We have to close the gap and at least contest the premiership. I think given the state of City and United, we can win the league next season because of Jose's experience and the experience the younger players got last season.

I still can't believe it. I echo what most have said, it's a day i never expected to see after he left us 6 years ago. We're back on the football map and all the talk now will be about us. Modric would be immense for us, anyone who wouldn't want him here is deluded. The positions we need to properly strengthen is the pivot and maybe a CB. If anything the Modric signing would see an end to Marin, Benayoun, Malouda (obviously) and Piazon? KDB? We need depth. Oscar has played too many games this season as has Mata. Modric suits our new style perfectly.

So glad Palace made it, always had a soft spot for them tbh. If ever there was a club that deserved a bit of good fortune, it's them. They were nearly dead 3 years ago, they had to sell many players and had a game at Sheffield Wednesday that if they had lost they woulda been relegated to league 1. What a performance. I wasn't so sure about him in the youth cup games but now i see what he can offer. Was pretty poor against Norwich's kids yet very good against a full Man City team.
