@hamad138 Manu also paid 67 mil for AdM to decorate their bench. With Depay incoming, AdM's place there has just been solidified. Not too depressed with this news. I mean, I would sure welcome Koke's signing but wouldn't lose any sleep over him not coming. Our pressing need is a RW and Koke isn't one.

@Tomo Yeah, that's so true. Ashley was such a great player for us and gave it his all during his stint here. And who can forget how he trolled the 4rsenal supporters? I am surprised that for some reason he is a lot less revered than the likes of Drogba, Lamps, Cech and Terry. Not saying that he deserves as much respect as these 4 legends but surely his name deserves to be mentioned in the same bracket.

@Henrique That's an unnecessary glorification of a great team. In that season, there were 11 1-0 results. Let's not pretend that the 04-05 team were a bunch of free flowing football goodness. They weren't. Their best trait was to kill off games after taking the lead. If anything, going by the stereotype, they were even more boring than the present one. In those days, if Chelsea managed to get the lead, the result was a foregone conclusion because Jose would shut up shop. Only reason we didn't get this "beautiful" and "exciting" BS back then is because it was our first title in 50 years and people were largely contemplating on the story of oil rich new footballing power in the scene. So, let's remember the greatness for what it was no what we perceive it to be. Now, onto the topic- it's not even a competition. 04-05 by far. They were the best ever defensive side PL has ever seen and probably will ever see. They were, unlike the present team, definitely among the top 3 sides in Europe.

Humility is too steep a price for sour grapes Pellegrini
Sosuke Aizen replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Chelsea Articles
Oh Pellegrino, don't be bitter. If you do manage to hang on to your job, which I hope you will, you will get to claim moral victory once again next May as we lift the title once again. -
More shocked about how Coutinho got in TOTY with 4 assists and Cesc couldn't get in with 17 (or 16 at the time)
-
Yep. 60 mil pounds. Has been flop of the season contender alongside Falcao and Balotelli.
-
Watched him against WBA today and well... horrific and abysmal don't even begin to describe how awful he was. He didn't have a good body language either. Doesn't help LvG is playing him on the left. We should stay 10 miles away from signing him (unless Utd accept a 20 mil bid. )

Mikel+cash for Schniederlin? That's a no-brainer. I wouldn't mind throwing in Cuadrado too.

Pre injury Gundogan's ability is unarguable but I am not sold on his form post injury. Throughout most part of this season, he has either been injured or lethargic. For rumored prices though, he is worth the gamble.
-
Oh come on... Slippy G should feel proud that he's going to get a chance to stand in guard of honor for our fabulous team. It's going to be one of the highlights of his career.

We were very good in the second half. Scored 3 goals, created 4-5 very good chances, didn't concede any goal, dominated possession and territory and didn't let them a snuff at our goal. What more can anybody ask for? People really need to give credit more. Anyways, I noticed many don't know the Fabregas chant here. For them, here's the lyrics- Fabregas is magic He wears a magic hat He could've signed for Arsenal But he said, "No, fuck that" He passes with his left foot And he passes with his right And when we win the league We will sing his song all night. For those who haven't seen it, please watch the youtube video. The tune is invasively catchy.
-
@Kezza The point of a chant is not about being accurate. And who knows? Wenger has already changed his story 10 times regarding why he didn't sign Fabregas.
-
Guys, give Eden a break. He's been bailing us out for the past 4 months. He's allowed to have 2-3 games off. He's probably tired. And btw, Fabregas is magic He wears a magic hat He could've signed for Arsenal But he said "No, fuck that" Chant is on!! :getin:

After this game, I think there's no doubt that Willian's best position is no.10 position. His strengths are wasted at RW. God, I love that burst of speed. Instantly takes out 2-3 players out of the equation when he's in the center. When he's out wide, at most he can take out 1 with his burst of speed.
-
Oh Drogba's touch
-
Lovely pass from Eden. Great pullback from Cesc. But Drogba's not sharp enough to read the play anymore. Or maybe he is, but his body isn't up to it.
-
Seeing Drogba like this... and people wonder why we have been cautious in the last 2-3 games.
-
If we win against 4rsenal, we can help them get back to their rightful place. Yeah, let's do this and set the universe back in order.

@supporter Let's not say Real Madrid only know how to kill the progress of players. CR7 became the beast he is today at RM, Di Maria became one of the world's best at RM and Ozil spent his best years also at RM. We have to be real here. RM's financial muscle and allure is greater than ours. If RM comes calling with a big offer, Pogba won't choose us. Absolutely no way. That, however, has its plus side. Pogba coming means Illaramendi will surely leave. Isco likely will too. Especially after the comments post AM match. We would probably be able to get him for not too hefty a price and IMO he will be an improvement over Oscar.
-
I am afraid RM don't need to sell to fund purchases unlike us. Even if they splash 200m this transfer window, they will still be well within FFP regulations because of their crazy revenue.

Ladies and Gents, first post here!! I so wish we could get Varane. We would've gotten him too if it weren't for the freak injury crisis Madrid are going through right now. If Madrid had their full XI fit, Varane would've spent the end of season on the bench, convincing him to move elsewhere. After the performance he put against AM, Real aren't going to sell and Varane will believe he has a chance to cement his place in XI. Unless Mou adds a personal touch like he did with Cesc, I can't see him coming. Even then RM won't be willing to sell, I think.
