Hullo... Getting a membership(s) through the club website is a worthwhile investment. This allows you to buy tickets on the website on a loyalty basis. You also get the official magazine posted too. A membership also allows you to sign up for the Viagogo service. This is where season ticket holders sell their seats. Then you either have the tickets posted out or you can pick them up at the box office. You need a membership for each person you wish to buy a ticket for. If a 7 hour drive down isn't an option or just isn't convenient, then the best option really is to fly down. British Airways has several flights a day to London Heathrow (and also a couple to London City). You can book your tickets online. Prices fluctuate depending on day of the week/time of flight/demand etc. If it's an early kick off you can get away with flying down and back up on the same day. There's been a few hotel suggestions already, another one is the Jurys inn - Chelsea, which is actually down at Imperial Wharf (ten minute walk from the stadium). I'm not an expert on the transport system but I find the following arrangement convenient: Heathrow Express from Heathrow to Paddington Then District Line underground from Paddington to Fulham Broadway. Fulham Broadway is basically next door to The Bridge so you are right at the stadium or within walking distance to the Jurys Inn. Taxi from the airport can cost anywhere between £55 and £85 to the area. Been there done that. Heathrow express is £21, there's a smartphone app for it. There are cheaper options like the underground from the airport but not as convenient (time + changes etc) so I never use that. Heathrow express is a 20 minute journey from terminal 5 where the British Airways flights from Glasgow operate from. If you need advice give me a shout :-)
