  1. That's like saying without Salah's goals Liverpool wouldn't be the team they are. Sheffield United, Leicester and Wolves are overachieving we are not.
  2. Not sure he'd join us to be honest his Tottenham connections would split the fans completely, The hatred of Tottenham is very strong especially amongst the older fans who has to be said are the main core of our home support.
  3. Oh come on if you can't dominate territory against ten men then you're all kinds of shit. Having possession of the ball means fuck all if we lose out to champions league by two points it will be little comfort saying oh well at least we dominated possession against Arsenal. We should have slaughtered them bottom line is we didn't.
  4. No such thing I'm afraid even for Lampard. Spurs is massive on Saturday and could be a pivotal point in the season. None of us are expecting to beat Bayern Munich just hoping it's not a caning like Spurs got.
  5. As I've said earlier fans are letting their heart rule their head when it comes to Lampard that table that Jason posted makes horrific reading. Fact is if the last 14 games were the start of the season Lampard would be gone or under immense pressure. Lack of goals and lack of clean sheets if we lose to Spurs who will be out with their two best forwards on Saturday those mumerings will get louder.
  6. Not one of our managers has given a toss about bringing through young players Lamps had no choice in the matter. I can't see our next manager being anything but a pragmatic, experienced safe pair of hands.
  7. If there was no transfer ban Lampard wouldn't have been hired and the new manager would have loaned out Tammy, Mount and Tomori. If Lampard gets sacked or leaves definite chance they'll go back out on loan or even sold in a couple of seasons.
  8. Lampard is held in high esteem by Chelsea fans and rightly so. You only have to read it in posts fans are reluctant to slag him off they're holding back and I can understand that it almost feels disloyal to give a legend pelters. Not me though I'm old enough to have seen some terrible managers over the years and while Lampard isn't on that list he certainly isn't in the top bracket and personally I don't think he's got the minerals to be a top manager. The time has come to seperate Lampard the player and Lampard the manager because Lampard the manager looks pretty clueless and it's his legendary status that's keeping him in a job. Yes a transfer ban, injuries and last night's fiasco where the ref and all the var twats seemed to get collective blindness doesn't help but we are in freefall no question about it. Lose against Spurs and badly against Bayern Munich and he's in real trouble and I know fans will say give him time but it's Chelsea we support and having a revolving door of managers hasn't exactly hindered us when it comes to silverware.
  9. As I thought the previous two in 2000 and 1987 were Easter Monday and the August bank holiday. The 2000 one I was in Ireland for my niece's christening and had to watch it in a house full of Man U fans. I was at the 87 one at Old Trafford terrible Hillsborough type crush trying to get in. As for tonight I'm drunk and knackered and up early tomorrow so no time for a major rant or I'll be typing for an hour so goodnight everyone.
  10. I'm struggling to remember playing them on a Monday FB unless their including Boxing Day etc.
  11. Cup game a couple of a years ago when Kante scored wasn't that a Monday ?
  12. Ladies and Gentlemen, we are at war. Click to expand... Those fcuking history clubs are trying to ruin us 2 years = 200m lost revenue plus sponsors plus how our players will react to this and future signings! Frankly it’s a fcuking scam job because the scum are in deep trouble money wise if they don’t get champs league. Hope city take Uefa to the fcuking cleaners. Click to expand... Standing ovation for the anthem during the Madrid game. Click to expand... Now watch us get knocked out of the champions League by dubious decisions like in the last two seasons. They couldn't have the potential holders not being in it next season. Click to expand... There simply has to be a visible “feck UEFA” display at the Madrid home match. Click to expand... I think we should withdraw for ever. Click to expand... To all the people on here who say there's no agenda, join another forum and don't taint this one with your presence. Click to expand... Anything to get the rags back in the champions league. The Madrid game is gonna be fun now, let's give the ****s hell. Hopefully we grow some bollocks and fight back now instead of just taking shit. Click to expand... Good strong reply by the Club. I've never booed, but guess what, I'll be boooing from every orifice against Real Madrid. UEFA, you shithouses, you have just poked the hornets nest, prepare for the ramifications. You're going to feel the pain, a lot of pain, a lot of financial pain because we are going to rip you to pieces you corrupt pieces of shit. You hurt my club, you hurt me. This could be the kick up the arse us fans have all needed to get back to being one. Let the fun begin. Click to expand... Watch out, we got a badass here. It's not a f**kin' anthem - it's a jingle. And a nicked one at that. I'm guessing all the 'non-booers' have come to their senses; let 'em have it. I was never bothered about this comp, but I'd absolutely love to win it now. Expect every goal to be disallowed - it's gonna be Bedlum! Click to expand... BENT AS feck. Click to expand... If you’ve never booed, or being one go those people who have always been against booing, the you’re a fecking mug. These ****s have always been out to get City. Ever since Mansour and Khaldoon threatened to crash the cozy top four party and Europe’s elite, we’ve been public enemy number one. I hope we feck them over in court, but something tells me they’ll get away with it. Click to expand... Thanks for your insightful reply, you mug. You do what you want to do and I'll do what I want to do. If people have wanted to boo in the past then I've been happy to watch them, I've not wanted to join in, I'm not a sheep, I do what I want to do, when I want to do it, and now I choose to boo, so mug off. Click to expand... 50000 plastic whistles anyone for the Madrid home game ? Click to expand... No they can't be plastic, the scousers will make fun. Click to expand... We should form our own European competition. With blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the competition. It just becomes a pissing competition about how outraged they can be one fan says something so another ups the ante. To be honest you'd expect this sort of reaction like I said rather them than us.
