Big deal, the little magician can't defend like Oscar.

Don't even get me started on this one, Chels. Yet another laughable tactical decision from Mourinho. I wonder what he had to fear on that left side from a PSG side without the super fast Lucas Moura and Marquinhos as right back. Everybody knows Hazard is almost unstoppable when he has a fullback who makes overlapping runs to play off of. Everybody knows how good Luis is going forward and how PSG were going to try and double mark Hazard. Everybody knows Azpilicueta is right footed, so he has to check back to his stronger foot to either get a cross in or sometimes even make a forward pass. The split extra second he does that slows our tempo down. Everybody knows these things, including Mourinho, but because he's such a laughably defensively minded manager, he did nothing.
I almost burst out laughing when I saw Azpilicueta trying to make overlapping runs when we needed a goal, but then checking back on his right foot or then not driving all the way to the by-line because he is not comfortable there. Azpilicueta has no business playing on the wrong flank when Filipe Luis is in our squad.

SpecialistsInFailure reacted to Styles in 🇧🇷 Oscar
Oscar ruined one counter-attack that most decent players would have taken advantage of. But then Oscar has poor technique and vision so it would have been a miracle for him to have made the right pass.
His biggest contribution to the game was getting a player sent off. Other than that he did his usual bit of running around aimlessly and looking out of his depth.

Ramires is an integral part of this squad and the people who want him sold are crazy. His pace, intensity and stamina will be key in many games this season and offers something no one else in this team can. He is coming back fresh and will have something to prove. I, for one, welcome him back.

You go off some assumptions and some of them do not make sense.
Let's see.
Fact 1 - Lampard says he wasn't offered a contract, Mourinho says he was. Word against word, someone is lying, we can't know who is or if both are lying/telling truth from their point of view..
Fact 2 - Lampard is quoted saying he won't be playing for another PL club.
Fact 3 - of all MLS clubs Lampard chose to sign with a club that is affilated with Manchester City.
Fact 4 - Lampard is either completely stupid or he knew that this club won't start playing before Jan/Feb 2015, therefore if he wants to keep himself in condition he will have to go on loan.
Fact 5 - Lampard chose to go on loan to ManCity (or, as some assume, he was forced into it by contract obligations - but it's a contract he signed by his own will).
Fact 6 - "playing high level football to keep fit for National Team" was cited as main excuse of moving back to PL.
Fact 7 - Lampard is unlikely to play much in the National Team, especially being a bench warmer for MC.
And now we can have a situation where he stays at ManCity when the club he signed for goes into pre-season, if rumor about extending his loan becomes reality.
From my point of view it all looks like a bunch of cheap excuses. If Lampard came out and said "ok, Chelsea didn't want me anymore, so I'm continuing my PL career elsewhere, thanks for all and good luck" it would have been more acceptable than this "poor Frankie, he is so stupid he got manipulated into playing for Chelsea's title rival and it makes him so sad" we are hearing. It's all his choices, however you try to get around it.
He could have moved to another MLS club, he could have not gone on loan to City, he could have negotiated not playing against us. But most important - he could have come and explain how he ended up being a City player a week after promissing he won't be playing for any PL club other than Chelsea, and do it without "i didn't know, I didn't think, I didn't want" routine. If he did only the latter, I would still have my utmost respect for him as a man and as a professional. But not now.

It's not just the fact that he scored against us, ffs. It's the fact that he always talked about being a true blue (light blue it seems) and contradicted everything he has ever said by joining our direct rivals for 6 months and in the process taking points off us and possibly winning city a few points in the future as well which could have an impact in the title race. As I've said before, King Didier rejected multiple offers from England because he loves the club. He left Chelsea and when he came back to England he joined...Chelsea.

Drogba was clearly sub-par in both those games (on purpose) and he never looked like scoring because he didn't want to score against us. That's one of the many reasons I think that Drogba > Terry, Osgood etc

What does being a "top professional" have anything to do with being Chelsea's GOAT? I'm yet to see any argument in favor of that "top professional" statement I've come across dozens of times since yesterday, yet people talk about him being a top professional all the time.
As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather Lampard behaved like the biggest unprofessional ever in the game of football if it meant him bleeding blue, but he didn't. He [a] signed a contract that included a loan clause sending him to City, Chelsea's biggest title rivals in the PL, he came on the pitch vs Chelsea, and [c] then he scored vs Chelsea.
So again I ask what's the correlation between being a top professional and Chelsea's GOAT?
Doing a, b, and c is being a professional.
Refusing to sign that contract as long as the clause is part of it, refusing to play and even threatening Pellegrini to score an own goal if he used him vs Chelsea, and sitting down on the pitch after being subbed on vs Chelsea is bleeding blue.
Yes, Lampard is a top professional but we shall forget never that day he betrayed the Chelsea family, 21.09.2014.

If we are being 100% real, he had a horrendous world cup but all us Chelsea fans overrate and overhype him too much. Yes, he can score against Hull, or a hat-trick against Newcastle, but the reality is that he is not a player that we should build our team around. His inconsistency drives me nuts. I'll reserve my judgement until the end of next season when we have a proper striker leading the line.
