Actually no info on that. I asked the same thing, but isn't very far from Wembley? And if that is a Chelsea FC hotel, why would he stay there. It makes 0 sense. I mean, I don't believe it, but just curious.

Just saying,Gazzeta are unreliable. Calciomercato seem the most reliable. I am not saying we've had the bid accepted, just calm down.
-
The news I posted earlier is from the Metro. So take it with a pinch of salt. Thing is, only they are reporting it.
-
Rumours of his agent being in London to close the deal.

Simple. You asked if Mustafi is lesser to Christensen. Bear in mind, Christensen has only 1 professional season with Gladbach, so although his hype is real and he is really good, he is still yet to reach a bigger level. If that happens, he definitely has the higher ceiling out of the two, although we'll see if that's true.(Not doubting Andreas). Compared to Mustafi, who is a certified World cup winner playing, even if he played at left back. He has 3 very good seasons with Sampdoria and Valencia respectively and he's already one of the if not best, let's say very good defenders in the world. Given the need for a CB addition and his relatively cheap price, even if he isn't going to become better than Christensen(if he fulfills his full potential), at current situation, he is definitely a need. So, basically, it was something like, the new Ronaldo(GJ) better than current hyped up version(Neymar)? It isn't a 100% dead on comparison, but I couldn't think of anything better in the heat of the moment.
-
Is Gabriel Jesus better than Neymar? Really stupid question given the situation. No offence intended.

Let's keep things on topic, please. So far, we know that concrete interest comes from us, Arsenal and Milan. We all know we can outbid, if need be, all three. Question is, where would he prefer to come? And will we bid the needed amount. Reports running around we'll bid 30 mil. euro for him, which is apparently what Valencia want, in order to balance with FFP. I'd say do it as fast as you can, we've waited on Koulibaly long enough.
-
Finally, sense has been spoken, how I've longed for something like this.
-
Is it just me, or would a midfield three of Kante, Fabregas, Chalobah be SO good. Maybe Nathaniel is a late bloomer or just works hard for the team. But, it would be ideal to see them like that. At least, if the first two play to their usual standars and the other keeps his good performances coming.
-
People forget he is making his first steps in PROFESSIONAL football. Let him grind out his mistakes. He'll only learn from them.
-
Actually the reports are of a new 40 mil. pound bid from us. Multiple journalist questioning whether he'll resist the amount offered.
-
Replacing useless Oscar and Matic with one of the biggest prospects in the b2b position. Exciting to say the least.
-
Can see your point, but given how desperate we really maybe on offloading him, any price would do. Plus Inter don't have the resources the clubs you mentioned have.
-
http://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/exclusive-romano-oscar-the-idea-of-inter-a-plot-by-kia-973996 The ever reliable Fabrizio Romano says we are asking for 35 mil. euro for him , BUT have not denied any deal and that he is for any sale, so his agent is working on the deal. Inter want him.

I've maintained this stance for a couple of months now, maybe even when his bad spell started, so don't slate me when saying this, that I won't be that sad to see the back of Diego. Don't get me wrong, when on form, his liabilities are well hidden and he manages to bully the defence, without actually showing his limited play, but when he has an off day... MY GOD. The first thing, in my humble opinion, never keep an unhappy player. Guy doesn't want to be here or wants a better team, completely and truly understandable. Pay us a fee of 40-45-50 mil. pounds and well be off on your new adventures. Why keep someone against their will? They don't want to play for you anymore, that's fine. It's normal for a footballer. He has different views, as any other human being and he wants something else or something he used to have, in this case being Atleti. I'd sell him. Ofcourse, not for Lukaku and his ridiculous price tag, but who else do we really have as an option. Second, I don't have the time to actually roll around the pages with my old post, but I've always said he's limited, so I am not gonna waste too much time. His first touch, heading, even using his strength is not something he is good at. If he has an off day his finishing lets him down too. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact he was tapping the badge when he equalised against MU, or how goes berserk every time he scores. But? What More? I, personally, dislike his technical ability, and would be okay for selling him. I think, ME Personally, that he can be replaced.

I'd argue selling Oscar, Matic and Costa would be an okay thing for us. This is on Matic. How much money would we generate? We're already playing a 4-2-4, maybe just sign one more midfielder, who is old, experienced and would just take a bit part role if Kante or Fabregas get injured. Chalobah and RLC can clear Mikel's role and one of Fabregas's or Kante's. Matic is a bit part player. He was amazing when he came, riding the high wave, now we've all seen his flaws. And this is us, the fans, who barely know the game...I mean, if a manager, who is dedicated top notch and analyses his game will know how to press him up the pitch, show him onto his weaker foot and be a nuisance to his game. Not to mention the fact, he is slow and while we may switch to a 3 man midfield, which for him would be ideal, it doesn't look the deal and he may know that, BIG time. Kante IS superior to him, in every way, except MAYBE in the air. And I'm saying maybe, because lots of times, when Matic has had to deal with the ball in the air, he has misplaced the pass, had a risky header, etc. Selling Matic would be an okay thing, one we can easily deal with, mainly because if we have the right options on the market, which we do, we could easily dispose of a limited player, for a nice fee, making a profit, while NOT having to deal with his potential moans on and off the pitch, if he stays. Something I doubt would happen under Conte, but still..
-
Exactly what I am implying. Question is getting the bid accepted. At least, for now, Everton are accepted.
-
It's just a small part. I mean, the main idea is, Koulibaly has seen Conte's success in Italy. He knows what he can get with Antonio. What can he get at Everton? The new generation of footballers has lived with seeing us win a lot of trophies, and given the fact he' has a 99% guaranteed starting spot, I doubt he'd take 20k more so to heart. Plus he'd make up for it in bonuses.
-
Read it somewhere. We can't know for sure.
-
Conte convicen Kante to come here, after he: - was a BPL champion - Is an Arsenal fan - Had interest from other top clubs with CL Ya think he can't do the same with Koulibaly who's seen his success in Italy and knows he wants him? Come on, people, don't talk when there is no concrete reason to moan.
-
Reports from Italy saying the big transfer could happen, IF Napoli bag Maksimovic, which is close. We'll see in the next few days.
-
Napoli are looking at getting a replacement centre back. If they get one, ala Maksimovic, then they will probably sell Koulibaly. Words from David Amoyal, when I asked him.
-
Every defender has them, in a different way. For example, losing his marker etc. What I'm saying is Koulibaly stays static for a second or two more as the other player receives the ball, no matter if behind him or not. He makes up for it in pace, but it does tend to happen sometimes. Still, he IS the best option in the current market. There is NO one else, who we can buy, that is available, that we can persuade, that is of his quality.
-
There is NO defender, currently, worth such an amount. Thing is, we can't find a lesser option. Mustafi would cost his clause(50mil. euro), Lindelof is a bit raw, although I like him. So, Koulibaly is definitely worth the amount. Thing is, he will either be another Mangala, although I doubt it(Conte knows how to tutor defences) or he'll turn world class. He has these lapses of concentration, but for raw pace, intelligence and tackling, he is amazing. What I would agree is that he has 1 good season behind him, where he improved massively. He has always showed glimpses of potential, but Sarri's coaching made him turn into something else. Question is, can he keep it up, or better yet, imrpove even more. Looks like the second, but depends if England will suit him well. For that amount, I'd say yes. Anything more than 40 mil. is overpaying for a big enough risk , as it is.
