22. Off the top of my head he's had 2 assists.
