  1. Yeps, just check Shitty when they could not break down a wall, Yaya Toure scored from outside the box. This is always a big advantage to have.
  2. Don't think Mou will rest Eden because after the Burnley game players have 7 days to recover until the final against Spurs.
  3. Don't think we played on the counter last season vs Stoke and this season against Everton.
  4. Agree, and he's now better for the team because he only needs to do where he is good at: interceptions, tackles, cover others, recovering balls and give it to Hazard/Cesc/Matic, rush forward when he's space, finish chances. Last year he tried too much because we had no creativity and clear playmaker, so he tried to be that creative player from deep which he isn't.
  5. "Wolfsburg is perhaps a lesser a club and I thought about it long before accepting," Schurrle told Bild. "I could have stayed at Chelsea, Mourinho wanted me to, he told me I'd get chances again. "I consulted the German coach Joachim Low about Wolfsburg and he said that it would be a great destination for me." Bild
  6. Madridistas slating Mourinho as the ''semifinal one'' is such a disgrace, before Mourinho went to Real they were a complete joke in Europe. They didn't qualify for the quarter finals for 7 years, eliminated by the likes of Lyon. After he came they reached it 3 years in a row. - First year against a super Barca was difficult, I also remember the easy red cards given to Real. - Bayern wasn't better at all, Real should have reached the final. Lost with penalties, but if Real was there, I am not sure we'd have won the CL , so better for us. - Dortmund, it was his final year and at the time around April the atmosphere was already really bad, plus Pepe had his worst game in years. With us in his first spell he had some bad luck too: - 2005: Ghost goal of Garcia. - 2007: Penalties again, lost against Liverpool. So instead of slating him as the ''semifinal one'', people could also call him the specialist in the competition. He's been in the last 4 of this competition 8/10 seasons as a CL team manager, that's 80%. How many coaches have this percentage? He's won it twice too, papers like Dailymail should shut up about him and we as Chelsea fans should be proud to have this CL specialist.
  7. Don't think we should be too negative about this result, we have our away goal which is very important. Obviously we weren't in top form, we were outplayed a bit in the 2nd half due to our lack of form and not totally because of their strengths. - Cesc and Costa: our key players of the season haven't started a game in 2-3 weeks. Cesc came on against Everton but he was ill after that for 3 days, so injured and sick. Have you ever seen him misplacing so many passes? Costa hasn't played for 3 games in a row, last time he was injured he had the same thing, needed some game time to come back to his best. Burnley will be a good game for him to regain his fitness and for Cesc to add some assists to his total. - Hazard: PSG clearly had a game plan for Hazard: kick him, foul him, stop him with 3 man. It was so clear that even Zlatan had fouled Hazard once where he should have been given a yellow card, same goes for Luiz. Hopefully from now on people will receive cards for this kind of play, Eden indeed need some protection from the refs. - Cahill: Not sure what it is with him, last season he was very stable and solid at what he does. Now he is making mistake after mistake, he might be having a confidence problem, Zouma should start to get some away games too and must start against Spurs in the final. - Counter attacks: counter-attacks has always been the biggest weapon of Mourinho teams. Somehow our current team doesn't perform very well at it yet, our latest counter attacking goal in a big away game was Schurrle's goal against City, no? (miss him) I think Cuadrado can help us with this aspect when merged into the team, we basically have all the ingredients for this play. (Cesc, Costa, Hazard) - Mourinho set-up in away games: I still think the team we saw yesterday is the best team we have for big games, I'd only replace Zouma with Cahill. We need Ramires next to Matic to cover the ground which Cesc can't do in big games. Unless we have an upgraded version of Ramires, he should always play. Cesc is very good, he just need one pass or one brilliant moment to decide a game. We haven't lost one difficult away game with this midfield trio: Everton 3-6, City 1-1, Liverpool 1-2 (Rami played on the wing but helped those 2). Wtih Cesc in the pivot in those games, we've seen us being dominated in midfield (United 1-1, Spurs 5-3, Newcastle 2-1). Against Spurs in the final, we definitely need Ramires-Matic-Cesc. We will finish this at home, have some confidence.
  8. Think Willian will be rested, so we might see Hazard Oscar Cuadrado behind Costa.
  9. Cech Iva Zouma JT Luis Cesc Matic Cuad Willian Hazard Diego

  12. Battle of Brazilians? Maxwell, Silva, Marquinhos, Luiz, Willian, Ramires, Diego (Oscar, Luis)
  13. Personally I wanted to see Luiz as their cb (error prone). At midfield he makes them stronger. With Matic and Ramires, I feel comfortable though.

  15. Hi Supporter, big friend of this forum. Thank you for all your quality posts, I've almost liked all of them because they are so good! I'm also a big big Mourinho fan since his first spell at Chelsea and have watched all his Inter and Madrid matches. In his final year at Madrid almost all the players turned against Mourinho, I tried to find out who didn't do that and have concluded these players: - Oezil, thanked him via FB + hugged him after first march at Arsenal and called him "the best manager and like a father" - Khedira, made a photo collage and posted it on FB. - Alonso, who said the Mourinho's method was like his fathers - Arbeloa, had fights with Cassilas and kept supporting Mourinho. - Varane, keeps saying positive things about Mou. - Diego Lopez, made first GK. - Modric, didn't really bad mouthed Mou in public. - Obviously Essien, our Chelsea legend. - And now you've added Carvalho. I always had a feeling Ramos, Pepe, Casillas, Ronaldo, Marcelo lead the "anti-Mou camp" and the weaker players just followed them because of the pressure. (Di Maria, Coentrao etc) Am I right about these players and are there other players who supported Mou?
  16. Candidates: Matic, Hazard, Cesc, Diego, JT, Courtois, Azpi. These are also the most consistent players so far. Mine is Cesc, he changed our game completely.
  17. Eden and Azpi on Chelsea tv, nice and funny!
  18. Ramires will start for sure. Matic has been very good lately, Ramires is one of the reasons for that. He provides the right stability and is the perfect partner for Matic in big games. We've seen the Cesc-Matic combination a few times in big (away) games this season and we struggled. - United 1-1 - Liverpool COC 1-0 - Spurs 5-3 I expect: Cech/Courtois Iva Zouma JT Azpi Ramires Matic Willian Cesc Hazard Costa Cesc is a must, Zouma will probably start to deal with the pacey PSG attackers. Courtois or Cech? Not sure.
  19. We should've had a penalty, not given. Stoke should have had a penalty, not given. Suprised? No, fucking campaign and corrupt FA.
  20. Clear penalty (hands by Milner) not given to Stoke. Not suprised though.
  21. Remy, Willian, Hazard, Cuadrado, Ramires !! Pace pace pace!! Oscar finally dropped, yes!
