  1. I read somewhere that he's willing to lower his wages so he can join Arsenal. It's probably because he knows he'll be a starter there. The guy's still only 27. If his injuries are sorted, he can be a good buy for any team.
  2. He needs a lot of work on his attacking skills if he wants to remain in this team. Defensively solid but needs to improve more if he wants to remain a starter.
  3. We missed him tremendously yesterday. Hope he's back soon.
  4. My thoughts on the game United played better than they have for most of the season. Their initial plan was to harry us and not allow us to settle. It worked to a large extent. Chelsea deserved a penalty with both Smalling grabbing Ivanovic and Rojo holding Terry. No excuses for not giving it. Chelsea were targeted unfairly with fouls. United committed their fair share but got off lightly. Matic and Courtois were the stand out performers. Without Courtois' saves, we might have lost the game. Great to see Drogba score but overall did not have a good game. There were a lot of times we had a break but then had to hold up play because he wasn't in a good position. A draw is better than a loss. We still have a six point lead over City, which is more than at the start of the weekend.
  5. That United line-up looks way too attacking. And these are not the kind of guys who do a lot of tracking back. I'm feeling good about the game.
  6. I'm feeling confident because we have a manager who prepares for each game and doesn't set his team up to play the exact same way every match. Chelsea have to dominate the midfield. I don't think we will have a problem scoring in this game. I'm curious to see the United setup.
  7. He's just waiting to batter United today.
  8. He hasn't signed for them yet. but I suppose they'll offer him a huge salary so it's a draw.
  9. City are currently trailing West Ham. Hope this continues.
  10. Even if you look at the current form of both teams, a Chelsea win is a realistic expectation. And based on our offense against their defense so far this season, it's fair to say they will concede at least 2 goals. We need to go all out for the win here. It's about maximising our lead at the top of the table so that we have a good cushion once the busy Christmas season comes around.
  11. Gives a whole new meaning to the term 'Eat your greens' .
  12. Well, he doesn't speak English so he has to find a way to get his point across .
  13. I haven't seen a single photo where he looks young
  14. With United's current defense, Chelsea will definitely score. If Leicester can put 5 past them........
  15. Pogba has been one of the the best midfielders in Serie A. And he's what 21? So yeah, he's pretty good. Just because Chelsea are doing well right now doesn't mean they can't improve the team. And someone like Pogba would be a good long-term purchase.
  16. If Remy's out, then Costa plays. No doubt about it.
  17. Yeah, it will be the same 'Costa is not fit' line for sure
  18. The new contract makes it all the more likely that Juventus are open to selling him. And it depends on the player too. But let's face it, the Italian league isn't what it used to be.
  19. I like Sterling. I think he's one of the form players right now and looks like he'll get better. Doesn't mean Chelsea need to buy him.
  20. Cech is probably the only person who may want to leave in Jan.
  21. If we don't have fit strikers, I'd rather go with Schurrle. He's played as a striker before and he will get enough chances to score with our midfield. I'd be interested to see how the team is set up. Mourinho is definitely going to try and nullify their attacking threats first. So expect a packed midfield.
  22. Ivanovic would be my choice for captain. Doesn't matter if he'll be captain only for a few years. What matters is leadership on the pitch and he has it.
