Mourinho in his first season for any club manages to get to the top four. Say what you want about Tottenham but they have a better squad overall. I would be surprised if Tottenham does not end up making the top four, especially when they've signed decent players. There's no point panic buying now, I've already said that Chelsea are likely to not sign anyone three weeks ago. If they were going to sign someone they should've had talks with clubs before January to prepare for the transfer window. I wished we signed world class players but our board are incredibly clueless and to sign someone now after all this time would just be a waste of money. I'm not trying to be pessimistic but I truly believe that we are not going to make the top 4 at the end of the season. There's nothing the board could do about it because it's too late, they've brought this on themselves.

What baffles me even more is that there are some that believe we don't need anyone and we'll still be able to make top four. If anyone geniunely thinks that we'll be able to get top players in the summer without playing in the Champions League next season, then they're deluded. Has Chelsea become a poor club? Surely we can invest around 50-80m now and 200-250m in the summer? We desperately need a leftback and a centreback, otherwise the club is moving backwards yet again. Average players? I don't think that the only available leftbacks are average to be honest. Both Benfica and Porto got knocked out of the Champions League and both of these teams have two of the best leftbacks in the world in Grimaldo and Telles. I rate both of them higher than Chilwell who doesn't want to leave in January. What bothers me is the lack of movement from the board in trying to actually sign what we need right now. If no one good is available, cool. But I don't even see a single rumour of us trying to sign a leftback.

I'm thinking the exact same thing, out of everythinf we need a left back the most. If the board and Lampard think that we'll be fine with Alonso and Emerson for the rest of the season then they are clueless.

We need Reece James and Mount in the second half. It's so annoying to see this team play differently than usual. We usually put a lot of pressure, however I've seen us drop back numerous times. I hope Lampard tells them to put pressure.

I personally think that Jorginho is good at what he does and that is to keep the ball and to pass to the right players. However he is horrible off the ball which worries me, it got me thinking that playing him in a 4-2-3-1 formation simply doesn't work. I think that Kovacic has been superb in the last few games and we should let Kovacic play with Kante instead.
