Pay attention to the fact that this is nothing more than another warmup game and means absolutely nothing regarding how this season will turn out. I agree, we've looked like shit in the preseason, but teams that look great in preseason often don't during the regular season. Teams that look poor in the preseason often look good in the regular season. We aren't like Arsenal. Losing a player or two won't kill this team. Jose's tactics may not always be pretty, but they're effective and will get us through the season.

It wouldn't surprise me if Mexico asked for those penalties. CONCACAF is pretty corrupt But really, I don't get how you can say the US weren't favorites. The US was either the sole favorites, or favorites along with Mexico. We just didn't get the calls Mexico did. And if Mexico win the final, all will not be forgotten. It'll be remembered for the bad calls that handed Mexico the final appearance. If Jamaica wins, all will be forgotten.

I thought I was going to see some kind of call in the US game to set up a US/Mexico final, but now I'm thinking they want that extra high-profile game between the US and Mexico to decide who goes to the Confederations Cup. Yes, all wild speculation, but either Mexico is the luckiest team to play, or there's something going on.

Comparing that team to Greece's 2004 team is not even close to being the same. That 2012 team had a handful of players that are or will be considered Chelsea legends. That, to me, equals a great team. They aren't a legendary team, or were even the best team in Europe that year, but that doesn't mean they weren't great. We're arguing about what makes a team great, and since we don't agree on that, we won't agree on anything else. From the replies, I'm getting the sense that others are defining a great team like the Barcelona teams of a few years ago. Those, to me, are legendary teams.

That team accomplished something no other Chelsea team had been able to before. That, to me, is a great team.
