I don’t see how can he be defended anymore. This poor form (both performances and results) have been going for 4 months now. If it was a month of bad results, I would say it’s reactionary but he looks like he doesn’t know how to fix it. What’s the guarantee this won’t continue into next season - a squad overhaul again (?), because he clearly wants to play one way and it’s seen he can’t get this particular group of players to do it.

Only way I see them dropping, is if they fell of physically like last couple of seasons around April because they barely rotate and are playing at such high tempos. This time though, the buffer they have over anyone else will help immensily, unlike previous years.

Tbf to Klopp, Slot did inherit his whole squad and people seem to forget, it was also in the title race last season until the last month. With Arsenal and City struggling this season, by default they are top. I think they only bought Chiesea for some reason and there are talks he will already be loaned out in January.

The only thing I can blame him for today are the late subs. It was not suprising he wanted to ride the momentum after Noni's equalizer but he should've brought the attackers right after the goal. Nico was a passanger the whole game and by the time we equalized Sancho was fading out of the game as well.
