  1. How is it possible that every corner of them was this dangerous. Iva, Cahill, Terry, Zouma, Diego and Drogba on the pitch. And a keeper of 2m (& no Zlatan). They could've scored four instead of 2. Very very dissapointed but to be honest our style of play was to be expected (and not wrong imo), the only real chance was the 1vs1 of Cavani. Many will disagree but without the corner threat we would have progressed for sure. Might be the first thing I'm really blaming Mourinho for: the setup of defending set-pieces today.
  2. Hint: he made a tackle when he still was a Chelsea player. So he's banned for 3 matches.
  3. Lol, PSG haven't lost at home all season and won from Barca. We play 1-1 there with the home leg still waiting: meltdown over here. Great result. I don't care about the way we got it, never did in the past and not starting now. Anyway calling it luck is far too easy. We almost never lose a game with this tactic, but apparently we're always lucky then.
  4. Ivanovic should have a 'Why always me' shirt
  5. And the 2 games before that Courtois was MOTM (liverpool away and at home), while Bradford scored 4 against Cech at the bridge. But you are right, both great goalkeepers. I personally think it's a good thing Courtois plays, even if he makes mistakes he needs the trust right now.
  6. Try at home: open your mouth max. 0.5 inch and try to bite something that's in front of you. Also I've never seen somebody head butting with his chin and I think that's the only part of his head where he actually hit Mccarthy?
  7. Sad to see him go, but probably best for his career. Hope he will be happy and successful at Wolfsburg. Great goodbye message from him on Instagram as well: https://instagram.com/p/ypNEBMAL2l/" andreschuerrle 1 uur geledenI want to thank everyone at Chelsea FC for the amazing time I had at this great club!! It's been a real pleasure to wear this shirt!! Thank you so much to all the fans for the great support and love you showed me!! All the best to the team, I hope you can win everything!! Great people!! And now I'm looking forward to be successful with my new team and club!!! Can't wait to play:)) #thankyou @chelseafc @vfl.wolfsburg
  8. I think the Cuadrado-deal is already done, we're only stalling because Schurlle-Wolfsburg is not agreed yet. And it would weaken or bargaining position to already announce Cuadrado (Schurrle replacement) if Schurrle outgoing is not agreed yet. Would be very surprised if we were to announce another incoming transfer today, except maybe calling Atsu back.
  9. Not the best thoughts off course, but I'm secretly wondering what will happen if we lose this game by refereeing misstake. If the official website is shitting the FA now already, I cannot even imagine what will happen then.
  10. Agree with your whole post, except with the examples you give. I can understand why those aren't investigated afterwards (even think it's not possible?). Better example imo was in the first leg: I don't think one paper/pundit/tv station even adressed it. But with the 'stamp' (which wasn't one) they are all crying over themselves.
  11. We should appeal with a 50-hour video message about all the inconsistenties, incidents in this year, expert opinions on stamps etc. Goodluck reaching a verdict before the City game
  12. Couldn't agree more. Did you wrote this ? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/15116/9684301/chelsea-striker-diego-costa-is-willing-to-overstep-the-mark-to-win-but-thats-what-jose-mourinho-loves-about-him
  13. What should he have done in that situation? Didn't see the goal back yet, but I thought it made sense what he did there. Sterling was on full speed running on him, by backing off and not making a challenge he didn't risk fouling him (possible penalty and red card for sure). And fouling would've been very likely, since in that situation even a little bit of contact is enough if you miss the ball (like with a keeper on one vs ones). By backing off he made sure there was no space behind him, so Sterling couldn't get past him and he had a chance to block the shot or at least make it harder, giving Courtois a better change. Obviously Sterling finish was great and not saying it was ideal, but like I said I think it made sense what he did. Cahill had some horrible performances last weeks, but I actually thought this was one of his better games. Had one great interception and I blame Mikel/Matic organisation more for the goal then him.
