  1. since when?....we even to struggle to sell out allocation for it because many ST holders cant be bothered. Shows how much regular support think of it as a trophy
  2. totally irrellevant as had KdB grown a pair and stayed (Mourinho didnt want him to go) he would have more likely ended up proving himself good enough to force his way into a more permanent slot. Mourinho likes to challenge players .....KdB didnt like being challenged and thought he was good enough there and then but actually he still needed time to develop...which is why Wolfsburg was a good move in hindsight
  3. KdB didnt get motm in any of the games he played with us.He was ok v Hull but others put in better performances and he progressively got worse. Rumours about his training ethics and his dad/ agent knocking on Mourinhos door all the time were rife. As a young man he needed to grow up and learn more which he wasnt prepared to do at Chelsea....at Wolfsburg he became the big fish in a little pond which suited him whereas at Chelsea he could have grown into a big fish but there were other fish just as big to fight off. Chelsea got an excellent price plus sell on fee for someone who didnt have the balls to fight. At the time that was the correct decision for the club and for him which Mourinho sanctioned.
  4. not how I remember it..... started off awfully versus Villa and Mourinho was right to sub him and apart from one or two decent moments in games didnt really improve. Seemed way off the pace compared to the others around him.Can remember being at the Villa game and thinking what has happened to the clubs last years winner players player of the year
  5. of course and its well written.....but its a red top newspaper style of headline which stands out and isnt exactly true
  6. of course...but it wasnt exactly 'disappointing blues' .... perhaps more of 'unlucky blues ' or a 'disappointed blues'which certainly has more of a ring of truth to it
  7. disappointing negative headline to what most considered a decent much improved performance
  8. I must have been imagining Maccabi, Arsenal and Walsall not long back then ;-)
  9. good job you didnt watch us in some parts of the 70's and 80's then
  10. Tactics and selection wise, Mourinho got it spot on tonight. Good balanced performance that was a shade unlucky not to be rewarded with a goal. He seems relaxed and the team as a whole are improving. Considering a lot of posters were saying Kiev would be tricky, I thought Chelsea made them look pretty ordinary pretty much most of the game. Well done Mourinho and all the team
  11. how many times is he gonna say Courtois?
  12. and some fans not supporters like a good old moan....so if there is nothing to moan about. So dont tell me what what is match talk and what aint. PS..you are 99.99 % certain no oppo fans post on here....yeah..right ho
  13. wtf are you on about. Talking about the team playing well is talking about the match
  14. some posters aint gonna like this...but we actually are starting to look a decent team again. Positive signs even if we dont get 3 points tonight
  15. yarmalenko a left footer plays rw and always cuts inside....good we have a right footed lb there
  16. good that we have right footed LB tonight to combat Yarmelenko who only has a left foot and cuts inside
  17. at this moment....no one. In ten years time , the romantic notion that an ex player such as JT, Lampard, Drogba etc etc is very successful as a manager sounds appealing
  18. wonder if that poll about whether Mourinho should get the sack is a true reflection of how Chelsea supporters ( the whole community ) hink. A lot of the ones I know cannot be arsed with online forums and having to deal with OTT reactionary postings and keyboard warriors who would debate 'black was white' until the cows come home. But, I would guess around 90% of those I do know (and thats several hundred ) would want Mourinho to stay. It would be interesting if the poll was broken down further or someone who has the knowledge and time makes a spreadsheet showing voting patterns in different genres such as age, male/ female, country, type of supporter such as match going on a full time basis, occassionaly, never etc etc etc I just seem to get the impression ( and its only my humble opinion ) that its the ones who are in the UK and go to matches are more likely to say yes to keeping him . Could well be wrong ...hence it would be interesting to see patterns. I dont mean this post as a pop at 'anti' Mourinho fans or fans who are not priviliged to be able to watch the team at Stamford Bridge
  19. its what Madrid do and are quite possibly the best club in the world at doing it. Their PR depts etc putting rumours in the media to unsettle players and turn their heads especially in times of weakness in another team like now with Chelsea. Hazard at the end of the day would be allowed to go if he really wanted to and at the right price.
  20. actually....mind reading is a speciality and you would need to be an expert in this case. But rather rich from you also, who had made a judgement call on me the other day, stating I wouldnt last long supporting the club as I had only joined here after our PL win in May. Something to do with I have Nigeria down as my country maybe ??? Schooled you a bit there sonny. Anyway, back on track...I have a feeling Jose is using smokescreens in regards to Hazard and the lad will be starting sooner rather than later P.S. the name was picked intentionally for this chat site. I am quite a large contributer on the official one but use to amuse myself watching the antics of you lot chucking molotov cocktails at each other on here before signing up myself
  21. wasnt abrupt at all....was merely asking a question as the reading of such matters can be a complex thing and not as obvious and simple as you make out to the untrained eye.Of course there is the added matter of also knowing any players personally ( which one or two on here do ) and so therefore be in a better place to make a judgement call on their general well being and character with slight changes in body language
  22. Are you an expert on body language and reading minds? If so...can you run through each player and give us an insight. Thanks.
  23. Baba needed more protection on the left hence Matic coming on.RLC had been ok and it could have been another player but Mourinho wanted to get the job done and close the game down. Experience counts here
