Apart from the dedication of all the players in the game I really want to point out the variety in our set-pieces. This time we didn't only watch Willian/Fabregas's crosses to our defenders hoping they will score with a header (expect Terry goal of course) all the time which I really liked and I hope it will continue forward. I really hope more trophies are coming in this season, :blue scalf:
I don't know how many games Monaco played this season but in the studio before the game the commentators say they have 20 clean sheets in all competitions.
I said in the match thread that a win against Spurs would be a huge mental boost but not only. It would bring Mou confidence back in him after the FA crap all season. And 2 years without trophy it must be a big pressure for a manager of his caliber. Maybe it's a Mickey Mouse trophy but I really want to win in cause it could be vital.
It's not going to be easy, especially w/o Matic but if we win this no matter if this trophy is valuable or not it could be a huge moral boost to the whole team for the remainder of the season, considering we haven't been at our best since the start of the new year (exclude Swansea game). The tricky part is we're having a tough away game 3 days later vs West Ham in the league. This game could be a turning point to our season (no matter win or lose) so I hope the team's gonna be up for the task and get our revenge for the 5-3.
With this result I'm pretty sure we will qualify for the QF but it's annoying to watch our attack after 1-1. It looks like our attacking players f*cked up so many attacks on purpose. Like they didn't put any effort. I don't the defensive approach in big games at all but at least try to play counter-attacking football. After all 2>1.