  13. The best thing about the City scandal is for once it doesn't involve us so we can sit back and enjoy the carnage.
  14. Totally agree and I mentioned it before but we could quite easily get into a Scottish league scenario where one team dominates or for old geezers like me back to Liverpool in the 70's -80's. Fair play to both clubs and I don't want to sound condescending but Wolves and especially Sheffield United can get promoted and thrive in the league it's part talent and good coaching and part it's a piss poor massively overrated league.
  15. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11934136/the-new-hakim-ziyech-two-year-old-chelsea-fan-teddy-brown-leaves-internet-stunned
  16. United will be singing non stop songs about it on Monday. It's definitely going to derail them even if it's just for the short term. Pep's pressers will be be one word yes and no answers like Avram Grant in 2008, the players will refuse to answer questions and Sterling will get a tattoo of a gun pointing at the UEFA symbol
  17. I agree but PSG slimed their way out and so will City. They won't get the two year ban and the fine it will be reduced I'm 100% positive in that.
  18. Corrupt club gets banned by corrupt organisation you can bet your life it will be partially rescinded if not completely they'll pay the fine and that will be that.
  19. I've just watched the documentary about racism on the BBC Iplayer obviously racism is abhorrent that's a given and it is on the rise courtesy of the rabid right wing press and idiotic keyboard warriors. But on to the Chelsea part of the show well it's not exactly hold the front page news it's a handful of pissed up middle aged and old blokes singing anti Spurs songs. One of the geezers was singing a song about Martin Chivers who played for Spurs in the early 70's and he was the only one singing it I must admit I'd never heard it sung before and the bloke looks an absolute thundercunt. You've only got to look at this forum to see that our support is worldwide and mostly young people and as someone who watched Chelsea when it was a breeding ground for racists these sort of old blockheads who follow Chelsea will soon be gone forever. Our away support is nearly all young people now which is great but our home support is the oldest in the league go to Stamford Bridge and you'll see nothing but bald blokes wearing glasses !. It is noticeable that all incidents of racism occur when Chelsea play abroad. Something seems to happen to English people when they go abroad they turn into knuckle dragging xenophobes whether watching football or just going on holiday.
  20. So we're signing a midfield player who's team got to the semi-final of the Champions League lets hope he's not another Bakayoko ! Not a serious post so please don't give me pelters
  21. No offence son but if a German is watching the Scotland U21 team then you're spending far to much time watching football.
  22. I don't watch any European football at all I've zero interest in it so my question is this is Sancho that good and worth spending possibly our whole transfer budget on one player in the Summer ?. I've seen him play for England and he looks ok nothing to suggest he's worth £100 million quid though.
  23. A 18 year old making his debut as a sub for 20 minutes and you're writing him off I've never heard something so ridiculous. How the fuck can someone be called ordinary when you've seen him play for 20 minutes. Who's next for your appraisal Stamford the Lion's performance pre match ordinary, hot dog seller didn't put enough onions on ordinary. DJ's choice of songs ordinary, ball boys ordinary, you're assessment of Gilmour extraordinary !.
  24. This might have been posted already. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51426473
  25. Your're right about the fee but it doesn't mean he won't be replaced. If he doesn't start against United then his days as number one are over.
