  1. Nothing pisses me off more than a football club ripping off their fans. Glad that fans told the club to do one and in no uncertain terms. I despise West Ham but even I feel a bit of sympathy for the way their fans have been treated especially with them moving to that soulless bowl of a ground. Mind you I'd piss myself laughing if they get relegated.
  2. Kepa just hasn't got the minerals to be a top keeper and a goalkeeping coach can improve him but not to the level he needs to be. He's got no presence he doesn't command his area is always rooted to his goal line and the amount of times he's beaten by a long range shot or gets hands to the ball but can't prevent it going in is staggering. Posters are saying left back, centre forward etc well a new keeper is also a priority in the Summer.
  3. I forgot how terrible the B side was ! even if Stuart Pearce's favourite band The Lurkers are on it who were a second division punk band
  4. As I've said in a previous post if he makes a mistake against United or Spurs (especially them) he will get the treatment off the fans and his confidence will be shot to pieces. Personally I wouldn't play him for the foreseeable future apart from the fa cup Willy is just a better option at the moment which isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. Still think the league cup final debacle was the biggest act of petulance I've ever seen on a football pitch and made Sarri look an utter tit it wasn't brave it was foolhardy and embarrassing.
  5. He's never going to get three years the way things are going he'll be lucky to get three months. One of the biggest cliches but it's ultimately true that football is a results business and if results are going badly then your out it doesn't matter what your stature at the club is. We've seen double winning managers sacked, a champions league manager sacked, our most successful manager in our history sacked, a world cup winner sacked. Lampard should get this season and if the club back him in the transfer market in the summer and by christmas things aren't going well he'll be out. I'm not anti Lampard nor am I a Lampard apologist If we don't get top four he'll be under severe pressure especially as we've had a decent lead on the team in fifth place and not capitalised on it.
  6. People can spin it anyway they want but that makes awful and worrying reading.
  7. Man City's support is shockingly bad all I've heard is one chant of blue moon. All the big clubs home support is quiet these days but away it's different not in City's case though shit at the Empty Had and shit away.
  8. Reminds me of a Jasper Carrot story. He was in the States when he noticed his friend's reg plate spelt B O L O X 356 so he started laughing. His friend asked what he was laughing at so he told her and rather than tell her it was a swear word he told her it was English slang for zits. A couple of years later the friend was in the UK on holiday and when she met up with JC she started calling him a limey bastard and how could you do this to me ?. He said woah slow down what have I done ? She said '' I've just been in Boots the chemist with my teenage son and in front of a big queue I pointed at his face and said to the assistant have you got anything for the bollocks on my son's face ''
  9. Form team apart from the top two and dark horses to get fourth are Everton. As it stands only a point behind Man United and Spurs.
  10. Dale Jasper who played for us in the 80's died yesterday aged 56 only a couple of years older than me. It has to be said he's mainly remembered for giving away two penalties against Sunderland in the league cup semi final in 1985. He replaced Joe McLaughlin who got injured that night and big Joe and Colin Pates were such a good partnership it would have been hard to just slot in especially in such a big game . The second leg was pure mayhem and was probably the most violent night I've ever witnessed at the Bridge. RIP Dale. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/01/31/dale-jasper-1964-2020
  11. In August Tomo started this thread 166 pages later we have our answer who Chelsea's transfer targets are fucking no one.
  12. I've been thinking this as well. It's clear the squad needs new faces ban lifted and nothing something doesn't feel right.
  13. I remember telling this girl at work a couple of years ago that once in the 80's I did some of my christmas shopping on christmas day. I said to her the only places open were the garage and the local west indian shop so I bought some driving gloves and a six pack of Super Tenants as presents. ''She said to me you're joking you're not being serious'' I said ''yeah I wasn't telling the truth it was a six pack of special brew it's a far superior drink''
  14. Our transfer policy seems to be exactly like a man doing his christmas shopping. Last minute, drunk and ending up with something nobody wants.

  16. I actually listened to it on the radio I've never watched the one show and I'm not going to start now just because the cup draw is on it. The Cup Final was an event in black and white telly days now it's just another football match. Back in the 70's when I grew up cup final three o' clock only three channels and the pubs were shut and most people had Monday- Friday jobs. Totally different now times change and things move on only the BBC are clinging on to the magic of the fa cup bollocks.
  17. That was Arsenal FB who played Sheffield Wednesday five times twice at Filbert Street ! Of course we played them in 85 (Milk Cup what a poxy name ) the Canoville game and then beat them in the replay.which ended up being the third game.
  18. I was brought up a few miles from Wembley the best thing about it was it was so easy to bunk into. . Saw loads of England internationals as a kid although we gave the England- Scotland games a swerve you could hardly see the pavement because of the empty cans of McEwans tartan bitter !
  19. I do think it lost something when it was played in Wales it didn't feel right somehow. But semi finals at Wembley are taking the piss fair enough Spurs-Arsenal in 91 but then us against Luton in 94 same year Mancs against Oldham. My mate is a Villa fan and he said we should have beaten you in 2010 semi final I completely forgot about it we've played so many recently.
  20. That poxy ticker tape when the cup is lifted you can't even see the players. X factor rejects singing abide with me they're trying to turn into the Superbowl and it looks ridiculous was it Tinchy Stryder one year and a monumental cock up with the sound ?
  21. I have to agree even though it hurts to say so . The fa cup has been completely usurped not by the premier league but the champions league when four teams are chasing all season to get a place the fa cup is largely an unwanted distraction. The fa cup is dying on it's arse I wish more fans would admit it.The worse offenders are the BBC they keep coming out with the cliche the magic of the fa cup that might have been true but when Man United refused to play in it and played in a tinpot exhibition match that's when some of it's lustre died funny enough we won it that year. The fa cup used to be great the 82 season when we beat Liverpool and narrowly lost to Spurs was brilliant especially as we were so shit then. Every away game we played in the cup we bought thousands usually more than we would have for a league match most clubs did. Now fans don't even turn up for home fa cup games and who can blame them if you're a season ticket holder at Reading or Doncaster if you have to pay again.
  22. He's been seen with Lord Lucan and Shergar
  23. It is a weird one alright we were threatening legal action if it wasn't overturned and now nothing. It's like getting done for drunk driving you're counting down the days till the bans lifted and when it is you don't bother driving anymore.
  24. He was but there wasn't much competition to be honest .
