The majority of players from the French league have always seemed to adapt well to the EPL. I would not be surprised if Michy is the same. Martial doesn't seem to be doing too badly at Utd.

Dunno what's going on. Wasn't Napoli offering him an improved contract a couple weeks ago? It isn't like he's been too preoccupied so unsure why he hasn't signed a new contract yet. Napoli have dragged this out way too long now. I am sure they were hoping we would agree a fee closer to their reported value of £60m, but now they've learned we won't go beyond the 50m euros offered they have no choice but to try renew as they'll have egg on their faces as K2 and his agent wanted a contract renewal to begin with.

Whether he would be a fantastic signing or not, he is key player at Juve and no chance we could prize him away.

Playing for Betis vs Barcelona later (at Barcelona I think) so should be interesting to see how he performs. Looking forward to following his progress this season; really hoping for big things from him so he can return with Christensen next season and secure a starting place in the team.

I don't think we've not learned our lesson. We wanted Koulibaly, he was our main target. We were obviously led to believe there was a chance we could sign him, so why would we have just gone onto B or C target when our number 1 target could be obtainable. It's a bit naive to believe the board were only focusing soley on Koulibaly and didn't have back up options, but they wouldn't have known it would be so hard to negotiate with Napoli, or that they would have been wanting so much money for him. He is a risk for us after one good season at Napoli so we are within our rights to be cautious about overspending for him. The board have obviously tried hard to get him, but it's just proving very difficult. At the end of the day no concrete news (apart from poor sources) has come out on whether there has been a contract put forward or whether Koulibaly will even accept. I think we should just wait before people start slating the board once again (and without good reason) and accusing them of poor business. So far we have done very good business, but it's simply not as easy to get every single target the club wants without resistance.

That's a lot of money to be fair.

Is it a definite Koulibaly is renewing? We are being bombarded by various sources, but none of them seem legit.

Can't believe this guy signed from Genk in 2014 for 7 million and only has 6 caps, I REPEAT, 6 CAPS, for Senegal. How is this guy now valued at nearly £60 million? It is an absolute joke. Just give Tomori a chance at CB instead, fed up with having to pay over the odds for players.
