  1. Its a good team. Plenty of experience around Kalas to keep him steady as well as Mikel, Matic and Lampard who will be providing defensive support.
  2. Natalie Sawyer is doing the Sky Sports News pre match build up if its any consolation to it being a sliverpool love fest
  3. Few youngsters there. Ake, Van Ginkel etc. Just saw the teams walk in to Anfield.
  4. Whats the deadline for submitting the team sheet, is it 30 mins before kick off?
  5. It's an industrial city of about half a million. Because of its docks and that its situated right by the sea there is a huge immigrant population. When they wound down the shipyards in Liverpool it left 1/5 unemployed which led to a lot of the social issues it has. Probably in the last 20 years it has recovered but there are still bad areas in Liverpool. I can't completely slate the city of Liverpool though as I'm from Glasgow, which suffered a lot of similar issues to Liverpool with deindustrialisation and its whole set of other issues. I can totally slate the football team though. They are wankers.
  6. Goal keeper is a tricky one. I know there are a few nasty minded Sliverpool players that might give Schwazer a few bumps just out of badness. Like Bushman said... I'm looking forward to seeing the team sheet. Jose always has something interesting up his sleeve.
  7. The c*nts aren't having a party at our expense.
  8. Will be expecting 100% from the players from kick off to final whistle regardless.
  9. Wow. Liverpool fans. Small minded people from a small city. Obviously fear the mighty Chels, don't have faith that their team can beat us fair and square in a football match and resort to backhanded efforts like that. Sad, sad people. If they done something that was actually funny then fair enough, I'd hold my hands up and say "haha good one Scouse twats" but that stuff is clearly the work of people with too much time on their hands i.e no job and no life. Anyway. To the football side of things. A lot of you on here have just resigned yourselves to a defeat... given up on today before today had even come. If you had that attitude around some of the lads that follow Chelsea week in, week out they would be quick to serve you a piece of their mind. Yes, the Champions League is now priority. Yes, The Premier League is out of our hands- but we are not going all the way up to Liverpool to let a bunch of state-benefit claiming scousers walk all over us. Leave the defeatist attitude to losers. Chelsea are winners. You may also find that anyone who gets a game today, who wouldn't usually play will be putting in effort x10 to make sure its a hard choice to leave them out again. So final words: COME ON CHELS!
  10. Any idiot seems to be able to spread their opinion tainted piece to a national and international audience these days. Gave up on the "news"papers a long time ago.
  11. Van Ginkel has just been put in a feature on the website... is that a hint of his forthcoming appearance http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3747039/title/the-selector-marco-van-ginkel
  12. Bookies have us about 9/2 for Sunday now
  13. "Three years ago, making such wholesale changes would have landed them with a five-figure fine but the Premier League amended its rules in the summer of 2011 following controversial punishments handed out to Blackpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Clubs are now at liberty to field anyone from their official 25-man squad list, in addition to some under-21 players. There is no specific limit on how many youngsters clubs can start but the Premier League does have the power to fine them if it feels the integrity of the competition has been unduly compromised." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10782390/Liverpool-v-Chelsea-Roman-Abramovich-backs-Jose-Mourinhos-plan-to-field-B-team-in-Anfield-showdown.html
  14. The Spanish FA move heaven and earth to support their clubs in European competition. English FA not interested. If we did field a "B team" the argument can be that it was still the strongest squad as the regular first time players are fatigued... hence making the players fielded the strongest team.
  15. It's a club. Chelsea Football club. It's our club. Abramovich might have the legal documents but if it wasn't for the supporters there would be no club. Chelsea is our club as much as a golf club or similar is to it's members. Only we do it in mass. There is no better feeling than walking down Fulham Rd on a Saturday (or Sunday... And even sometimes Monday these days ) and sharing the bond that Chelsea brings.
  16. Using 'we' or 'us' identifies your allegiance to Chelsea as opposed to being neutral or against.
  17. We'll it was parked up most of the night
  18. Good result. A few hairy moments near the end. Big Schwarzer was man of the match by a mile tonight. Safe hands kept us in it. I was fearing the worst after Cech went off. Torres deserves his place for the next leg.
  19. Poor free kick from Sideshow there... Should have left it for Lamps
  20. Everybody knows how to do Mourinho's job better than Mourinho... Until Mourinho does his job.
  21. Sometimes it's just the We-Hate-Torres-Club on here. Whatever your thoughts let's get behind him while he is on the pitch. And the rest of the team.
  22. The wall wasn't back far enough for Luiz to take a good free kick
