  4. CHELSEA OUT TO BAG SERGIO AGUERO CHELSEA last night launched a stunning £50miIlion bid to sign Atletico Madrid goal ace Sergio Aguero – after it was revealed the player was close to joining Juventus. The Blues' dramatic move for Aguero, 23, comes as Atletico coach Gregorio Manzano warned mega-bucks Manchester City – who are also interested in the Argentina striker – to make an offer or face the prospect of having to meet his £45m release clause. Chelsea's bid is intended to blow everyone out of the water. If accepted it would mean that chairman Roman Abramovich has spent £100m on strikers this year, following on from his £50m capture of Fernando Torres, 27, from Liverpool. And with David Luiz, 24, also having joined the ranks for £20m in January, the Russian billionaire has not been shy with his cash as he targets winning the Champions League. Aguero, who has netted 74 goals in 175 appearances for Atletico, sparked a transfer frenzy earlier this month when he announced he wanted to leave the Vicente Calderon. Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the hitman, who is Diego Maradona's son-in-law, although none have come close to Atletico's valuation. Aguero looked set to snub a move to the Premier League in favour of Serie A and Juve – but the player is now reconsidering his options after the stunning offer from Stamford Bridge. His arrival in west London would cast serious doubt over the future of Chelsea's other strikers. Didier Drogba, 33, has been linked with Spanish club Malaga after a season plagued by injury. If Drogba stays, Frenchman Nicolas Anelka, 31, could be heading for the exit door to make room for Aguero and Torres. The plot thickens even further with the return of Daniel Sturridge, 21, from a loan spell at Bolton, where he scored eight goals in 11 games for the Trotters. It remains to be seen whether City will follow suit and launch a mega-bid to tempt Aguero to Eastlands. Newly-appointed Manzano sparked Chelsea's move yesterday when he warned interested clubs that they should do a deal before July 4 or face the prospect of matching Aguero's release clause. He said: "Until July 4, when our pre-season starts, we are able to negotiate for Aguero. "After this date, clubs that want to take him away will have to pay his release clause. "We have to impose ourselves on the market and so we need to know whether we can count on our strongest player." Aguero's departure will leave Atletico with a real headache. The future of his strike partner Diego Forlan, 32, is in doubt and highly-rated goalkeeper David de Gea, 20, is expected to join Manchester United as a replacement for Edwin van der Sar. Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma is set to join Hamburg on a two-year loan spell. The deal will see the Blues retaining the option to recall the Dutchman, 19, next summer. Bruma follows ex-team-mates Michael Mancienne, Gokhan Tore and Jacopo Sala to Hamburg, after the recent appointment of former Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen at the Bundesliga club. Arnesen played a pivotal role in the raid that's now seen Hamburg capture a fourth Chelsea youngster. 's agent, Wessel Weezenberg, is hopeful the move will give his client the chance to secure more regular first-team football.
  5. Chelsea attempt to hijack Juventus deal for £50m star Chelsea will launch a last-gasp 50m bid to sign Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero, after it was revealed the player was close to joining Juventus. The 23-year-old had been previously linked with a switch to Chelsea and Manchester City after telling Atletico Madrid that he wants to leave the Spanish club. But Aguero looked set to snub a move to the Premier League in favour of Serie A, but the player is now reconsidering his options after the Stamford Bridge outfit lodged a huge bid for his services. Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus had won the race to sign Aguero and hoped to announce his signing in the near future. However, Roman Abramovich has now resurrected his interest in the player, who will now make a decision on his future in the next few days. The Italian giants are believed to have met the 40m buy-out clause in his contract and were close to agreeing personal terms with the Argentine striker. It yet remains unseen whether City will follow suit and launch a mega-bid to sway proceedings once more.

  8. Rodwell on radar for London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham as United and City also lurk Chelsea are ready to rival Tottenham in their interest in Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell. Manchester City and Manchester United are also fans of the 20-year-old England Under 21 star, but are unsure about making an offer in this window. London calling: Both Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in Jack Rodwell Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants to bring in exciting young talent alongside experienced targets such as Luka Modric. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp wants a defender who can play in midfield and Rodwell, who started at centre half, fits the bill. Everton need money if they are to give David Moyes any semblance of a chance of breaking into the top five again next season and selling Rodwell, who is valued at £25million, represents their best chance. Hot property: Rodwell is currently playing for England Under 21s in Denmark Valencia have been linked with Mikel Arteta and Arsenal like Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka but Everton would want close to £20m each for their England defenders - making a deal unlikely. Chelsea have targeted other youngsters such as Anderlecht's Romelu Lukaku, Ajax's Christian Eriksen and Kevin de Bruyne of Genk. Spurs also still want Scott Parker and Brazilian starlet Damiao of Internacional.

  10. Chelsea considering mega-money swoop for Ajax ace Chelsea have stepped up their interest in Christian Eriksen and will send a scout to this summer's European Under-21 Championship to check his progress. The Ajax midfielder was the name on everyone's lips after England's friendly with Denmark back in February as he ran the show against Fabio Capello's men. Eriksen is seen as the hottest prospect in the Eredivisie and would cost a fortune this summer as his contract runs until 2014. Money, however, is no object at Stamford Bridge and Guus Hiddink - who is expected to move to Chelsea in some capacity this summer - is said to be keen on a string of young stars, of which Eriksen is one. The 19-year-old was wanted by Liverpool earlier in the season but Ajax were unwilling to do business. But now Chelsea have joined the chase, the Dutch club are mindful they could fetch a huge sum if they choose to cash in on him this close season. Source: talksport I hope that's true
  11. Problems not only in wages.Nasri criticizes Wenger and Arsenal too.I would prefer him over Kaka, Sneijder and others .

  14. Neymarrgh! CHELSEA have seen their hopes of landing Neymar spectacularly killed off — by the Brazil star's agent. Blues owner Roman Abramovich was thought to have tabled a £23million offer to bring him to Stamford Bridge. But Wagner Ribeiro blasted: "This is all speculation from Britain. It is absurd. "He does not want to, and will not, leave Santos. He is happy and focused on the Copa Libertadores." Ribeiro has told Chelsea they would have to cough up at least £40MILLION for his goal-machine client. Yet he insists even that eye-watering sum might not be enough to tempt Santos into selling. He added: "Of course he will arouse interest, that is just natural because of his performances on the field — but I guarantee you there is no proposal for him. "You have to pay £40m for him, yet Santos have to want to sell and now Santos do not want to." Read more: http://www.thesun.co...l#ixzz1O8tOOFVx