  14. Wow very negative reaction here. With the knowledge that you play a semi final over 2 legs a 1-1 away result is not bad at all.. But if you read the reactions here you would think that we've lost 5-0. People tend to forget games easily, we just won 0-5 away at Swansea but 3 days later Mourinho is 'pathetic in away games'. We opened up against Spurs (and earlier in the season Everton), we got 5 goals against us. For me that justifies his tactic in away games or at least I can understand it (in a two-legged semi-final). One thing that worried me was the space between defence and midfield. You would think an extra DM (Mikel) would solve this, but with the goal Sterling had a lot of space to make his run. Matic trying to save, but was too wide and therefore too late (not saying that is his mistake). Maybe even he was too wide because we had two defensive midfielders.. And also when Gerrard hit the post, I think both defensive midfielders where within a few yards of the goals. And no one at the edge of the box, not the first time that happened. I think there is too much space in that area, it must be possible to improve that.
  15. Great interview. Think it wasn't posted here as a video yet. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2evg0l_terry-i-want-to-finish-my-career-here_sport
  16. If you have AceStream, this one is working for me: acestream://b3b3048acd53c5881894065fdda3785db1ff37d3 German commentary unfortunately.
  17. Looking at these numbers makes our transfer policy of 2014 even more phenomenal. We got what we need, improving our squad massively and making a profit of 18m in the process. A profit that was necessary to comply with FFP, but still we sold players for a very good price (probably more than they were worth) and got players who are all a succes and whose value is increased. I'm not exaggerating when I say it is the most remarkable piece of transfer business I've ever seen by a topclub. I mean by this; getting what you need, selling what you want and for the price you want and this all with the knowledge that you had to sell. And because of this profit complying with FFP will be considerably easier for the coming years. The loss of 2012/2013 'counts' for the last time this season. While in 2015/2016 (starting per 1 July 2015) and 2016/2017 we can spend more because of the profit this year.
  18. Not his biggest fan, but Willian; the quick corner was absolute class. Definitely made this game a lot easier, great save from Cech as well and in the 2nd half a Diego on fire. That action deserved a goal (one with the Coloccini save).
  19. Probably, but still a Zouma mistake is much easier to accept.
  20. Fuck the FA. Don't know if they have anything to do with it, but I still blame them.
  21. My remark of the 2nd Spurs goal was an answer to Oscar, because I disagree with him saying that Willian had a decent game yesterday. But DH1988 you're only reading the Willian thread? Cahill and Iva are slaughtered after yesterday and Matic is criticised as well. And to say it here again: Willian wasn't the worst player yesterday indeed. I'm not criticising Willian for yesterday, but for his 20 matches this season. And I don't think we will agree, because we expect different things from Willian as a right winger. For me he is in a position where he has to contribute in attack and that's just not the case. You name Willian's strong points and I agree with them, but again it's just not what I expect from our right winger. And as I said I don't think the balance in our squad will be gone with a right winger who is more dangerous, but with less work rate. And yes Willian will probably improve with Azpi behind him instead of Iva, but I doubt he will become a scoring/assisting player and we lack one of those types imo.
  22. Are you serious? It's acceptable that your right winger, one of the 3 most attacking players in the team, has no contribution at all in attack? Not only no assists and goals (apart from one in the Aston Villa game at home), but he is just hardly involved in any dangerous attack at all. That's maybe acceptable if you are one of the back 5 but not as RW, however even JT proved more valuable in attack then Willian. Also in an attacking position you have defensive responsibilities and it is great Willian puts in a great effort in those, but it is nonsense that without Willian we have no balance in our squad. Btw I agree that Willian is in general good in tracking back, but the 2nd Spurs goal was scored by their left back with Willian nowhere near him.
  23. Mourinho, again, has a point with the fouling on Hazard. Foul in the first half of Vertonghen on him, could break his ankle; just a freekick and not even a card if i remember correctly. And btw love to see Reus here, but with the fouls Hazard gets every game..
