Nah .. his form just regressed badly ! I think the Oscar who scored and had a 2/3 shots on target per match , the one who used to shoot accurate strong shots and open areas on the pitch with his long passes and movements is a different one from who we're watching now! even his long passing range became shorter!

I thought he peaked last couple of seasons! apparently he needs work forever! he's a good player who sometimes forgets the basics of football and sports spirit! but when in good form he does a good effort .. did very well with us since he came to SB .. maybe not this season but he's still valuable to us IMO

Well I disagree ... excluding Ramires who needs to be taught the basics of passing short and long balls alike .. no one would give him the ball except Ivanovic .. Eto'o just neglected him .. Willian really showed how much fear he has from Salah taking his spot for the rest of the season so he did ev.thing to isolate him and kept the play on azi's side all the first half .. Oscar made him run behind defence and then waited for someone else to appear so he could pass to when he could've just played a through ball and released him either on the wing or a one on one with the keeper at a time or a couple .. making the attacking process really slow so here goes our counters! it really seemed ugly seeing willian and oscar always playing on the left side and keeping a distance from Salah for the whole first half .. they seemed intimidated from him to me and I won't blame it on a lack of connection if u see the thermal map of willian and oscar's movement at this match!

what was with the players not passing to him 2day?! it was really bizzare!

Actually there's alot to talk about! like his ability to score from outside the box even when he was with Newcastle .. how powerful is his weaker foot shots .. and how much of a good body balance he has with decent control on the ball .. sticking with the last defender or inside the box ((something Torres never does)) so that he can make a chance out of it.. IMO he is a Gomez ((ex-bayern-fiorentina now)) like striker .. he will prove to be worthy if given the complete opportunity

I couldn't agree more .. he really needs to stand out more and step up to the level of Zidane and Ronaldinho .. he sure has the potential and skill .. by next season he has to be able to properly utilize the limitless options he has when he is in possession of the ball

Loved to read those opinions about DM or B2B .. pure or not .. and it's fair to say that yes there is something called a PURE DM .. at least here in Egypt ! here we have either AMs or DMs .. CMs are very rare ! you can trust me when I say I saw alot of DMs .. not WC or anything close but I know their roles pretty well and some of them are : Covering for attacking backs - disrupting counters early - protecting the team from out-of-box shooting - Marking AMs tightly ((see Lahm with bayern in midfield)) .. things a DM does rarely : Shooting - Assisting - Wing duties ((includes dribbling and moving at sides to cross)) ....... Matic is doing Exactly that at Chelsea with a much better added quality .. Assisting! .. his long balls are just awesome and incredibly accurate! he does a great coverage for his teammates and provides a station for starting attacks ((counters or else)) oh and his body balance and size! he could block sight! I guess he's perfect for the system ..
